It was my first time in this location & it went pretty good. The staff was very polite and had lots of patience. I was on the phone before ordering so the barista/cashier didn't mind to wait until when I was ready to order. He listened when I said I wanted my caramel frap with crunch and more ice so my drink would come out thick and crunchy! I enjoyed it but I had to go back inside & ask for extra caramel because I barely tasted the frap! It was still very yummy and definitely a thirst quencher! I placed mobile order and when I reached the store, I had to wait almost 10 minutes to get my drink. The customers who ordered by the register after I stepped in the store even got their handcraft beverage before me. Eventually, I asked the staff to check on my order and the lady immediately called out my name correctly like she knows I'm waiting for my mobile order. Then she started to make my drink right away. That is strange to me and I wonder if they were holding my order on the side on purpose so they can prioritize with other orders. Then what is the purpose of mobile order?? Are you kidding me? Worst Starbucks ever. Entered on a Saturday at 11am. 20 people waiting for their order. I was 3rd online to order. While waiting on line no one left the store with their order. Little kid in front of me wants to know how much two chocolate chip cookies cost. Server asks if he wants them hot or not. He needs to know if he has enough money. She keeps asking about the oven. Finally I explain that he needs to know the cost of the cookies either hot or cold so he can pay. Why give the kid such a hard time? I finally realize no one's leaving with their order and the same 20 people are still standing around waiting. There is one person at the register and 3 making orders. And still 20 waiting. I left. What nonsense is this? Starbucks has gone downhill in service. Who are you hiring ? I'd give you zero stars if I could. So disappointed. read more

This location has some of the slowest, incompetent staff ever hired by any chain! Every time I've placed a mobile order I am still waiting around for it despite it being promised at a certain time. I've complained to their manager and have just been ignored. Also my cold brew will be ready but my food will take another 20 minutes. Sometimes i finish my drink waiting for my food! Ridiculous. I came here with my cousin after going to Queens Bully for some brunch. It is conveniently located on Queens Blvd and it is very spacious. I liked how they had a button for automatic doors because I had my stroller so it was so convenient. The staff was nice and my vanilla bean frap was so good. Only complaint was the wait was a little long but I think that's because one of the customers was being a little difficult. I would def return also there is no parking but this location! Although this Starbucks is close to me, I do not come here all that often as I am usually heading toward the city and this is going east of me. I love that this location is large and that they have outdoor seating. The baristas are always friendly and the drinks are made quickly. There is also a lot of seating. The space is really clean except for the bathrooms. They are always dirty with toilet paper all over the floor and ALWAYS smell of fresh urine as if the customer before me came in and pissed on the floor. I would have totally gave this location more stars if it wasn't for the bathroom being so nasty. read more

Not a huge fan of the Starbucks franchise, however I needed a local work space, and this spot served very well for this need. I purchased a regular brewed hot coffee - nothing really to report about. There is ample seating and an outdoor patio out front, (wish the weather was nice enough to enjoy this!). Pleasant staff. The music playlist was my favorite part of being here. They played Nina Simone's greatest hits before moving onto classic hits from the Jackson 5 and The Temptations. LOVE!! I was a little disappointed the rest room was out of order. It's Starbucks!!! The customer service is great. The staff is friendly, except for the gay guy. He is usually in a pissy mood. All the goods you buy there are worth it. The only bad thing there is the Political Correctness. You have a lot of people that aren't customers hanging out there and making a mess in the restroom and in the area that they are occupying. They don't clean up after themselves and leave a mess for the staff to take care of. This takes away space for the customers to sit and enjoy the things that they purchased there. You get a lot of crazies and homeless people hanging out there, which makes the customers feel uncomfortable and not at ease. You also have people coming in and begging. This makes it uncomfortable while you are trying to read and enjoy your coffee. read more

I thins this is a pretty good starbucks. It's always clean and pretty fast. The bigger than it looks because there's a lot more seating in the back. I'm usually able to find a spot for myself when I head over for a break in between work. While this place gets busy, it doesn't get as crazy as the Starbucks on Spring and Varick. I think because it's a bit hidden ;) not to mention that I think most my office goes to the other one. It might be slightly closer, but in my opinion this one is worth the walk. I like the order ahead feature because they seem to acknowledge it right away. I order when I'm close by and by the time I'm in there, it's done. Also the drinks taste good! I come here five days a week, at the same exact time, and use the mobile app to order the same exact drink (grande iced coffee with milk, light ice + 3 pumps classic) + a croissant. 8 out of 10 times, they either forget to put milk in my coffee, or neglect to fulfill either part (or all) of my order. I understand it gets very busy here in the mornings, but it does become a huge inconvenience when I arrive and my order is not there. One time, I waited 20 minutes for my mobile order, and when I inquired about the status of my drink, they said they couldn't make it because they ran out of cold brew (which was not indicated on the app when I placed the order). Late for work, I rushed out of there and didn't even get a refund. That was the last time I ordered cold brew from there. Unfortunately, this is the closest Starbucks to my office and I just love Starbucks way too much to stop coming here. I just wished the service was better. I do, however, respect the baristas here. They are usually apologetic when things go wrong. One of the baristas (I don't know her name, but she is very tall and works weekday mornings around 930am) came from behind the counter once, to my table, to bring me a drink that they neglected to fulfill. Hands down, worst Starbucks I've ever been to. I used to be a regular but last time was the last straw and I'm never going back. They get the usual work rush in the morning and handle it awfully. Whether you order on the Starbucks app or in person, they often mix up the sequence of orders so that your order somehow gets placed behind 20 people that ordered the same type of item after you, e.g. all iced coffees or all food items. Other times, one item type will just be inexplicably slow for everyone. E.g. all the hot espressos or all hot food items are just impossibly slow because the person working on them is going much slower than everyone else. I got so sick of waiting 30 minutes after they lost my order for the 10th time that I walked out without getting the coffee I paid for. read more

Ive gone here more then a few times to say that the drinks can be a hit-or-miss depending who's working that day. A great example is this weekend being excited to try the ever so delicious sounding "toasted graham latte"....(doesn't that sound seasonably yummy?) Welllll it wasn't, I got some kind of watered down chai tea with a drop of milk for $5. and it was missing all the quality's they have been advertising including the graham topping. don't the people behind the counter have a standard they follow for drink recipes? cuz people working here clearly are paying attention. Never, ever had a bad experience at Starbucks until this location in Kew Gardens. (1) Feels like I'm walking into someone else's home! The employees are ALWAYS having personal conversations about their lives and then look at US, the customers, as if we've just interrupted them by coming through the door. (2) They're socializing between each other inhibits their ability to provide half-way decent service. Not only did the barista not realize that she was serving customers that ordered after me, but she never bothered to ask why I was standing there or what I had ordered! I tried to be patient, but 3 people later I asked for a refund. And the response? "Ok...SORRY!" THIS is not what I expect when I walk into a Starbucks. Howard Schultz would be embarrased! (3) The milk is never filled - they're so busy with customers and talking to each other that they neglect the add-ins. (4) Slow service. In conclusion, this location has gone to the birds in the last 3 months and I expect it to continue to spiral down hill. Luckily, there's another coffeed shop on Austin St. by the KG LIRR station.
