I don't normally get Starbucks because its pricey but I actually enjoyed my visit here, especially when I tried the grand Chestnut praline latte. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. The latte itself was perfect not too sweet not too creamy just right. I asked for only two pumps of the chestnut praline syrup, which is perfect in my opinion and made latte itself was very enjoyable. Since I rarely go to Starbucks, I didn't know what to get, but the person at the drive-thru was very helpful and helping me choose something and eventually recommended me that drink which I chose and was satisfied with for sure. Again, I don't normally go to Starbucks, but if I do, I'll definitely visit this location if I do have a want for some nice lattes. read more

Started to order via app, ironically after leaving Planet Fitness; decided I wanted to finalize in store to firm up sugar details. 0 issues, $7 drink (extra shot) for FREE! I went inside to pickup and waited what felt like an above average amount of time considering no one else was waiting. But hey, FREE! Drink was made correctly, just how my wife likes it: venti iced caramel macchiato with extra espresso shot, nonfat milk and light whipped cream. Location! That's what makes this Starbucks so great! It's conveniently located right outside Little Creek base. You exit the base, cross the street and it's there. I pull up in the morning, get in line in their drive-thru, get my grande Nitro Cold Brew w/ a splash of Sweet Cream, drive out on to E. Little Creek Road, and pass the intersection and right on to base. I've been frequenting here the last 2-3 months, and the staff haven't messed up an order yet! read more

They are always super friendly at this location. However I do not like the design of the drive-through. To me it appears that the driveway was designed with the idea of people not leaving the line. Sometimes when the line is very long I must admit I do tend to change my mind and leave. Mainly because I'm on a time crunch and think I can get through it very quickly. Yeah the shepherd is pretty extra and sounds like her leg is being amputated when we pull up...until the convented pup cup comes through the window then...silence. Sometimes it's hit and miss with the friendliness but its noteably improving with new, eager staff. It was pretty rough since the workers seemed really unhappy about 8mos ago, likely due to extremely short staffing. This location is by the base and not for the faint of heart when it comes to being a barista. Muy muy busy and the drive thru angers people when they realize they can't get out of the line if it takes too long. Be patient or plan to go inside if you're not so much that type However, definitely improving a lot and back on its way to being a quicker place with happier workers. read more

Staff never fails to make you feel like a non-regular by correcting your order to conform to the approved starbucks lingo. Recommend going somewhere else if you are planning on sitting with a friend or two to socialize.... these venues have been overrun by rude patrons, the internet hogger, "world wise" kids blogging on their i-somethings about how harsh America is, and the snobbish spouses killing time between palates and picking up the kid at pre-school. Finding a table will be challenging and your conversation will likely be disjointed, disturbed by gen whatevers (Called them beatniks in the 60's) loudly trying to show how much they know. Stopped in while passing through VA. Cashier was fine, although he took my wife's yogurt off the counter where I placed it to pay for it. My breakfast sandwich had a few cold spots in it. I ate it because it's a good sandwich and I was in a hurry. But, the barista. I ordered a triple machismo with oatmilk. Because of an allergy, I always watch them make my drink. She made it with almond milk, leaving about half ! Shot (of the 3 I ordered) of espresso in the %lass shot glass. Then called my name. I politely asked if this was oatmilk. She said it was almond (the label on the cup said oatmilk), so I said she'd need to take it back and redo it. She snapped at me. "I can't take it back!" So I repeated she would need to remake it. She didn't a sweet, but slammed stuff around, remaking the drink, again shorting the espresso because (it looked like to me) she put too much oatmilk in the cup and didn't have room). Honestly, I come here all of the time and have been for years. It's on my way to work and I stop almost every morning. I previously wrote a review about the terrible breakfast sandwiches being the only issue. I went this morning and ordered a nitro cold brew. The girl proceeded to tell me she didn't have a button for that and asked me if I wanted something else. I told her no. She then said "Well you're literally going to have to pay an extra dollar then" and I said ok... Then she said "Like, you're going to have to pay more". I said OK that's fine! Not understanding why, when I got to the window I asked her what she meant. She said they upgraded their system and don't have a button for a nitro cold brew. I then said well it's on your menu, can't you override the price for whatever you charged me for and charge me the accurate price for a nitro. And she said "No, I can't" So a drink that I usually pay about $5.00 for cost me almost $8.00. I will NOT come back to this Starbucks unfortunately. That is seriously ridiculous. I am still confused as to why she couldn't charge me what the actual drink cost. It's literally on the menu, how is it the customers fault there is no "Button". Not to mention the girl was completely rude about it all. Save your money and go to a different Starbucks that have their s**t together! And the irony on the Yelp page "About this Business" This is their statement: "We make sure everything we do is through the lens of humanity - from our commitment to the highest quality coffee in the world, to the way we engage with our customers and communities to do business responsibly." I like the fact that Starbucks actually grew a pair and opened a location in/near OV. I'm not a frequent visitor to Starbucks but at least there's one less than 10 minutes away. I'm not a coffee drinker but I like tea, and their Teavana iced tea is good, albeit overpriced. But I guess they need to pay the wifi bill somehow, so I see it as a fair trade. Their staff is friendly here and they are helpful. Overall I have no problems with this location because whenever I visit a coffee shop (which is not often) I generally like to be left alone so I can get some work done (that's actually the only reason why I roll out to a coffee shop in the first place). Ive Always loved this location and usually get amazingly kind and fast service from the staff, but today was rough. I was hoping to buy the reusable cup to put my iced coffee in, and I asked the barista how much it cost. She said, "I don't know" I asked if she might look it up for me, please, and she couldn't find it on the register. I said "maybe one of the other baristas knows?" Dead silence and a death stare. Totally fine, I understand technical difficulties and frustrations. I then made the mistake of forgetting to say "no classic" as I didn't want sweetener, so when I took a sip of the iced coffee and realized it had the classic syrup in it, I asked the lady who handed it to me, "hey I messed up and forgot to say no classic, I'm happy to pay for another one, would you mind making me one?" She didn't even look at me, so I didn't know if she had heard me or not, just quickly pushed a coffee to her right on the counter. When I hesitated, she looked straight at me super annoyed and barked "There it is" and then turned back around immediately as I tried to say thank you (though I'll admit I was slow and really confused about what I'd done to make her so angry). I know yesterday was really heavy for a lot of people, so maybe the staff are just having a really off day. They were nice in that they didn't all me to pay for the unsweetened coffee, but it was an incredibly uncomfortable experience. read more

