I smiled and said I made an online order. As if to say I'm good thank you, he responds. Oh. Well that's going to be awhile because there's a line. (I look around- there's one man in the corner sitting) and just say ok. Thanks I see the girl making the drink. Pineapple lemonade. Was delicious! I added a cold cup to my order on the app. I see it on the counter. This man comes back out with a piece of paper and starts looking on the bottom of cups. I picked up the cup I purchased and walked it to him and said I think this is the cup you're looking for. He said oh ok. Well let me Check to see that you're allowed to purchase it and it wasn't put aside for someone. What? I just said ok and walked away. This place is ridiculous. He comes back out and places the same cup into a bag and hands it to me. I don't know who needs to hear this. But the young man that was working the register today and the last time I was there was rude both times for no apparent reason. He should probably not be customer facing. I wish I knew his name. Inquired multiple times as to why the drink was taking so long and received snarky responses from a number of employees, including the person who appeared to be the manager. Two of us placed a mobile order to pick up at the drive thru on 123rd St, Ocean City, Md. We parked and walked in to the pick up counter. Was able to get someone's attention and explained our situation. She walked away and came back with one of the orders. We could see the only hot order up on the counter but she went on to something else. We were able to get a gentlemen's attention and asked if he could get the drink on the counter. In the time that it took him to tell us to go up to the cashier, wait in line, and have her get it, he could have taken ten steps to retrieve it. Definitely an attitude problem in this store. No reason for this. It was not that busy. Don't know when or if I'll return to this location. I have never experienced service like this before in any other Starbucks location. read more

I was in the area checking out the local eateries and was disappointed to see it was still under construction two weeks ago, but now that it's open, it doesn't disappoint! Bus stop is right outside!!! Located at the Uptown Center at 123rd and Coastal Hwy. Lovin' me some Starbucks today!! C'mon by! They're open until 1 Went back to this store September 8,9,10. I go everyday, twice a day when I am in town. Service took a steep nose dive one day. I pre ordered a drink with no foam. It had foam. Easy mistake, no problem. They said they would remake it. A few minutes later a guy dressed in all black came out and gave me the same drink half full of foam. At $5 a cup, I don't want a cup half filled with foam! I had to get out of my car, wait in line, and order again. A Barista remade it and gave me a comp's drink card for later, which I appreciated. So I had to knock my previous review down by one star. I am a YOUGE Starbucks fan, but there is definitely a barista or two at this location that just don't value customer service or attention to detail, which is sad and unfortunate for such a great brand. read more

They make such great drinks at this location and the staff is always really nice! I gave 3 stars only because the employee taking orders for the drive thru tried to tell me that the drink Pumpkin Spice Creme doesn't exist and that there's only pumpkin spice cold brew or pumpkin spice latte. So, I then said nvm and ordered a London Fog. I then got my drink from the window person and the lady who took my order came over and still tried to tell me that I meant pumpkin spice latte. So, I showed her the Pumpkin Spice Creme drink on the app and she said "Ohhh". Not sure what the employee's name is, but maybe let things go or brush up on the seasonal menu:) read more

This was the second year this Starbucks was open during our yearly trip to OC. We've always had out of The park experiences here. The staff is always super friendly and they always make my normal drink (Venti cold brew) perfectly. This is by far the worst Starbucks I have ever been to and sadly it's the closest to my house and I'm local. I used to live in a large suburban city and those Starbucks were packed daily and they had it down to a science. This one can't figure out up from down if more than 2 people order at time. I guess it's a management issue because they seem to have help at least but it's just so awful no matter what time of year. I don't think they can use the excuse that they get busy in the summer because again or can't find help, there are way busier Starbucks everywhere that are much more successful. If you want a drink you better order at least 30 mins ahead and they probably will be out of something very basic like syrups or cups. They are ALWAYS out and it's again it's a store issue but other Starbucks in the area don't have the same issue. The service is always so rude too, I placed a mobile order here and they argued with me that I didn't even though I clearly showed it to them on the app where it went through. Don't bother, if you're expecting to eat they are sold out of most of their stock early, also half their drinks on the menu are sold out... We ordered on the mobile app with a prep time of 4-10 minutes. 45 minutes later we still didn't get our drinks and the manager gave us a random persons coffee who didn't pick up their order. Now I'm out $12 and apparently they aren't "responsible" for anyone taking someone else's order and they "don't do" refunds. HORRIBLE customer service. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE UPDATE: I emailed corporate about our horrible experience and they were very sympathetic and refunded my money and then some! My daughter has food allergies and wanted a refresher drink. None of the ingredients contain anything she is allergic to. We ordered the drink and a woman came up behind the cashier and said we can't guarantee anything. I responded and said I know-I would just like you to wash the cup you're using. The drink was made and then the woman who made the drink proceeded to tell me she "rinsed" the cup but didn't change any scoops and there are a ton of items she is allergic to back where she is working. She continued to tell me how many allergens there are as I walked out the door. If every other Starbucks can accommodate making a drink for a customer with food allergies-you can too. They just didn't want to take the time to do it. Shame on you. It's 2022 get it together! Also-mobile orders should NEVER come before a customer standing in front of you. When I got there, there were. 3 people ahead of me and I had to wait 20 minutes. This Starbucks is poorly managed. The only nice person we came into contact with was the cashier who even offered to make the drink for my daughter. Then the other woman-I'm assuming they manager came in behind her telling her how there are no guarantees and she will tell the worker to rinse the cup (not even wash it). This is my absolute fav Starbucks!! The order is always made perfectly, the staff are friendly, they know you by your voice when your a regular and the customer service is top notch. I have witnessed mounty Police in line on their horses in the drive thru getting coffee, I have participated in the 'pay for the person behind you' (I was the 15th person in a row to do it), I can always count on finding my Starbucks merchandise there and am always greeted so nicely when I drive up to pick up my mobile order. Barista Kevin introduced me to the Starbucks app years ago. He knows all the products well and made some nice suggestions on new drinks. He is just so helpful. We got up to the drive thru after waiting 15 minutes and the girl wouldn't pull our ticket to make the order, even though we were there at our ticket time. They refused to take a new order or start on ours, even though it was due to be done. We got up to the window and at first they said we could wait there a minute, but then someone else came over to say we couldn't. My husband and our friends stopped after dinner tonight and literally watched them lock the door as we were hurrying across the parking lot. We weren't the only ones either. This location is closest to our friends' hotel and was out of breakfast at 8:40 this morning. We were headed to 16th Street for the air show, the Starbucks there was super busy but well-prepared and still had everything at 11 a.m.!
