Grande Dragonfruit Lemonade Refresher that was supposed to be a Venti with no ice.

Very disappointing. Everything was super overpriced to the point where a grilled cheese was over $10. Cashier was very rude and put in two of our orders wrong, only kind staff was there one barista.

This Starbucks was just bleh. We paid over 22 dollars on just two grande drinks. It was basic coffee we got. There are other smaller coffee shops throughout the city to get coffee from. Save your money and go there!!

Paid $21 for two coffees and they messed mine up. Got a venti and she put only one pump in it. WTH. Taste like crap. Didn't even give me a receipt or the points.

What a cute, touristy location! The line was long when we came in, but it gave us time to look at the fully stocked snacks and cups this place offers. We got Shannon as our cashier and she was awesome and very fast! This is the perfect walk-in coffee shop while making your way through this tourist destination.

I would recommend avoiding this Starbucks. The building is really cool and the inside is 3 levels, although only the first and second are open. The first level is jam packed and doesn't have an easy way to maneuver. We ordered one grade blonde (received Pike) and one Venti black iced tea. Our total bill was $12.65. I have never paid that much for two basic, very basic, drinks. The store wasn't able to scan by barcode app and instead had to manually type my Starbucks card into the machine. I feel like I was being scammed and overcharged. I would not recommend.

It's 7:13 am and this Starbucks in Mackinac City, MI is supposed to be open at 7 am. This is the only coffee shop in a 30 mile radius.

I have been in Mackinac City for the past two weeks for work, and the first four days I visited this Starbucks they did not give me the correct drink. It was so bad I had to modify how I made my order. I used to order "Grande Latte with Breve", now I say "Grande Latte with Half and half instead of milk. No other Milks." I have never had to specify this yo any other Starbucks in the nation, only this Starbucks. An employee didn't even specify my order on the cup and I asked if this was the correct drink. She insisted it was...It was not. I've been drinking this drink for eight years now. I know what the difference in taste is. I suspect that some employee added regular milk and then just a dash of crème as extra. This is a failure of management, because it means they're not training their own employees on how to make drinks properly. In fact that's who I have an issue with. I suspect store management (not shift management) is falling asleep at the wheel and delegates their job to employees down line. I have to leave for my job at 7 am, and am given a very small window of time in which to buy coffee. They were late about opening up one morning, but there was an employee in the store. But this morning is what caused me to write this review. It is currently 7:13 am, and the store is closed. I looked up every resource online to find out if the store opens later on Sunday. Every sign says it opens at 7 am. 15 people have come and gone waiting for the store to open up. If they are going to have modified hours they should certainly post those hours on their door. In regards to the store during COVID-19. While they are observing social distancing and mask wearing, they have not organized the store in a manner that is efficient and facilitates social distancing. Many people crowd the store and they have not set up a system that is organized and it seems employees are working over each other. The back part of the store looks gross and disorganized, which really suggests that management had not put an efficient system into place that helps streamline the employee performance as they work. Also management up charges for drinks because they can technically classify this as a seasonal Starbucks. Which is a load of crap, because they are the ONLY Starbucks store in town. The employees for the most part are friendly and nice, and try to do their job as quickly as possible.

Cute curb appeal!! Located right next to Mackinaw Crossing Shopping

$10.60 for a drink is unreasonable. The Starbucks corporate office needs to review this practice.

Covering half of the menu prices to charge more? Cups cost 50% more than other locations? Loud and busy. Slightly rude employees.

The baristas took the time to ask what we were looking for and helped us navigate the menu. The drinks were delicious, and we enjoyed them enough to stop by two days in a row while visiting Mackinaw City. On the first day, I ordered the Coconut Paradise. It was a little heavy on the ice, likely because it was made by a barista in training, but the flavor was well balanced. It was smooth, not too tart, and not overly sweet. The only downside was that the extra ice made it difficult to stir. We also tried the Bird's Eye Latte, which was sweet, flavorful, and very enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who prefers sweeter coffee drinks. On our second visit, I ordered the Maple Harvest Cold Brew. Since it uses real maple syrup, it took some effort to mix thoroughly, and I didn't notice the maple flavor until after stirring. We also tried the matcha, which wasn't sweet and had the rich, earthy green tea flavor that I love. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great drink in Mackinaw City!

Well lit with kitschy decor-a mix of colorful murals and teapots (teapots are for sale), and other items, like puzzles and cute boxes. Uneven floors add to its charm. Menus are cute newspapers, with "articles" about the place and area in case you're interested. Nice coffee options, like espresso, cappuccino, and lattes, though we elected to have just regular coffee. Served hot with free refills, and choice of half & half or flavored creamers on the table. I ordered the biscuits & gravy with eggs and hash browns, while my husband ordered the lobster Benedict. Food came out relatively quickly and we were both pretty happy with our orders. We ordered extra crispy hash browns and they were the only item that fell short, not being really extra crispy. But they were good enough considering how good the rest of the food was. Our sever came by several times to check on us and give us coffee warm ups. Really just a great experience overall. Sometimes tourist town restaurants miss the mark, but Java Joe's isn't one of those. We loved it and are looking forward to coming back!

We were greeted by friendly employees every step of the way. We had lunch, ordered pizzas, and they were delicious. They make their own meatballs.. so good.. We liked the menu and found it impressive, more of a foodie experience. The better restaurants often have a smaller menu and everything is fresh and tasty. We noticed that, it was not dozens of choices but a few, and quality products. Salads, appetizers, sandwiches. Anyway, we came back for breakfast lol... worth it! Ohhh they have wonderful coffee too...... We were here during the last week of July. The hostess at the front desk was polite, friendly and carefully explained how their system worked. She left the front and came with me to show exactly how their system worked bracelets worked and how you get charged per once of beer, wine and hard seltzer. It was pretty simple, but made complete sense after her demonstration. She answered a few questions and took her time with me, later I noticed her doing the same with other customers. That was a great way to begin my tasting and meal. I decided to try three 5 oz. beers to see what they had and what I liked best. I had an Amber Lager, a Doppelbock and the Lake Huron IPA. All were good, especially the IPA and Doppelbock. Some of the 5 oz. Pours only came to a couple bucks, the beers are individually priced. The Lake Huron IPA was hoppy, crisp and had a good finish (maybe between malty and biscuit). I ordered the Brisket Smoked Corn Street Tacos. They came about ten minutes after I ordered with the hostess (they have a scan menu at the table, but I was told orders can be placed through the counter as well). The tacos were absolutely amazing, the brisket flavor was sweet and smoky, the street corn and lime drizzle was a perfect addition. The order comes with three tacos, which is a good amount...but they were so delicious that I was tempted to put in another order, I resisted and tabbed out after finishing my beer. My bill came to $30 for the 3 (5 oz beer samples), 1 tall pour of IPA and the Smoked Brisket Tacos. I feel that price was very fair for the quality of the beer, food and service. I will definitely come back again and would 100% recommend to beer lovers.