This store lost my families service for forever solely due to the fact that the woman with the buttons on her hat and the woman with the large black bun on her head, corn roles and Michael kors mask didn't even have the decency to acknowledge me while I stood at the cash register for 10min waiting for a simple coffee. I love his location-I am disappointed they closed the Shore Dr. One to move to this place-they should have kept both because the patio was fantastic at the Shore Dr. Location but Que Sera! The barista's are EXTREMELY friendly here and the lobby is actually roomy. I love the lounge chairs and there are plenty of tables if you need to meet with someone or want to come here for a study sesh. (I will probably come here before school one night) I definitely can't complain that it is right off base now and I can just hit it up on the way to work or after. Also-being right by my favorite on base gym and Planet Fitness is convenient for postwar loud snacks. When she asked to take our order she asked if we were ready to which we said yes and her response, in a rude agitated tone, was "ok, well then what's up". My husband placed his order no problem but when I place my order the response I got back was "no can do man, I don't have that", not oh I'm sorry or anything polite like that, just no I can't do that. She offered to put a lot of just the topping on but that was not what I wanted. When I followed up to say that I was good and just didn't want anything my husband decided he was ok and wasn't gonna get anything either, after that Rooney exclaimed "wow ok". There is a degree of professionalism I expect in any place of business and I do support that workers in retail and restaurants do have a lot going on but they also need to show a little bit of respect to customers if they expect to get respect in return. read more

They're kind of slow here and the employees are typically rude and short. They have a high employee turnover rate, rarely give napkins, and don't give bags on large orders unless you ask for it. I give it three stars because they typically get my order correct. Most Starbucks I go to have extremely friendly employees, not this one. read more

My concern is not with wait times. Unfortunately, this Starbucks is not consistent with the standards of other area Starbucks. Example: When I go to all other Starbucks they have the new "cane sugar" sweetener. At Wards Corner they tell me they have it, but the launch of products that use it has been pushed back. When making drinks that have topping two associates in general very seldom use the toppings at all. Cascara latte and Caramel Macchiato comes to mind. Huge fan of Starbucks all over the country, but get your drinks go from this location as quickly as you can and leave -- after a very pleasant young lady instantly refilled the half and half, the more senior woman pouring my coffee was downright rude and made me feel very unwelcome when I asked her about the price of a beverage... Like I was trying to cheat them out of a cup with my Starbucks branded travel mug. And remember, this is it 7:30 PM with an empty café. Sheesh.
