Double Chocolate Brownie: I'm the endangered American that can rarely be spotted in a Starbucks. Nothing against them, I just tend to think it's a little over-priced and I prefer to brew my own cup of joe. Starbucks gift cards tend to be popular rewards at my place of work though, so I'm guilty of collecting them to use on bakery items. Their Double Chocolate Brownie is described as rich and containing generous amounts of semi-sweet chocolate chunks. Texturally I found the brownie to be more fudgy than cakey, which is a plus in my book. The chocolate chunks are abundant, but they're a little too dark/bitter for my preference (not bad though). Even though I prefer milk chocolate chunks, I do love the contrasting texture that the crisp chunks add to the soft and chewy brownie body. That brownie body is also satisfyingly thick and as described, mouthwateringly rich. This product is impressive for a non-homemade brownie. My only complaints are it doesn't come with frosting (I added my own at home) and it costs $4. If I can make a batch of eight brownies myself for less money than one of these and mine taste better, then why get one from Starbucks? Stopped for a quick coffee break here. I really liked the big, open space and comfy chairs. It had an overall sense of calmness. The baristas were very nice and were continuously busy either preparing drinks or cleaning. It was very clean, and quiet too which was a nice change of pace as I need to escape all the noise sometimes. I ordered, for the first time ever, the most sought after Starbucks beverage of all time.... the PSL. That's pumpkin spice latte for those of you who aren't familiar with the acronym associated with the chill in the air, color-changing leaves, sweaters, scarves, leggings, and Ugg boots. I did not want to like it. I really didn't. But it was pretty good. Okay..... It was delicious! Maybe the barista added some extra love since it was my first PSL, but I honestly enjoyed it very much while sitting in a comfy chair in the corner scrolling through my Facebook feed. *sigh* that was a great moment. I stopped in to grab a coffee and do some work between meetings and was not impressed with the ambiance or cleanliness. First they had music from Disney movies blarring from the speakers which is not ideal for doing any sort of work. Music from Disney movies....really? Is Starbucks now catering to the likes of young children? And the floor was very dirty across the entire restaurant with food, wrappers, etc. There was one other person there so it's not like it was packed with people. Pretty new to the area and needed to find a good Starbucks to work at from time to time. I ventured from Kenosha and found this one. Lots of open space and tables so I was able to find a table right away to work at. The baristas are very friendly and attentive. I ordered my latte and got a Bacon Gouda sandwich (my favorite) - I'll be here thought out the day so I'm thankful I found this perfect spot to work at. Store is very clean, bathrooms equally as clean. Tables were wiped down and the coffee bar was neatly stocked. Plenty of outlets for laptops and phones to charge. When I questioned the barista, she said it looked fine to her. I've ordered this drink multiple times and normally they deliver. Fun people that genuinely want to provide a quality experience. It's super close to I94 so that's super convenient. What is a trip anywhere without a stop at a Starbucks?! This Starbucks offers a drive thru for the patrons. In my personal opinion, I think this overworked the employees because while the barista was making my drink, he was also taking a drive thru order. The multi-tasking led to my drink being incorrectly made. But when I brought the mistake to someone's attention, they were very apologetic and corrected the problem immediately. They even let me keep the drink that was not what I had ordered (I ordered a white mocha and they gave me a regular mocha). The store is spacious with lots of seating and clean bathrooms. I was drinking specialty coffees long before it became popular and trendy! Honestly, I cut back on my caffeine intake, coffee specifically, years before Starbucks even opened. Because of this, I rarely patronize any of the chain coffee places. It's been about 10 years, maybe longer, since I've entered one of these shops and it didn't fail to disappoint! It was a slow afternoon and only two people were on the shift. They were amiable and greeted us quickly upon our entrance. The store was immaculate and items were pleasantly displayed. Since it wasn't very busy we joked with the workers as we perused the menu-board. Here's the problem... they offer no selection of decaffeinated coffee products or healthful drinks (ie: smoothies, etc.). I have diabetes and, of course, try to watch what I put into my body. I ended up settling on a very sweet, cream based strawberry "shake" for lack of another definition. The pastries looked incredible but there were no options for me. The menu is very unclear about prices. There was only one number on the board and I don't know what size that was for. It seemed as if they assumed everybody was familiar with Starbucks... not true! So, I guess, Starbucks is great for some... but not everybody!! read more

I frequent this location often a it is on my way to work and has a drive thru. My Venti iced latte has been made incorrectly (with a shot of vanilla) on more than one occasion not to mention the service is incredibly slow. No attempt to rectify when I brought it to there attention, either. The store was completely out of venti cups one day and again they offered nothing for my inconvenience, however, didn't think twice to charge me for two grandes.
