Still have a headache from the whiplash I got pulling into this location. Although it was clearly an entrance it was like driving over a curb and into a pot hole. You're a billion dollar company.Fix your parking lot! Drive through littered with trash. The prissy boy hands me my hot and sticky coffee with no sleeve. Gives me an unopenable sleeve so I'm left juggling a hot , sticky cup, a pup cup and a useless sleeve. Overall a very bad sensory experience. read more

Great location for easy on/off the interstate. They were super busy but, the staff went out of their way to be friendly and especially helpful. Everything about this Starbucks is annoying. The location is horrible and it's nearly impossible to get out of if they're busy. They are extremely slow and unorganized. There were boxes laying around everywhere. It seemed like they were out of almost everything. Their bathroom was out of toilet paper. This seems like an ideal place for a Starbucks however, it is very congested. At this exit there are numerous businesses and hotels. Getting in and out of this locations was very difficult. I'm from Dallas Texas and just recently moved to Richmond. I was so excited to see that there was a drive thru Starbucks! But the drink I got was HORRIBLE! I ordered and iced vanilla latte...all I tasted was milk and vanilla...no coffee. I always order this and this is the first time my coffee came back this white. I have never been to a Starbucks like this but maybe they do it different in Kentucky. We placed an order for 2 drinks at 2:25 and didn't get our order until 2:55. This Starbucks location is my go-to place for getting work done with minimal distraction. This location has free Wi-Fi and sufficient indoor seating. There are a few high-top seats as well as three conventional four-top tables, a mini-lounge, and a long table that seats eight. There are also several plugs for a long day of studying, writing, or homework. It's a very rare day to find no seating at all. On the off-chamce, you may be able to snag a patio seat. Or you can skip it altogether with a drive-thru order. Interestingly, the crowd isn't universal college age customers. They're here of course, but you can also spot middle-aged telecommuters and kids and families. Accordingly, the in-house music tends to be mellow. As far as the coffee and food go, it's standard fare. I usually stick to breakfast sandwiches and iced coffee. Like other chain stores, this location cycles through a specialty drink promotion at least once a month. The store is also fully integrated with the Starbucks app and accommodates mobile pay purchases. What earns the five-star review is the staff. Cameron, Kara, and the young sista with awesome shoes are three among many cheerful and upbeat employees. And no matter who serves you, drinks and food come out consistently correct and quick. It's worth the drive to Exit 87. read more

I travel quite a bit to places like Washington DC, Atlanta, NYC and this is hands down the slowest starbucks I have ever been to. It doesn't matter what time you come there is always 15 cars in the drive thru. They service 1 car every 5 minutes if that fast. This location should take noted from Boston Rd in Lexington. Went inside because the line was long. The blond girl inside with headset on was hateful with everyone. She looked like she was miserable and she was bringing the whole vibe down for the rest of the staff. Her name was unclear but she had Tattoos on her arms. The rest of the staff was trying so hard. My food and coffee was good. I just hate for people to be mean to other people they work with. That girl was not genuine, I dread seeing her at that location. This location wasn't packed when I was here. I got the entire big table to myself in the corner. Great place to study! There were comfy couches all around, tables, and enough outlets to go around. This Starbucks was very busy this afternoon. As I got in line at least 12 cars deep, fully prepared to wait, I noticed that the associate working the drive thru was playing with puppies from the car at the window. It appeared to be multiple puppies... Leaning out of the window and kissing on them thru their mask. I'm no monster, puppies are adorable. But in the middle of a rush - during a pandemic no less - was likely not the right time to handle dogs at your point of sale. When the person handed back the last puppy they sort of clapped their hands clean outside the window. Hopefully there was hand washing before the next order was handed out, but this was clearly disrespectful of peoples time, proper food handling and likely Starbucks' corporate COVID protocols. I went inside asked for that person to not handle my beverage and got out of there. Very disappointed in my experience. read more

Though the drinks were made correctly and the restaurant was clean & in good repair, the location itself is a mess. It's very hard to find (even though the sign says it's a mere .3 miles off the interstate) and the parking lot is a mess! I ordered two drinks via mobile order and it easily took 20+ minutes to get back on the road-- it was almost impossible to get out off the lot with the tight spacing and people backed up trying to get through the drive-thru. Do NOT stop here if you're in a rush or need to a quick stop off of I-75. We will go a few exits up next time we need a Starbucks fix on our drive. read more

Friendly staff, like freakishly friendly and quick service. They have a drive thru as well which is always nice but unfortunately my butt was asleep from a long drive so I wanted to shake it off. I've been in several Starbucks, and I give this location three stars for several reasons. First, it's a little bit of a pain to even get to and the parking lot is small - this opens the problem of trying to park and leave if the drive thru is busy. Second, the drive thru lane is only one lane wide, so DO NOT think you can go around the building to exit the parking lot. You'll get stuck in the drive thru. Third, inside, seating is very limited. There's perhaps room for 10 people to sit comfortably and not on top of each other. The coffee and misc. is just like you'll find at any other Starbucks, but parking is a pain, and accessing the place is a pain. If you're staying at one of the nearby hotels, and you can walk there, it wouldn't be a bad choice. If you're driving though or expecting to sit a spell and enjoy your drink, you may want to give it some deeper thought. read more

While the coffee/drinks here are consistent with other Starbucks, the design of the driveway will make you're short stop for coffee turn into a 20 minute expedition of simply trying to park, and then exit the parking lot! You may also need 4 wheel drive just to get over the double speed bump sized "bump" pulling into the lot. read more

Whenever I am headed to Richmond or Berea I frequently stop by this Starbucks location. I have always found the service to be very good and the atmosphere to be pleasant. I especially enjoy the distant view of the mountains in Berea from this location. Also, the Wi-Fi is very good here. read more

Severely lacking in customer service. Took several minutes to order - no idea why since the order was straightforward - a grande decaf with sugar free vanilla syrup and a venti peppermint mocha. Decaf can without syrup and no room for cream (which was requested). Mocha took 10 minutes. We were still waiting long after the decaf pour over was ready. Took the decaf back up for syrup. A very grumpy guy took the cup, squirted in some syrup (overflowing the cup) and then set the drippy cup down and walked away. Tables were dirty. Not a good experience. read more

Not a location to stop and grab a cup of coffee if you're driving. While only a few feet from the interstate, a half-dozen poorly timed lights make this a 10-minute drive to and from I-75. Once there, all that's left is to hop the curb into the parking lot and wait for the drive thru to clear out to access parking spots. Crappie service, waited in the drive through line for at least 20 minutes for a "hot" chia tea latte. When I got it , it was cold . My coffee machine makes a hotter chia than the one I received. Stopped at this Starbucks on my way to/from Lexington. Super quick service in the drive thru and my drinks were made correctly. Can't really ask for much more when just passing through. But a super friendly staff gave me a smile on my road trip. You can see the sign from 75, but if you're not familiar with the area, it's a little tricky to find the store. If you're heading north, make a left; if you're heading south take a right. At the first light turn left & then take the first left. It looks like you're turning into the hotel, but I promise it's tucked behind there. read more
