I'd rather go to the Starbucks in the same plaza next to Chase. Usually, I love Target Starbucks locations. It's convenient to get a drink, and then shop around. Today, I came in because I had two cards. One was a gift with only $0.91 and another money back card with a little over $2. She kept scanning both and putting them in. She claimed that the black one had $0.91 only. We told her that it was the other one that did.
She then said the white card, a gift card, was not working. Told us that no one would come to help and that she would make the drink first then figure it out. She then said "look see it doesn't work" when suddenly it made a noise. She then said "oh it did weird," but then said it wouldn't let her use it.
My boyfriend said this was probably because she put the numbers on the white card already. She kept my black card that had over $2 and gave us the white. We were told we could use it another time maybe and that she didn't know why it wouldn't work. (Even though we heard it). She did apologize, but it was odd that the exact amount she claimed was on the black card is the actual amount we have left on the white. I'm assuming if we try to use this white card, there will be no money left on it. This means that she kept our card with money on it. I mean it's $2, which isn't much. I just wanted to get rid of the balance. Won't get Starbucks from here anymore.
The process took longer than it should as well. I'm hoping she messed up with the cards on accident. Also hoping it doesn't happen to anyone else. $2 is nothing compared to what we had on it before. It wasn't worth staying and waiting for someone to come when we were in a time crunch. read more
