I feel sorry for the employees that have a manager who allows a schedule where only two employees are working. We were in line tonight for 35 minutes with only 3 cars in front getting only 1 or 2 drinks. We watched a girl with glasses keep bothering them and she was clearly an off duty person. We complained about the wait and were told only 2 were there. That's awful. There should be options like closing down the drive thru. Or mobile or managers getting off their butt to help. I would've quit and tbh the manager or scheduler should be fired!!! read more

Horrible service. I waited FOREVER. I ordered a grilled cheese and payed for it. They failed to mention the were out of stock and said okay. We waiting and I expressed my self. Staff are very welcoming but when it comes to making the coffee and meeting the standards to their customers. I asked for extra Carmel and extra crunch on my coffee order and there is hardly any Carmel nor crunch. I recommend the Starbucks in Kroger's. read more

The absolute worst. Whatever time they estimate on mobile order, double it, then still be prepared to stand around for 5-10 minutes while 10 hapless employees stand around seeming doing nothing. To summarize, this location is painfully slow and puts out subpar drinks. Please let them open another coffee shop in north Decatur so there is any option but this. read more

If you want to have a great trip to Starbucks don't go to this one.Today I went there with my friends and after we order it took 25 minutes just for them to get one of our drinks out.and I do understand that Starbucks is a very popular place so it's pretty busy. But after like twenty more minutes we were sick of standing around so we decided to say something my friend went up there and she asked them and he said they're making it right now and then one of the dudes just went over and put it in the delivery section then one of the dudes looked at me and said here is so I went to walk up and he said oh that's not yours and then finally he reaches over and there's been a bag that's sitting on the counter on the other side for 15 minutes or more and he gave it to us and said oh this is yours don't go here unless they get new employees also the girl taking our order acted like it was her first day. I genuinely didn't know reading was so hard. Pretty much every time I go there my drink is made wrong is some shape or forum. I just genuinely don't understand and when you ask them to fix it it's always act like it's a problem. And I can't go to any of the other ones because they make it wrong as well. You need to read a label I just don't get how it's that hard. I've put up with the mess ups for so long I just genuinely won't be back anymore. And it's a shame. read more

I'm here from out of town working and this Starbucks was near the clinic i was working at. I had my mouth set on the salted caramel cream cold brew. When my coffee was delivered, it had no flavor and i paid extra to add extra flavoring. I will never be going back to this Starbucks. I am very disappointed!!!!! read more

They forgot to make my drink, had an attitude when I asked about it after sitting for 15 min waiting, and then filled my drink so high with ice my drink was gone in 2 sips. if I knew I was gonna pay $5 for a cup of ice I would've just gone to the gas station and paid 10 cents. read more

I love my Starbucks coffee. But I have a bone to pick. I DO NOT want to hold onto the credit card machine at the drive through. Most of the staff will just take my card, but there are at least 2 employees that insist I hold the machine. I have ZERO desire to hold on to a piece of equipment that is riddled with germs and funk. All of the other Starbucks I visit while traveling simply take my card and wish me a good day. Get with the program Decatur. read more

The store needed an update and they just finished. The remodel was a total fail. There is track lighting through out the store, no matter where you sit you get a glare in your face and on your key board. The light is so bright that it reflects off the outdated (80's) blonde color decor and totally washed out my optical mouse on my computer making it useless. There is no privacy, with the new sitting arrangement. There is a wall with a combination bench and table sitting. People are literally sitting on top of each other. When I left I did not know whether to give the two guys next to me a dollar for the lap dance. I listen to the guy on one side of me for an half hour on his phone talk about his black heads on his face. The seats are uncomfortable. I was so uncomfortable that I left. On the plus size as usual the staff is wonderful, but it is not worth going to the store any longer, as the physical environment is so hideous and uncomfortable it is time to find another place. read more

Came through the drive thru this morning. The girl taking my order kept trying to rush us with our order and then when we got to the window, I tried telling her I had partner numbers and a reward on my card and instead she ignored me and proceeded to scan my card and charge me full price and hurry and give me my drinks. She was way more into her drive thru time than she was with customer service. As a fellow Starbucks partner I know that is not how we are suppose to treat our customers. Went Sunday morning and it wasn't too busy. I ordered a seasonal drink that's typically made hot, but I asked for them to make it iced. They had no problem and made it for me. The barista even came up to me after and asked if they made it okay. That level of caring isn't often found in franchises like this. This is my go to coffee shop in Decatur. The employees are always friendly and willing to make recommendations based on what you usually order. The store is clean and mostly warm when you want and cool when you need it. Don't sit up front if you want to stay warm. My only complaint is that they never have enough plugins for charging devices. read more

At about 1:30pm, it took a full 30 minutes from the time we entered the drive-thru line to the time we left with our two drinks. The line was not especially long--it was around the building, but not beyond the brick. It was impossible to tell why it was taking so long, but by the time we reached the pick-up window after 25 minutes in line, they still didn't have our drinks ready; we spent the last 5 minutes at the pick-up window. read more

Gotta love going to your hometown Starbucks. It may be the only one in town (except Target) but it still feels as Starbucky as it can get. I met up with some old friends here while I was in town and we sat for 3 hours catching up and sipping lattes. We had a great time. The staff is always super friendly- and even after probably 5 years they still have a lot of the same employees. I think that definitely tells you something when people are happy with their jobs and have longevity in a workplace. Kudos to you, Decatur Starbucks. I've been to this Starbucks many times. It's where I earned my first Gold Card! Every time I have received outstanding service. This place is doing it right. I always feel welcomed and cared for no matter how busy they are. If they mess something up, they fix it immediately without hesitation. By far the best Starbucks experience I've ever had. read more
