Starbucks do have nice coffee, and at those prices that is an expectation, but a bit of friendly customer service costs nothing, and that is certainly the level of value received here. To start with the abrupt manager (I am assuming, there were no helpful badges for manes or roles) who was more interested in fiddling with the screen on an EPOS than taking our order, and when she finally gave up with her tech job and condescended to serve us she made no attempt to hide her irritation, definitely not service with a smile. Took the money like Arkwrights till and moved us along to her minion, who seemed equally irritated that we had intruded on her day. When she did finally slap down our beverages and we through gritted teeth cheerily thanked her she managed to mutter an eyecontactless 'enjoy' although from the demeanour it was clear they hoped we would choke on the drinks!!!
