Starbucks

Love Starbucks in a foreign country. Coffee tastes great! The menu was fantastic. The food was good. The coffee hot and hearty roast. It was a welcome sight after days of no Starbucks! Love it.

This Starbucks is inside La Isla Shopping Center. It was very busy when I showed up at night. Service was good. I came here to pick up a souvenir. The Starbucks look the same any other Starbucks. Nothing too special. Good selections of pastries, food and snacks (even at night time). You can use the Starbucks app to pay for your food here but unfortunately no points.

Friendly staff. Quick service. You can use your Starbucks app to pay but you don't earn points like in the US. Definitely recommend this location!

The best Starbucks location I've been to. You can enjoy your drink and treats in the middle of the beautiful La Isla shopping area. The patio is surrounded by lush vegetation and the sounds of the water running alongside it. They even had a deal for a latte and croissant sandwich for 80 pesos (around $5). What a deal!

The owner was super welcoming and friendly and had the nicest dog named Cozmo who was more then happy to get a lil scratch and pat on the head. Love this spot!

True to its name -- Spanish slang for "calm down" or "take it easy" or even "chill out" it is a straightforward cafe with slightly elevated prices and genuinely excellent customer service. That service, more than anything else, is what drives its strong reputation. The space inside is large enough to accommodate some decent sized groups, but due to the lack of ventilation I opted for their limited outdoor seating. It wasn't the most ideal situation, as a sign fell on top of my table, a stray dog was sniffing around, and the next door space was undergoing loud construction. We still made it work, due to the graciousness of the staff and their willingness to stay open past 4pm. Their iced latte ($70MXN), double espresso ($55MXN), and mambo smoothie ($110MXN) was the right thing to order at the time, but nothing too out of the ordinary. The latte had a good amount of milk in it, so much to the point that I was unsure about any coffee. This place is cash only and the lack of additional IVA tax charges came as a nice surprise. When I'm back in PV, I'm definitely interested in trying their brunch. The chilaquiles, breakfast tacos look fabulous, though the rest of the menu seems a bit skewed toward the gringo palate. The ultra friendly staff make this place what it is, which is worthy of many future visits.

Had such a beautiful experience learning the process of the cacao bean, our group was 6 people sat around a large table on the second floor. The building has steep stairs and is right off of the Main Street el centro. The experience began and was lead by Lizzette, who was the best at explaining everything with ease, clarity and patience, she was intelligent and precise, it is apparent that she loves her job and is passionate about mesoamerica. The workshop was hands on and began with toasting beans, We explored a Spanish church version of a hot chocolate recipe that was kept secret for over 200 years! We learned much history through the lesson and the group had great questions. Gracias Lizette por todo tu conocimiento y amor por lo que haces. Estoy orgullosa de ti y espero que siempre sepas que hay personas que realmente te admiran.

This review is based on the mini workshop aimed at kids…read more I'm thinking the high average rating of this place is from the actual workshops that are not the mini one tailored to kids. The workshop advertises itself as a place to "make chocolate"; I guess I interpreted this a little too literally. The workshop consisted of literally pouring melted chocolate into molds and then adding some toppings like nuts or sprinkles to it. While this was very fun for my daughter who is a toddler, I felt ripped off for this experience. Furthermore, that you aren't even provided enough chocolate to complete your molds is a little disappointing in my opinion. Others in my group seemed to agree. The chocolate itself is very pricy, especially for the quality. It was more expensive than the pricier bars I've seen at Whole Foods. However, if you go to the botanical gardens, this chocolate is sold there but for about 25% more than what is in the shop. It also would have been nice to have had dark chocolate as an option for the experience. I think just having one type (milk chocolate) is an easy way for choco museum to improve. While our host was friendly and informative, it felt like a stretch to call this place a museum. I did learn stuff, but it seems you could only access the "museum" if you paid for a workshop.
