A good visit I don't normally frequent coffee shops but this was a cool day and a Hot Chocolate sure sounded good. I looked on Yelp for a Starbucks I had not written a review for yet and came up with this one. I stopped in. Nice place they had with Christmas music playing and several available tables. Someone welcomed me. I always like that. It wasn't at all busy inside so I was able to step right up and order. My order taker was upbeat and once I gave him my order and name, he referred to me by name as we exchanged pleasantries. I like that too. My drink was good. It came in a paper cup. While it wasn't a rich chocolate flavor in a picturesque mug with whipped cream spiraling up from the liquid, I was not disappointed. I comfortably settled in and spent about 10 minutes watching happy people entering and picking up premade drinks that I assume were ordered through online apps. It was a good visit. read more

This store, for me, feels like a home away from home. The morning crew is stellar. They are quick, efficient, attentive, happy to be there, and always make delicious coffee. Coffee was barely warm and the sugar was not stirred so I had to drink down to the bottom before it got sweet enough; then it was too sweet.

I'm sorry, but if you have to close at noon, then you should not be in business. It's a shame because I used to frequent this location due to how nice it was in here. But now, without any explanation whatsoever, they decided to change the hours to noon and before this, they basically limited the indoor seating. I don't care what the reason is, it is absurd and terrible for customer experience. I honestly hope that this location goes out of business so the other locations can get their heads on straight and realize that it's not good for business to have unreasonable business hours. Well I would give this place a five stars because they make really good drinks and normally their customer service is excellent but I'm not understanding why this morning this happened. I pulled up to the drive-through window and there was silence on the other end. Normally I'm greeted within a few seconds of arrival so all I said was hello. Then the barista came on the mic and said sorry I was answering another customer's question and then said you're not the only customer Daniel. Then when I got to the window she proceeded to say that she was by myself in the mornings. Well I'm sorry. So I guess I gave Starbucks 4 stars. Reason: it's the only place where I can get an decent coffee. I am an spoiled Venezuelan used to great European style coffee with the best Caribbean coffee beens. I'm not usually a Starbucks frequent flyer and much less a Yelp Reviewer, but today really called for this! I wanted a quick breakfast and Starbucks University was the closest restaurant available. Breakfast bacon, egg wrap was my best option to start my day. However, the reason for this review is that when I was receiving my order, I looked inside to see the employee preparing someone else's breakfast, and I guess he prepared mine too, and I saw he had a full-grown bushy, ungroomed beard to the point where you could barely see his lips. This totally grossed me out and I couldnt eat my wrap. It was the bushiest, biggest beard I've ever seen allowed on an employee at a food establishment. This is purely un-hygienic for a restaurant and facial hair should not be allowed to be worn to that extreme! If women are expected to conform to acrylic nail restrictions, so should men for facial hair! I was truly bothered and found this experience very distasteful and unappetizing. read more

When I worked at the airport, this was my stop every single morning. The baristas are always friendly and my coffee was always perfect. The seats are some of the most comfortable I ever sat at and the location is perfect. It's also one of the very few Starbucks locations that I have ever found, besides in Vegas. I work in the Publix shopping center behind this Starbucks and go here almost daily. Even though my order is kinda complicated, they make it delicious every time. Best of all, I never have to wonder what their hours are: they are open 24/7! Never heard of a 24/7 Starbucks before, much less in Sarasota! The only downside is no drive through :-( read more

I've never encountered baristas so nice. Right now I live right down the street, so this is my Starbucks of choice when I need to do some freelance work on my laptop, but even if I moved across town, I'd still go out of my way to come here. On more than one occasion, the baristas I've had have really gone out of their way to make sure I had a great drink and a great experience. Also, every time I've gone, there's been enough seating for me to grab a great spot, whether I was alone or with friends. And it's usually relatively quiet for how many people are here, making it pretty easy to get work done. read more

I am a loyal Starbucks customer at University Parkway. I venture at different times of the day and night depending on the shift I am working that day. The employees are always friendly and seem to care about what they are doing. One particular Baristia stands out because when I go at night he is always funny and always cares about the comfort of the customers. He is a bald bearded guy.
