Not feeling well, pop in for the "Medicine Ball" which is officially on the menu as Honey Citrus Mint Tea. I did specify the with the order taker and he got clarification from his trainer next to him, so I thought I was ordering the right drink. However, when I got the first cup, prepared by Jaguar, it was not the drink I was expecting or needed. I went to the counter to discuss and knew exactly what to do and offered to remake a new cup for me. She prepared the second cup with the exact combination of teas, lemonade and sweeteners. Citrus Mint Tea, steamed Lemonade, Peach Tranquility Tea and your preference - sugar or honey to sweeten it up. Oh and don't forget to ask for peppermint! This was attached to the hotel we stayed at so we stopped in. They are not like a standard Starbucks so are limited on what they have such as sweet cold foam is not offered at this location. However we ordered two Carmel macchiatos with extra Carmel drizzle. DELICIOUS! Even tho they didn't have sweet cold foam she did offer other alternatives to try to get us the drinks we wanted. I DO NOT recommend this Starbucks location. The pumpkin bread was stale ... it was sold past the discard date on the plastic wrapper. This occurred 2 weeks in a row. After first purchase, I notified the manager (older lady @ register) & happened again today 5/13/2025. read more

This lady was rude and wasn't welcoming at all. I didn't like the vibe at all. I had ordered a drink with sweet cold foam and my drink didn't come out with it it didn't come out how I ordered it so the lady charged me I didn't mind but it was on them she also kept calling me a different name after I already told her how to say my name so I give it a one star she was also rude to my family I had with me I don't like feeling uncomfortable and that's what I felt at this Starbucks! This location recently open and today was my first time checking it out. I was in the area and wanted to grab a Medicine Ball. It was very clean inside and out which is to be expected for a new location. Right in front of the establishment is a Street Car stop so you can easily get around the city. I was greeted as soon as I entered and my drink was made extremely quick. There weren't too busy and the decor inside was nice. Plenty of seating but it's not too big like other Starbucks locations. If you are reading this, you probably already know the greatness that Starbucks is (read-I MIGHT have an obsession). But, I'm going to tell you what makes this location different. First is the location. Not only can you drive and park (while parking could be a little difficult), but it is right on the street car line across from a stop, so it makes it very convenient. Located inside a hotel, so it is a large area if you need to go and do work or have a meeting. I was there before the sun came up and the employees were incredibly friendly, but not annoyingly so (I'm not a morning person...they were awesome). The inside space was kept clean and there were plenty of tables for me to sit and work. Surprisingly, for as large of space that it is, it seemed generally quiet for concentration as well. Worst Starbucks I've ever been too. I've given this location multiple opportunities and they fail every time. Either my drink is made wrong, an ingredient is out of stock, or they simply don't know how to make a menu item! I just waited in a 3 person line with 5 workers for 20mins! Once I reached the counter I waited 5 more mins while 2 people tried to figure out how to ring in salted caramel cream cold brew. One was telling the other to add vanilla syrup. In a salted caramel drink. No. At that point I knew my drink wouldn't even be right if they can't find the button, so I gave up and left. Save yourself time and frustration, trust me. Oh, the person in front of me also waited 20mins to find out they were out of one of their most basic items, a Frappuccino. They also left without a drink. I would give this Starbucks a zero rating if I could. I walked all the way from the Westin a 21 minute walk in 30 degree weather to get a Starbucks coffee. First they were out of Trenta cUps. Ok a lot of places have shortages right now no problem ordered the next size down. Then waited excitedly for my coffee. They called out a pumpkin cream cold brew. I looked on the counter. Looked like a latte was there. Waited then went up to investigate. It was a cold brew however there wasn't any cold brew foam on top. It was all throughout the coffee. Cold brew is best when the foam is made correctly. Asked the barista why it looked like that she said it must have sat there a while. What?! No way I told her I was sitting right over there. I stated cold brew should look like the picture posted on their walls. She had an attitude and said she would remake it. Wow! I am a gold card member and drink so much Starbucks I have never been treated in this manner. My motto make it the correct way the first time and don't give someone runny cold brew foam especially an avid cold brew drinker. Also no restrooms in this Starbucks. read more

if you're ordering here in the morning, there's a 50/50 chance you will be late to work. it's not even worth it anymore. you'd think that the only Starbucks in downtown kc would be more organized and staffed adequately...but unfortunately they are not. i had been feeling indifferent about this location, as i've been coming here for months and sometimes my order is ready, most times it's not (even after waiting 5-10 mins past the ready time). my two most recent visits put the nail in the coffin for me and i will not be back. last week, i placed an order online at 6:31, got there around 6:40. i noticed a drink that looked similar to mine, but it wasn't mine. it had a time stamp of 6:34. i was confused as to why my mobile order hadn't been made, but another person who ordered AFTER me was somehow before me? wouldn't their mobile order system show my order first? anyway, i waited for several minutes as the line grew bigger and bigger. still no drink. at this point it's 6:55 and i'm P*SSED. i had to be at work at 7am and had been waiting there for 15 mins for a drink i placed online a MINUTE after they opened?!! i walked up to the counter and politely asked for a refund. i explained my situation and the cashier glanced at me, and said "well...a refund is gonna take a minute" then walked away. i was literally shaking. thankfully the barista overhead and offered to make my drink. she apologized and was very sweet. but still...why was the cashier so rude and unwilling to help? i understand it was busy...but wtf?! i had honestly written them off after that. but my caffeine addiction was too strong to not give them the benefit of the doubt this morning. i did what i normally do and placed an order as soon as they opened. i was running behind this morning and didn't arrive until 6:50. i approached the back door (closest to the pick up counter) and the manager was hanging up some sign that said they're only taking mobile orders. i tried to open the door, but she just stood there, hung up the sign and walked away...i was confused and immediately annoyed bc 1. she could've opened the door or 2. she could've signaled for me to go up front (as i was trying to get her attention when we made eye contact). i went up to the front which had the same sign...but that door was locked too! when i pulled at the door, the two ladies behind the counter glanced at me then looked away as if i was a stray dog or something? the manager poked her head outside, asked if i had a mobile order, then let me in. i went to grab my stuff and noticed a new barista i haven't seen before who was actually MUGGING me up and down?! i decided to be polite and said "good morning!!!". nothing. no response. i grabbed my stuff, looked at the two ladies and said "thank you!!! have a great day!!!" nothing. no response. like WTF?!!!?!! what is with the attitude?! no one is forcing you to be here this morning. what kind of customer service is that to not respond to a paying customer when they're greeting you? i was already extremely thrown off by the lack of friendliness...but when i got to work, i sipped my drink and it was disgusting!!! and i know it wasn't my recipe bc i've ordered it plenty of times at different locations and never had any complaints. it was wayyy too much syrup/sugar, i can't even DRINK it. so now i'm sitting here with a venti coffee i can't stand to swallow and an attitude. i will never come back here, unless i notice new faces, better reviews or a change in management. completely unacceptable. read more
