The staff keeps everything moving while still being so welcoming. And the old bank safe is SUCH a fun touch! Every time we visit, the staff is incredibly kind, polite, and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. One of my favorite things about Pie Safe is the history behind the location. The building was originally a bank over 100 years ago, and the original safe is still right in the center of the space on display! I love how they incorporated that piece of history into the name "Pie Safe"--it gives the place so much character. Amazing desserts, wonderful people, and such a neat atmosphere. ‼ In honor of Labor Day, I thought I'd share a little leadership story (and a confession)…read more Exceptional leaders are hidden everywhere! It is no secret I have a really bad habit... Starbucks. But hear me out--coffee is cheaper than therapy, and SARA at the Forest City drive-thru is basically my life coach in a headset. When she's on the window, it doesn't matter if the line is wrapped around the building, halfway down the road, it moves like magic. Sara is always chipper, kind, and smiling. Honestly, I've seen less efficiency at corporate board meetings. This morning I told her: "I have to commend you on your drive-thru management skills." She shrugged and said, "I don't know if it's me." Umm, no Sara--it's DEFINITELY you. She laughed and said, "Well, feel free to leave me a Google review." So here it is: Sara deserves ALL the reviews. I live for coffee. My work life isn't sustainable without it. But Sara doesn't just hand me a latte--she hands me the energy to survive meetings, conquer the impossible, and pretend I'm well-rested. That's leadership. The good kind--the kind you can't find just anywhere. So thank you, Sara! I hope you see this. And I hope the rest of you leave her an amazing Google review too. Because if Starbucks ever loses her, I'm going to need a formal bereavement leave.

One of the ladies preparing my treat used an item that had peanut butter and jelly instead of Nutella and didn't tell me. I ended up eating it by mistake and having an allergic reaction. My throat almost completely swelled shut, and I had to go to the emergency room. Now I'm $2000 (or more) in debt to the hospital and when we called to ask for any sort of help, all we got was a sorry, your next treat would be free. That's... not very helpful when I'm now in debt because their restaurant actually almost killed me. I hate being this person, but it's incredibly unprofessional, especially when we'd been customers there for almost two years.

The waitress has a hard time finding our table she walked around at two different times look for our number and when she found our table she I'm sorry those numbers are hard to find. I think the numbers should be taller so the wait staff can see them. Anyway the food was good and tasty. But the falafel bowl is kinda dry and the tzatziki sauce tastes like sour cream. It come out of plastic container. I added Greek dressing to my falafel bowl. It was better. ( please work on the falafel bowl no one likes a dry bowl) My friends had gotten the Hot Mother Clucker is was so delicious . The nitty gritty bowl my friend says it was good but there were burnt flakes in it she wasn't sure what that was. Pearl Sugar Waffles were good by way to sweet. The "Big fatty "breakfast burrito was very small and thin for $12.00 not worth the price but it was delicious. I know this is a small town and heard this was a great place to eat. So we decide to try it out. Needs a little tweaking between the servers. Free water cups are 4oz , they should actually have clear plastic water cups that are a little larger. It would've also been nice to have a pitcher of water or something over by the tea. So you could fill up your own glass. When the Resturant is busy you had to wait to ask for a refill by then your food is cold. This place could be good if tweaked. If you're not sure about my review check it out yourselves. Good luck.
