I always prefer Starbucks locations that do not offer drive-thru service, due to the fact that most of the drive-thru locations tend to focus more on the drive-thru patrons than those of us in the store. This particular location is an exception to that rule, due largely to the difficultly getting in and out. The parking situation is dismal, and good luck getting back onto the highway after your visit. I would overlook that if the service was better, but that's not their forte, either. After a few visits, I'm done. Case in point; I placed a mobile order yesterday for two drinks, went through the pain of getting into their lot, parked and went inside. No greeting. When the barista looked up I let her know that I was picking up a mobile order. She said she was just finishing it up. Perfect! Only one problem... both drinks were wrong. I asked her if I'd ordered incorrectly. She assured me that I hadn't, but didn't apologize about their mistake. It was me who felt compelled to apologize to her for having to remake the order. Such a great Starbucks location! Right across from the mall yet secluded so its not too busy. Great seating both indoor and out. Plenty of room for a gathering of friends or family. My hot latte was given to me without a sleeve. I grabbed one & the girl working basically scolded me & spoke to me in a very derogatory way saying that I "need to ask for a sleeve bc we're only putting sleeves on certain drinks". I am a HUGE Starbucks fan but this location is not up to par. We stop here every time we are heading back to ATL after visiting Panama City because it's the only Starbucks on the way. Today's visit was our worst yet. Our iced coffees taste burnt and were undrinkable (that has literally never happened at any Starbucks I've been to before). I also ordered a blueberry oatmeal (my go to Starbucks breakfast) and it was room temperature and super wet. Gross! If we hadn't gotten it all to go I would have ask them to replace the coffees and oatmeal but being a few miles down the road already, it's too late. Just super disappointing. read more

Last time I went, I don't know what the customer in front of me was doing, but it was taking forever (10minutes+). Since it wasn't really the barista's problem, I let it slide, plus I wanted my coffee. However, it would have been nice if she acknowledged me waiting, and offered a "I'll be with you shortly" kinda thing. Luckily, there was one thinking human there, paying attention ,and he made my order ahead of time, so that once the customer ahead had finished deciding whatever she was deciding, all I needed to do was pay. They do have free wifi and some comfy spots to sit and get some work done. Outside seating is nice, although not that comfy. read more

This location is crazy busy. I'm not a huge fan of that. It definitely makes sense to mobile order here unless you get lucky or just want to stand in line for 10 minutes. Because they're so busy it's not ideal if they mess up your drink because it takes forever to get it and then forever to fix it. I spent 30 minutes here one morning because of this. This is the place which kept me out of my hotel room during my two weeks working in PC. The staff is nice, both morning and night, and it's a great place to wind down the night and work on your laptop. Mixed crowd and a decent location on the corner of two very busy roads. Love the people. This is an everyday stop for me. Sometimes the wait is a few minutes but I'm never stuck there for long. I go between 6am and 9am usually and never have to wait in line for very long. I never have to tell them what I want anymore and usually I have a big smiley face on my cup when I leave. I'm a big fan of Starbucks, but I went in there the other night, there was two people ahead of me at the counter and I had to stand there for about 20 minutes to get a simple cappuccino. It was made excellent, but there was no apology or explanation made for why it took so long to make my drink or why they made the person behind me's drink before mine was ready. In my experience whenever something like that happens at Starbucks they at least offer an apology, and usually a free drink. I'll go here again, but hope they do better next time. read more

I went around about 1 today to get a frappuccino. I've been wanting one for days, so I finally gave in. I asked for it to be made with soy. The woman taking my order and I talked about how lactose gives us fits, but the person making my drink either didn't read the order or didn't care. About an hour after I started drinking it I could tell it was made with milk. My stomach has been very uncomfortable all afternoon. I have not had this problem before and I'm hoping that this was a 1-time thing, but it will be a long while before I'm brave enough to try again. read more

I think Starbucks coffee is way overrated and their various sugar and cream laden coffee-based concoctions are way expensive.. 3 years ago I visited a coffee bean/cherry processing facility in El Salvador which is a provider for Starbucks and was interested to learn that Starbucks had the lowest standards of their major export market customers: the Japanese coffee companies demanded perfection (virtually no defective beans), the major Italian coffee company Illy Cafe demanded a fairly low defect rate amongst the beans, and Starbucks accepted a much, much higher rate of defective beans.. This processing facility actually had women on staff who watched a conveyor belt of coffee beans go by and would manually pick out the defective ones, choosing how many defects to accept based on who the customer was .. the pastries are mediocre and i assume are distributed nationwide from a factory in some faroff state.. that being said, this location gets an extra star (beyond the 2 I would generally think a Starbucks is worth) because the staff are quite friendly and it is one of the only places in the Panama City area where one can hang out in the evening and talk with friends or study or work on your laptop or whatever that is not a bar... the outdoor seating is kind of nice, albeit it is at a major intersection so the view is only of parking lots and cars and it is quite noisy and you are breathing exhaust.. but still seems to be a popular hang out spot, perhaps because there are few options in this rather dull, uninteresting town. read more
