Pretty much your run-of-the-mill, Starbucks location, fairly small and size with only a couple of tables to sit in the corner. It wasn't too busy at 5 o'clock on a Wednesday and they worked on my order right away. I was pleased that iced Americano was correctly made with ice first most Starbucks locations pour hot espresso in plastic first and then add ice. Glad I didn't need to tell the barista. read more

During my long run today I made a quick pit stop on the Starbucks to grab a few napkins and to ask if the barista would fill my water bottle. He was nice enough to fill it and even asked if I needed any ice. That was cool. Its a smaller location with just a few seats and no bathroom. read more

After a few mins, they called my name and I was outta there! This location isn't very large, so not a lot of seating. It was actually fairly crowded at that time of day, so I kinda had to find a place to stand by the mobile orders. Otherwise, everything was as expected from a Starbucks. Coffee is usually good but the staffs attitude can vary mostly not so good. Barista on some days are super cool the other days they have major attitude and look like they hate their jobs. I'm not a big Starbucks drinker, and especially when I'm visiting New York I try to give my business to independent coffee shops. But this Starbucks location came through for me in a clutch moment. I was super hungover and needed a big coffee at around 7pm. All the local shops were closed, so I fired up my app and ordered a coffee so I could grab it on the way to dinner. The app ordering apparently wasn't working, but without much fuss the girl working made the coffee I ordered and didn't even ask to see my screen to prove I ordered and paid for it. This is my go-to Starbucks place to my work and it is conveniently located close to the subway station. It is definitely a go-to place for a lot of people. I am very understanding if my order via app doesn't get done right away especially in the mornings. Great Bux for many reasons. But know this is a great to go Bux, not a suitable working from "home" Bux. - Has interior perimeter seating, it's the best seating for one. Not good for groups. Starbucks has finally opened in this former location of The Bean and I was curious to see what they did with the place. It's not even listed as a location yet on their website or iPhone app. They renovated the entire space and used most of it for service or storage with not a lot of seating. The stairwell to the basement doesn't leave room for longer lines to form so it'll be interesting to see how the morning rush goes. The staff seemed very nice so will give an extra star for service and hope it remains past opening week. A lot of neighborhood residents will stay loyal to local coffee shops, but there's no denying that this Starbucks provides convenience and will get a lot of business. read more

Friendly staff made my iced tea quickly and with a smile, but the space in there is teeny tiny! I had an hour to kill before meeting a friend for dinner in Alphabet City, but it was still a little too chilly to sit on the benches outside. (If it had been 10 degrees warmer, I would have been so content to!) The outlets along the indoor bench we're all funky and literally could not hold my phone's plug. Someone needs to get in there with a screwdriver and fix 'em! I'd come back if I was in the area, but only as a to-go customer. It's not a place I'd want to set up camp. read more

This is my local Starbucks and I've been coming here religiously for years except for the past year due to it's customer service. I popped in a couple times recently again since I've been using the mobile order thinking I'll be able to avoid the rude baristas and I've still experienced the worst customer service ever! The baristas here are nasty and moody! Any interaction with the staff here just kills my vibe. Don't kill my vibe when all I want is just coffee! Im paying for coffee and coffee only, not coffee with an attitude on the side. I am appalled by the people who are rating this place 5 stars in regards to their customer service! Is this a joke? Very nice decor inside with a laid back feel, but if you have problems with small spaces this place is really not big at all. Wish it was bigger cause it seems like a good place to relax and get your caffeine on. Had my usual Grande Iced Mocha Latte, staff was friendly and service was prompt. I tend to frequent different bookstores and coffee shops to get my freelance work done. This one was cozy enough - not too much foot traffic. Although, I will note that seating was very limited and there was a pair of high school students who were kind of loud during the time I was there. Can't blame the location for that. The staff was friendly and helpful. They even refilled my tea cup with some hot water on the way out. this is my guilty pleasure and I'm almost ashamed to admit how much I love this place. For me its a matter of convince really because I live two blocks away, they have wifi, and always have a chair available. It's a chain I know I know and everyone hates on giving money to "the man" and if I lived closer to Bcup cafe ( i LOVE that place, food is fantastic, wifi and great tunes) I would probably go there instead but compared to the bean (a few blocks away and my other closest coffee shop) which is perpetually filled to capacity this place is the only sensible choice. I was told by a friend that Starbucks gives you a free coffee on your birthday...so, I made my way to the local Starbucks and gave them my ID. They said I needed to download the app so, I did. After plugging in my birthday on the app and scanning my new rewards barcode, the barista, told me it wasn't working. I was very friendly and simply said, well...what should I do? He said he would ask the manager and the manager said they could not give me a free coffee on my bday because it is their policy to scan the app(that wasn't working correctly). This was after they saw it actually was my bday. This may sound like a small thing however, this is not a good way to run a business and that should be obvious to them. Wouldn't it have been much easier to simply say: hey, Happy Birthday, sorry the app is not working, here's your free coffee. Instead, they get a bad review and a loss of a customer at that location. read more

This is my local coffee house. The bean grinder has been broken for months. If you ask for French press (ground) beans you get drip, very fine. I've tried reporting the problem to management and employees. I've asked for different settings to try to get a thicker grind and it's always the same. I've tried using a different Starbucks for a few weeks. Please replace your bean grinder. read more
