This Starbucks is very hit or miss. If you order ahead in the app, the timing is never accurate and you often have to wait. Especially on the weekends! Expect to wait an extra 15 minutes! The furniture is pretty run down and can tell has had years of wear and tear. They recently changed the seating arrangement of the cafe, and it looks like less available seating. read more

I passed through Richmond Hill while enroute to CT and stopped by Starbucks for a latte. As with every other Starbucks location, this one attempts to tip-shame with the point of sale terminal prompting me to tip hourly employees. According to the Starbucks jobs posting site, baristas earn "Starting Hourly Pay Range 15.75 to 17.88 USD" so no, I don't tip. Tips are reserved for those employees paid $2.13 an hour, per Federal guidelines a tipped worker is anyone who makes at least $30/month in tips. After I paid, I waited. And waited. And waited. So after 10 minutes I inquired about the drink and was told only one person makes drinks drinks like mine. So I started paying attention to customers, specifically when & what they ordered and when they received said order. I was specifically waiting for someone to order the same drink as me and sure enough, after a minute someone did. I listened for his name and waited. I could see he tipped, I just couldn't see what amount. His prerogative. After 4 minutes, his drink was served. Mine has now been waiting 16 minutes, give or take a minute. It was clear this location feels slighted if not tipped on top of the $15 to $17 hourly rate they are paid. I left the drink, I didn't feel like drinking what ever they were going to put into a cup. read more

When I asked if they could just tell me how much longer it would be, the girl got really snappy with me and said can't you see we're busy and I said yes ma'am I understand that, however, it was supposed to be done 25 minutes ago and it's been 55 minutes since I ordered. I have been through the drive thru quite a few times, but I finally made it in the actual store on a recent visit. - Parking - Private lot, but it's pretty tight. The whole parking lot and drive thru is, IMO, poorly designed. If you have a large vehicle, be careful driving in. It's quite a sharp turn to get in to the lot and then to get to the drive thru queue which is wrapping around the building. - Vibe - It's actually quite open for a compact store. That location seems to be pretty new and updated with the recent Starbucks design with the black and white murals of flowers. There is a patio with a few tables in the front by the parking lot. - Eats / Refreshments - Mocha Cookie Crumble Frapp - I am really loving this flavor that is part of their seasonal rotation. They always seem to throw 3 new flavors every few months or so. I think it has whipped cream on the bottom, with mocha frapp and cookie crumbs mixed in it, topped with whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce. My kinda drink! Thumbs up from this gal! Cake pops - My kids see anything resembling a lollipop and they go bananas! I got them each a different flavor per their request. The pink frosting one has vanilla cake inside and the dark chocolate frosting has chocolate cake inside. They were gone in 2 minutes flat. - TLC - There was a really sweet girl during our visit. She was a little soft spoken, but her customer service game was strong! I think she made the visit stand out, out of all my visits. She was just super sweet, very thorough with her questions and when a few customers and I were waiting at the other end for our drinks, she made sure to check in with everyone to see where our drinks were in the queue. Also, one of my friend's kids commented that there was a fly in the display case with all the baked goods. She informed me that the items were only in there for show and with this Southern heat it was impossible to keep the flies out. She reassured me that all items that we ordered were taken from a different stash, away from the pesky flies. - Kiddos - Lots of choices for the little ones! Organic Horizon milks, apple sauce pouches, little Madeleines and Cake pops like the ones my kids had. My friend ordered the Vanilla Bean Frapps for all 3 of her kids. Tastes like an ice cream and no caffeine. It's conveniently located on Ford Ave, by a stop light. Perfect little spot to grab and go before you hit the highway! read more

Mixed feelings on this instance... I've been here twice now, both of the times it was a weekday, early-mid morning when folks are still out getting breakfast. The first time was a straightforward visit, got there, parked, ordered, and viola - my name was being called within minutes. Now, the second visit, a month later, was a whole 'nuther story... Like the first time, I got there, park, ordered, and then...and then...and then...waited. And by waited, I mean waited. Waited as others got their orders and left, waited as other names I don't remember got called, and waited some more as the food part of the order sat on the table - getting cold. Though the food was cold by the time I got my drinks, the drinks were at least fresh (either hot or cold) so I can't really complain about that. The place seemed fully staff, from all the flurry of activity trying to keep the drive through moving and all the other orders that came and went. So what to do about a rating? Well, if Yelp would allow 1/2 stars, I'd give this place 2 and a 1/2 (are you listening, Yelp?). It's no mystery that Starbucks is by far my favorite stop for coffee and other selections that are spontaneously dictated by my cravings for great coffee. I have visited literally hundreds of Starbucks' location since they've come into existence and although they all seem to be pretty consistence with the quality of the products they offer; the service, quality of the product, wait-time, cleanliness and accessibility of the location are the five points I will rate all of them on going forward - so to make the point I've recently incorporated a rating system based on this short list to calculate the rating of the locations I visit. I feel all these criterions are controllable by the corporation, the franchise owner or store manager. Stop by 30 minutes till closing. Ask for a hot mocha and a drip coffee. I was informed that they no longer had coffee. I said that's fine. I'll wait for you to make more. She told me we're not allowed to make a new pot of coffee 30 minutes before closing. I said I don't understand all you serve here is coffee and she says yeah I can make you something else like an Americano. So I said no I'll have a sweet cream cold brew. Sorry we're out of that. OK I will have than a nitro sweet cream. Please add three equals. We're out of all diet sugar I was like man no coffee no cold brew no diet sugar. So I paid my 14 dollars and was prompted for a tip. This place is great if your looking for a calm place for your kid to catch their afternoon nap. It's very quiet in your car in the drive through. By the time you get your beverage they are well rested for the rest of the days activities. I personally like to come right after lunch and by the time I get their snack it is the perfect time holding them over until our 7 pm dinner. I have only missed my child's 3 pm bus twice. In all seriousness, you are better driving 20 miles out of your way to avoid this place. read more

