Ive always had issues with this Starbucks but this is the last straw, I ordered a matcha drink yesterday and it came out gross with no flavor Today I decided maybe it was just a bad day but yet again I ordered a Banana Bread Matcha (my favorite) When I received the drink I realized they just gave me not just a regular matcha drink, but the same disgusting matcha drink from yesterday. This service is amazing!! I ordered an iced venti white chocolate mocha with vanilla cold foam for my free birthday drink, I went to pick it up and they said they dont have an order from me, checked my app, and I put my order in at memorial, 30 min away from where I was. they were so understanding about it, and they made me my drink, tasted amazing (no extra charge). Desperately looking for a coffee for my road trip I decided to give this location one more shot & pulled into the drive-thru. It was like 9 cars deep & of course I had to get behind "oilfield trash" who couldn't get his order right. After 20mins in line during the 5 O'clock traffic rush I didn't need a coffee anymore I needed a vodka on the rocks. Never got a coffee. I've never written a bad review for a Starbucks. But I'm in this city for three weeks and the gall of Carla having an attitude when she constantly made my drink wrong twice baffles me. If it wasn't for Alex who saw the entire ordeal I would've called the police. I don't understand attitudes at public places. I was literally looking at Carla make the drink incorrect. So I stated nicely, can you place this in there instead of that? She dumped the drink out with an attitude and started it over. Cool. But then she added milk which I'm lactose intolerant and told the lady taking my order NO MILK. SO I WAITED PATIENTLY FOR HER TO COMPLETE MY DRINK BEFORE I SAID ANYTHING. When Carla brought the drink to me, she slid it to me and that's when I said "My drink says no milk." She gives more attitude and then I say, "It's interesting you have an attitude with me and yet to simply apologize that my drink is wrong." But it goes to show the morale of people. Let me just preface, I've been getting the same drink from Starbucks for the last decade. I've lived in 3 different states in that time. For some reason, this location can not make an iced caramel macchiato (upside with an extra shot of espresso, no matter the size) without messing it up. I've called several times, gave them the opportunity to remake it. They make it the exact same way. I understand also when somebody complains that they don't like a drink that you take it personally, but becoming defensive and not fixing the issue is a problem. It may just be the machine, I honestly do not know. The whole reason I pay for another shot or espresso, is because the way the recipe calls for it, that's not enough espresso flavor AND color for me. I called customer service several times and finally asked to speak to the district manager because I don't know if something is wrong with their machines or the barista's just do not know how to make this drink. The district manager informed me that the newer machines don't need to be calibrated much, so I'm assuming it's just a user error at this point? I know that service workers are tired because of the pandemic, I get that 100%. I appreciate all of you that have come in day in, day out since the pandemic started! But if you really just don't care to make the drink correctly, just say that so I don't waste my time and money. Today after I went (I gave it several days since I had spoken to the district manager to give them a chance to fix the machine or whatever the issue was) the drink was still gross. I wound up just ordering a completely different drink. So if you like strong coffee/espresso drinks, avoid this Starbucks. I included a picture of the drink, but it's not in the best lighting. I also have pictures of other drinks from this Starbucks looking exactly the same (color wise) and then I have pictures of the same drink made at other Starbucks and it is way darker in color. Two people are working on drinks, if that's what you want to call it, at a lackadaisical pace. They are chit chatting and laughing with each other like there aren't 5 people waiting for their drinks in addition to the three car or more drive thru. This Starbucks isn't bad, but the line is always busy. It's not the best location: the parking lot is small and the drive through is in the back alley. I've only come here in the mornings before work. It's the only SB between Yukon and downtown on I40. The drive through is always hella long. I've tried a few times to go inside to speed up the process, but it doesn't seem to help much. When they are busy, they are busy. The coffee is standard SB's and the service is never bad.
