For my birthday, I decided the only thing I wanted to do was get a free drink from Starbucks and go find a geocash at the park after. I asked if they do free birthday drinks or food and they said "we only do a free drink" I said that was fine and ordered my drink, she told me it would be 7$ and I asked if I could get it free for my birthday while trying to show her my id. (I am a person with autism so I was really just trying to show that it was my birthday and I was just stupidly excited for a free drink because that was all I wanted) and girl won't even look at my Id, she keeps repeating the total as I'm trying to show her it's my birthday. She calls someone else over and they look at the screen and say "that'll be 7$" I try to show her my Id and she also brushes me off. At this point I'm starting to cry because the tone is just really hostile and all I wanted was my drink so I pay in defeat and ask my partner to wait for my drink so I can go outside and stop crying. As I'm sitting outside in the cold I see one of them point at me while talking to the other 3 and all of them start laughing while staring. Was honestly humiliating, and by far the worst part of my birthday, it was a horrible experience. Also my partner confirmed that she was talking about me and said a couple things I don't even want to mention cuz it doesn't matter. I feel like no one took the time to understand or care, made me buy my birthday drink, and then laughed at the autistic girl sitting outside crying. I honestly cried typing this out just now 2 months after the fact because of how mean they were and how it ruined my morning. I didn't even feel like going out, just went home defeated. This was the first Starbucks location we encountered heading east from Jackson MS on a recent roadtrip morning. Frankly, it was glorious. Rolled in around 9:30am to a nice quiet store (one other customer I think?) They said the morning rush just ended. They were so nice. Our lattes were delicious. I don't expect a great experience from any Starbucks anymore so it was such a treat! Renee even sampled us an Oleato drink which we had long been curious about (nope, not for me, thanks, although I could see where some might find it compelling.) On our drive home we went out of our way to hit up this same Starbucks. We were not disappointed. This time we rolled in through the drive-through, where we encountered Renee again who actually remembered us! Again, lattes delicious and well-crafted. Based on some of the other reviews of this location we may have got lucky but I am glad we did. read more

Wouldn't serve me even though had 5 minutes until closing. They refused even though they were still open.

It was to slow! They put 2 droops of strawberry acia in my drink and a litter of ice. They forgot my cookie and we had to ask them for it again. When I told the, my order they asked what's a strawberry açaí. Terrible place read more

Location always seems to be closed during posted operation times. They close early and usually leave a sign on door, however today there was no sign, all lights off at 5:00. They are supposed to be open until 8:00 pm. Don't know why they keep closing early or not open at all! Ridiculous read more

I see some negative reviews, but I can only speak on my experience. I came in around 0945 on 7/12. The store was clean and organized, as most of these franchises are. The staff greeted me while making eye contact. And when I say the staff, I mean just about all five people working there. I got a Venti Pike Place, so it's virtually impossible to screw that up. Run. I didn't know it was possible to have such a dysfunctional coffee shop, but mission success. I've visited 3 times since they've opened and so far am 0/3 on getting the correct drink, waiting less than half an hour and having a remotely competent ordering experience The employees are poorly trained and are unfamiliar with normal menu items, manage to swap hot vs iced on the regular, and the wait time for anything (even a drip coffee) is painful. An employee working the register did not know how to redeem stars for an order, and asked what a drip coffee was.... I swore I'd never come back after the second bad experience, and yet here I am with no other cars in the drive through waiting 30 minutes for a cold brew. Do not waste your time, go to the Starbucks downtown. Run away! read more

If you have to choose Starbucks in Meridian, do not choose this one. They are never on time, they are not friendly, and they are sold out of things half of the time. I just waited 10 minutes for a mobile order to be told to move around when they could've just told me they could not fulfill it. My family stopped into this Starbucks in the middle of a long road trip. the bathrooms were very clean and bright. The baristas were sooo happy! we stopped in at about 12:15pm on June 11, 2023. These baristas went far above and beyond to be personable and fun to talk with. Being a former Starbucks manager myself, I loved seeing this kind of energy in a store, knowing how much of a difference it makes to the customers. we truly loved it, and our drinks were delicious on top of that. 10 stars! read more

I was so excited that Meridian was finally getting a starbucks! I have now been to this one quite a few times and it's kind of hit and miss. Sometimes the service is fine, but more often than not it is very slow. Today I went through the drive through and there did not seem to be enough workers. I waited 25 minutes just for the woman at the window to be very rude. They are also usually out of many things. Like the last few times i've been they have been out of coconut milk. Overall, it's not that bad but I like the one downtown in the 3 foot building better! read more

Then after waiting for my order they tell me they dont even have the item I ordered instock, replaced it with a different option and it tasted stale. DO NOT WASTE your money here! they were out of most there supplies and swapped my order out 3 separate times. After the third time of her telling me we are out of it. I heard her through the speaker say "oh my God" getting frustrated. Then gave me the wrong order I handed back and corrected her. staff is not well trained or mannered.
