The…read moreprocess works like this: you pay 5 euros for each hour and you get unlimited coffee, tea, fruits, snacks, and other food options. You can also pay 24 euros for the entire day or 240 euros for the whole month. When you check in at the front counter, you get a card that keeps track of your time. Advice: students get 10% off and members (free of charge and requires filling out a simple form or sending an email) get 15% off for durations over two hours. The discount comes in handy if you stay the entire day. You can also print up to 10 pages for free and pay a small fee for each additional page afterward. The cafe is spacious with an upstairs conference room, two toilets, a variety of different seating arrangements, and plenty of space to find a spot to work. There are small lockers for storing your items if you decide to come in and out during the course of the day. You can even find board games and books to read! The owners and baristas are all very friendly and can answer any questions you may have. I've found this place to be a great spot to increase my productivity or simply to hang out with friends. This cafe is off the main touristy path, and seems to be a local spot as well, with a second story provided additional seating and lounging areas. Our server/bartender was incredibly friendly and attentive. Great way to spend some time relaxing, while letting the rain fall and move through the city.

After browsing the Christmas markets around the cathedral, we doubled back to sample their wares. At the back of the chocolate shop, there is a winding staircase to the dining room. It's charming and small, and a pastry display case is in the center. We weren't sure of the ordering procedures up here -- one of the staff motioned to me to go over to the pastry case -- I wasn't sure if it was self-serve or not -- but I sat back down and waited. I requested a holiday spice tea -- they said they were out -- and the rest of our party ordered hot chocolate. It was rich and thick and served in mugs (like cacao bean), and although good, some expressed that it wasn't the best they'd had. I was served a rich chocolate pastry and tea. The warm and cozy ambiance is the best part. Purchase chocolates in the shop downstairs before you leave.
