This Starbuck's used to be one of my favorite in Macomb County until this week. Today, I ordered my weekly three (3) Trenta Strawberry Açaí (light lemonade/extra base, no ice). Typically, the customer service rep at the window is very polite and kind and goes to great lengths to answer questions and to honor reasonable requests. As always, I requested a green sticker to cover the opened lid of each drink, so that the drink does not spill all over my car console. I am told today that Starbuck's can no longer cover the lid opening, that those coverings are for pick-up/Door Dash deliveries ONLY! Really? The customer service rep was extremely rude, then slammed the window closed in my face! I have never been treated this poorly before and will not be going back. The reason for refusing to secure lid opening with a small piece of sticky tape? Too expensive!!! A billion dollar corporation who is unable to pay for sticky tape! Starbuck's has become McDonald's with technocrats/shareholders creating both poor business practices as well as up charging for every custom drink request. Over it!!! read more

As a Starbucks addict, I go to many different locations. This location looks really new on the outside, and I have not been on the inside. There was a line, and it went relatively fast. When ordering my drinks, I usually have to repeat things more than once. For example, light ice and the amount if classic syrup I want. This guy nailed it. Asked if I wanted anything else, and told me my amount. I was impressed, but figured there would be a downside at the window. There wasn't. We got there and I told him I wanted to use a reward. Yay free drink (Trenta Today). He scanned my phone and asked if I needed a receipt while handing me the straws. Most places have to scan twice because they don't know how to charge it and take off the free drink. He managed to do it all quickly. He handed the drinks right after. Mine first. Trued it and it was amazing. Lightest ice ever, which is how I like it. He even waited for my boyfriend to try his and then said "All set?" And "Have a good day" when we said yes. Younger guy at the drive through window took 5 minutes to acknowledge I was at the window and didn't even care to apologize. Gave him my order and said he had to go make sure we had more in the back. Came back after 4 minutes and said hey repeat your order and then proceeded to give me an attitude and call me bro. Although my speed of service was slow, I was still happy with the service. In all fairness, there was only one person working because the others had called in sick from what she told me. I completely understood and could see why the speed of service was a bit slower than usual considering the employee there was doing everything (cashier and making the drinks). She was really kind and well composed even under the stressful conditions of working alone while it is busy. I usually order the Iced Caramel Macchiato with coconut milk. If you have been reading my reviews for awhile, you know my favorite hand crafted drink is actually Starbucks. This Starbucks is newer. It has a drive thru, a decent parking lot because it sits in a plaza and has plenty of space and seats inside with a lot of plug outlets. One of my favorite winter drinks is the hazelnut hot chocolate (get it! It's delicious!) The last few times when I ordered a tall it wasn't filled all the way and was loaded with two much whipped cream. Last night when I ordered a grande and the hot chocolate radio was 55% hot chocolate, 50 whipped cream. The cup felt very empty and light. So my next step is going to just say no whipped cream. This has happened with frappuccino and coffee too. Perhaps the baristas just can't judge how much to make. I really do like this Starbucks because the service is fast. I just hate paying for a drink and it not being fill. read more

I'm not really sure why I continue to go to this location. I know it's never going to be a 5 star experience. Today, for example, I stopped in around 11am to get an iced coffee and breakfast sandwich. I paid at the inside register with my Starbucks Gold card. I'll be honest. I was in yoga pants and a tee shirt with no makeup on. However, that was no reason for the baristas to stare at me and give me dirty looks. All I wanted was a quick pick me up before getting on with my day. My iced coffee came up quickly and I continued to wait for my breakfast sandwich to be done. 5 minutes go by. 10 minutes go by. Still, nothing. I thought maybe they forgot to add my sandwich to my order so I went back to my car to check my Starbucks app (which keeps track of how much money is on my Starbucks card) They definitely charged me for my breakfast sandwich. I went back inside and stood by the pick up counter again. I know baristas have a lot of orders to take care of and speaking to someone at the counter is a bit of a nuisance. I stood for a few minutes before the barista stared me in the eyes and said "What??" I then felt like I was a bother to them. All I wanted was the item I ordered. After discussing it with everyone else for a few minutes they realized they set my sandwich at the drive thru window. As if they didn't notice it sitting there for 15 minutes already. The baristas eventually made me a new sandwich, but not before throwing it on the counter for me to grab and making it feel like this was all my problem. Mistakes happen but that's no reason to make me feel like my business wasn't wanted. I'll continue to drive further down the road and stop in to the location at Hall and 94 next time. read more

Service/drinks are hit or miss but overall I love this staff. When Chris or Jamie are on drive through it's always a pleasant experience. A few others as well, but I'm not aware of their names yet. As most places, they've had their share of staff shortage. They do their best and depending on shift times, I usually have a pleasant experience. The only thing I wish for with any Starbucks is better consistency with the drinks. Especially when it's not a special custom order. If I order a shaken espresso without modification, I expect it to taste the same each time. Each size drink has specific measurements. If I wasn't short on time at home, I'd make my own as they're not hard recipes. There are times when The drinks are made to perfection and others when they're just awful. I'm not one with time to go back and have it remade. I probably should, but it's not worth having the same person remake it. Every time I have came to this location there is a guy named nooch however you spell it is extremely rude. When I say rude I mean RUDE. He always gets a attitude when you ask question or simply ask for a straw is too much. I have stopped coming to this location simply because of him. I highly don't recommend this location so many people I know deal with the same rudeness. He has closed the window on me as I talk& I find that beyond disrespectful. Ordered 2 drinks last week and they were melted even though I called and asked for them to wait to make it. This was unprofessional and I work in this type of business! Then I gave them another shot and there lobby's closed! I totally agree with doing what it takes to get thru the pandemic by making drive thru a priority! The speed of service has drastically decreased from 2018 to 2019.. I don't know if this is due to a change in management or what, but the quality and service of drinks have fell far below par. Everytime I go through the drive through I feel as though I am speaking to a partily deaf worker who never understands my order. My favorite drink is a Venti Iced coffee with cream and the classic pump sweetner, yet once I receive and try the drink the barrista seems to always fail to put sweetener in my drink. I am beyond upset with the performance of the workers here, especially the rude and inconsiderate worker "Giles".. This worker spilled a piping hot pour over on my sisters leg in her brand new BMW 328i.. No spill stopper was given and now she second degree burns on her upper thigh..Please, this is the most convenient starbucks due to the location near me, I go there all the time spending money there regularly I would like to see the quality of service, and drinks increase.. Beautiful new store, love that there's a drive through. Staff are, for the most part, friendly. More often than not they run out of very common ingredients for very basic and popular drinks. Have received spoiled soy milk in a drink before and when pointed out, I had to wait a very long time for employees to have a little meeting to investigate my complaint and then remake my drink. I then had to receive a small lecture about how I was wrong and the chunky, gross drink was not in fact spoiled, but that they went out of their way to make me a new one anyhow.... So annoying.
