Everytime I go here, there is one lady who is fake AF. And whenever you ask her questions she acts like your stupid and makes it very obvious. Whenever I get her at the window she always seems like she's begging for tips too. I always tip my baristas. I work in the tipping business too haha. But anyways she's usually on the intercom every single time I come to the Starbucks here in town. Anyways, everyone else there is really nice, but she is super fake and makes it very obvious. This was formerly my "regular" Starbucks before the focus of my daily activities moved away from St. Helens and more toward Portland. I try to pop in from time to time but I find myself doing so less and less - not from any problem with the location, just due to not finding the setting quite as inviting as I once did. The baristas are nice. The "old guard" that is still there from my days as a regular are as good as one could ever want them to be at what they do. Some of the more recent additions to the crew are also quite solid. However it seems that they are having more turn-over than I remember being normal, and I haven't seen the manager I knew for quite some time now (perhaps simply due to my not being there as much). Then there is the renovation. The company remodeled but it seems that they didn't think it worthwhile to go far enough. The space is now oddly used and the decision to make it an "evening store" was - I think - not well considered. St. Helens is a bedroom to Portland; not too many people are going to be stopping in for wine and nibbles in the evening. And of course, it has a drive through... great for the morning rush but, like all Starbucks with this "third space" destroying feature, wholly destructive to the idea of it being a cafe. The race to fill drink orders for the stream of rushed commuters detracts from the focus of the baristas. That all said, other than the Safeway-run in store location across the highway (what genius thought putting the only two Starbucks in the entire county 50 meters apart from one another was a good idea?) this is the only place for miles to heed the Siren's song, and as things go, it is, as the Yelp ratings state, A-OK. read more

This location has a busy drive-thru but it is never understaffed, so the partners are friendly and orders are filled quickly. The store has high ceiling and big windows, so it has a very airy feel to it. The big table can be reserved by local groups like churches and community groups. Note: There *is* a bicycle parking behind the building next to the commercial fueling station. You can go in there through drive-thru entrance by the Verizon Wireless store, or through the gas station entrance across Gable Road from Walmart. read more

For me what makes them a 4 star rather than the normal 3 star that I would give Starbucks is that the ppl actually care who you are and try to use ur name. I always appreciate it when someone takes the time to not just know who I am but what my name is. I order that same old thing just a black cup of coffee but they never make it feel like oh it's just another cup of coffee for them. Even I. Starbucks, while they have pretty good breakfast sandwiches, really lack in coffee making. I have tried them multiple times hoping I was wrong that the coffee they make actually tastes like coffee instead of warm milk, with no avail. Even with an extra shot, it still is bland and tastes extremely watered down, if I can even taste the coffee. I will not order coffee here again. I will stick with the other coffee places where I can actually taste the coffee in the drinks. read more

We walked up and justin, the employee, tried to tell us we had to take our one item somewhere else but we also wanted a to order a drink which he didn't even ask us about. he assumed we were just trying to pay for our item from Safeway. after we told him we wanted a drink he had nothin but attitude towards us and no respect at all. There's only one Starbucks in town and this is it. I waited a long time for one to open here, so I can't even tell you how please I am that St Helens finally has one! The location is convenient along the highway, with free parking and a drive through if you're in a hurry. Good place to sit and do some work as well since they have free wifi and it's usually pretty quiet inside (other than the music). read more

This is a great Starbucks. The drive-thru service is almost always fast, and always friendly. I stop here almost every day, and I've only had one order not be perfect - that order was immediately corrected, and had been caught by the person at the window before it even got to me. The morning crew during the week is especially good. Sometimes I have my dogs with me at the drive-thru. Though dog biscuits are no longer available, they have something better - a puppuccino. I have found several Starbucks that offer these to dogs. It is whipped cream in a small sample cup. My dogs LOVE coming here! This is definitely my favorite coffee place in the county. read more

This is an awesome Starbucks. The staff is always nice and the tables are always clean. I've gone through a few times when they've been really busy and have run out of things, like seasonal items, and they always help me find something similar and make it a great experience. Their new cold brew toasted coconut latte is amazing and this location always gives it with light ice, which is such an awesome bonus. read more