As a longtime customer of this Starbucks, I am always greeted by the girls working in the morning. They are always pleasant despite being faced with a barrage of orders and tasks. Most of the time, I walk in, and they know my order without me having to tell them. Then, on most days, I will sit in the café and enjoy my coffee. Because of this, I get to see what happens. Unfortunately, the location of this store puts it in a prime location for these employees to be subjected to several different types of customers. First, they get to deal with the "Richmond Hill Karen's" (not just female) who will take out their frustration on the employees because their Lululemons don't fit the way they are supposed to (spoiler, it's not the leggings that are the problem) while telling everyone "How much money I have" (another spoiler, if you talk about how much money you have, you aren't rich). Second, given the proximity to one of the most travelled Interstates in the country, these employees get to deal with the fine folks who are travelling along the east coast. While Georgia certainly appreciates your money, perhaps some of you can leave your attitude back where you came from as it isn't the stores fault your kids are hungry, there is an accident, there is no parking, or your wife saw you staring a little too long at the convertible next to you like you were Chevy Chase in Vacation. I have experienced these workers get yelled at, cursed at, threatened to call and get them fired, money thrown at them, people demand free stuff and watched the emotional toll it takes on them while they are trying to work to pay the same bills that we all have. I have seen the sweetest girls with tears in their eyes reach their breaking point because the wait is longer than these reviewers think is acceptable for THEM (because of course, they are more important than everyone). For those of you who take to Google Reviews, Yelp, Tripadvisor, Facebook, MySpace or whatever else gives your keyboard muscles the workout you so badly desire because the store "turned off mobile ordering" or "is out of holiday flavors" let me give you some advice. Be better. Show some grace and understand these workers didn't purposely make the wait longer or run out of your favorite syrup. I get that you desperately need your fancy drink in your holiday cup to put in your Tesla that you will undoubtedly drive over the curb in the parking lot that you think is a street. It's clear you so desperately need the attention on social media so you can make your life look better to your "friends" while you are secretly drowning in debt. Calm down, let it go and just remember, that first bottle of wine at noon is closer than you think. To the workers, the real customers appreciate you. We see you working, and we see what you go through. Holiday season is upon which means your life will be more stressful and the pettiness of those hiding behind their "this is my ugly sweater" (another spoiler, its your attitude that is ugly, not your sweater) Having said all of that. This store is clean, the staff is courteous and appreciative of kindness and reciprocates it to everyone, even those who don't deserve it. This will always be my go to Starbucks. read more

Enroute from Florida to North Carolina, we stopped at the Richmond Hill, GA Starbucks to get some of our favorite coffee....Peppermint Mocha. As pictured below, the store was nearly empty with 1 customer and 1 car in drive thru. I happily approached the counter only to be met with not 1 greeting and NO assistance. There were 3 or 4 people behind the counter and NOT 1 of them came to the counter to take my order. Review your Sunday morning video and you will see me standing there just waiting to get a good cup of mocha....NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! I dont mind waiting if there is a line but no one in the store and no greeting nothing? I didn't say a word after 4 to 5 minutes but exited the store and decided to spend my $$$$ elsewhere! Best customer service! We are locals and come in here all the time. My husband comes to this establishment every morning before work and says they have the best customer service and everyone is always so nice and they make a great americano. For the amount of traffic that the establishment gets it is very clean. Also, for the amount of people that go through this establishment the Starbucks employees are always moving a mile a minute and always do a fantastic job. Parking can be tricky at times because the lot is shared with 2 other businesses. read more

After waiting in an extremely long line of cars, I was told at the window that their card machine was down and could only take cash or the app. When asked if they could break a bigger bill, I was told no but to come inside?
