We're traveling from Texas and unfortunately we broke down over night. Got a tow to a hotel and made repairs. Back on the road and we needed coffee. Stopped at this location and as most Starbucks it was busy. I decided to place my order inside. It did take a bit to get my order but it sure wasn't because they were working fast and hard. My mask broke just inside so I was holding it. A young lady named Gracie asked me if I would like another one. She then said your from Texas right. At first I thought ok that's weird she knows that. Turns out she was behind us when we pulled in and noticed our plates. She was so sweet and said we're glad to have you here. After a long night it felt good to be treated so kind. If you like Starbucks coffee, this is a good place to go. The customer service is great, and there are usually at least a few empty tables. The staff is always good about answering any questions you might have, and I know, because I usually bombard them with a few dozen. If someone doesn't know the answer, the question will get passed around the staff until it finds someone who does. They're also very nice about giving free samples if you can't quite figure out the taste of something based on a description. While I really like this coffee shop and used to go to it a lot when I was working in Clinton, there are a few things you should know about it if you decide to go: 1) The wireless service is pretty good at most of the tables, but if you need to use it, stay out of the back corner (the one NOT next to the windows). Several times, I've chosen a seat back there and not been able to connect. 2) There are usually plenty of tables to sit at, but occasionally, the place will be crowded and there will be nowhere to sit. There is another coffee shop in town, Cups, and sometimes it's not as crowded as the Starbucks. I also recommend going to Cups if you're looking for a coffee shop but don't like Starbucks coffee. read more

Awful. Filthy. Horrible parking lot that was difficult to get in and out. The dumpster is overflowing and aged bags of trash surround it. There are no trash receptacles on the patio. The women's restroom was dirty and the lock on the door was broken, so they just put a sign on the door for you to knock! There are wet, broken boxes stacked up along the outside wall of the building that contain expensive stainless steel shelving. WHY?? My advice: if you want a good cup of coffee, look for a local coffee house. My advice to Starbucks Corp: close this store. Rebuild in a better location and hire a good management team. read more

Would have rated it a zero star is I could . Could not get my drink as ordered with 3 extra shots of expresso . When ordered this way this drink goes into a larger cup because of the extra fluid ozs $8.59 drink for one. Then asked for a pup cup at the window and cashier heard me and made eye contact with me and ignored my request . Will not be stopping at this Starbucks again on my travels through this route . I am so disappointed in this Starbucks. I can remember a time when you would visit this location and you always had the same employees serving you who actually looked like they enjoyed their job and each other. NOW every time I visit here the employees are rude and act like you're inconveniencing them by ordering. They're getting orders wrong and act very stressed out. There's no doubt that they get busy especially this time of year but it's just very disheartening to see service go down like this. I've never been to a Starbucks and they're out of the items they need in order to make those $5 drinks! Couldn't get a white chocolate mocha or a Carmel macchiato. I ended up with a drink the cashier recommended. When they handed me my drink it was sticky. I'm thinking I need to keep it moving. Not sure who's in charge of this particular location but they need to step up their inventory game. It's morning hours and you don't have the necessary supplies to make the drinks offered on the menu???? They seem to always be out of food, there was a rude worker, and one time I went through the drive thru and waited 10 minutes for no one to take my order. This is the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. It was a mess for starters. The employees were a bunch of bobos. No one said anything to me when I walked up. They just kept walking past me like I was invisible. Finally someone took my order which he good have just turned around to grab and then handed it to me, but instead he forgot I was even there. I go to Starbucks and drink coffee so it's hard to mess it up. I typically get the Pike's Place roast. Whatever I received is not the Pike's Place roast, but it is a suitable substitute. The employees were nice and fast. No complaint there. BUT Salted caramel drink was all sugar, makes you feel sick half way through. Tasted like 4 packs of hot chocolate mix with 12 pumps of caramel syrup. Apple fritter was terrible. No apple flavor, very stale, bad texture. You could get it fresher from a vending machine. I have to begin by stating I was spoiled by confessing that my Starbucks addiction began in the original ground zero city of Seattle. So I was conditioned into expecting a certain Starbucks way. In Mississippi, particularly Jackson, things are a bit different in your typical Starbucks experience. It really depends on the staff at this location as to what type of service you will receive. The most positive thing I must stress is that everyone I have come across that works at this location has been extremely nice. Also they maintain a clean and well stocked space. The amount of employees are often 4 plus during their busy hours throughout the day. The downside is the level of efficiency and quality of your drink order is not very consistent. I can wait 6-10 minutes on a simple order if I go inside. Other times I can be in and out in less than 3 minutes. The drive thru can be quicker depending on the amount of cars waiting. And parking is often just a headache, so is attempting to leave the tight spaced area. Traffic flow is a pit problematic. Your best bet is to use the app to order your drink beforehand if you are in a time crunch otherwise you are pretty much flipping a coin with the odds against you. do want to note that it seems they are focusing on training their staff more since my last visit the other day so I'm positive these minor hiccups will be cleared in the coming weeks. read more

As a longtime Starbucks customers (from Dallas), this was one of our worst experiences. We were behind one customer in line (on inside) and it took about 20 min to get our drinks. They were out of a strawberry flavoring for the customer in front of us, but didn't tell her that until she had waited about 15 min. She requested a refund, so she was sent to the back of the line to get it (now inside line was 4 people). They were out of drink stoppers and the cinnamon at the bar was not actually cinnamon. To top it off, the barista and associate working the drive through window never made eye contact with anyone, acknowledged the long wait times, nor apologized for the out of stock items. Additionally, there were no towels to dry our hands in the bathroom - a big problem in the food industry! Lastly, there were only three employees working this very busy Starbucks, with the drive thru appearing to be their top priority - ignoring customers inside. I've lived in Mississippi for 3 years and this store is the only one near me, 3 years and it's always slow and the drinks are never consistent. I've never had one good drink or experience here but it's my only resort sometimes. I'm just going to have to drive the extra 20 miles to a better one. Bad service, bad drinks, never satisfied here. I live in Ruston, Louisiana and I frequent the Starbucks there. I have a great relationship with the baristas in Ruston. I ended up stopping at the Starbucks in Clinton one night in the middle of a long drive home and it was as good of an experience as I've ever had in any Starbucks. They made me feel right at home.
