This was the closest coffee shop next to our gate. I would have rather went to a local shop for coffee but I didn't see one. I ordered a grande pikes coffee and added my own sugar and cream. I was a bit turned off because the cashier literally continued a conversation with another employee while checking out me and my friend. Call me old school but this is ride and unprofessional. Coffee was still very good.

Located at ORD in terminal 3 between concourse H and K, this Starbucks offers majority of the standard drinks and select pastries plus prepackaged items. They do not have a warmer (or maybe it was broken when I was there) so if you do order a bakery item, it will be cold or room temperature. For ordering at the airport this service was extremely fast. Lines were long however I didn't wait for more than 15 mins to place my order and received it within another 5 mins. Staff members were friendly and funny. I ordered the honey citrus mint herbal tea and an Asiago bagel and they referred to the tea as the 'medicine ball.' Idk if this is how everyone refers to it or not but I found it cute and funny! There's lots of seating in this area, it's in the middle of a food court so that's a plus. You aren't able to preorder online however they do accept payment from the Starbucks app.

Terminal 3 across from gate K4. Not a great shop, but they are always open for early flights. They are so busy and do not have room for more workers. Just a hard location to give us that sweet caffeine. The food temp is off and I'm guessing their oven has to be broken.

Staff super unfriendly and way too busy to even order. Had to go to Dunkin instead. This airport is hit or miss for customer service.

This food court was quiet and not busy compared to the other food court that I walked by in Terminal 3, but that could've just been because it was early. The service here was excellent for an airport food court. There was just one cashier/barista, but she was pleasant and efficient. The line moved quickly. I wanted to try their "matcha elaichi" drink, but they were out of the elaichi. I had assumed this was a combination of matcha and chai, but saw someone else get a chai latte, so I guess the elaichi is a different flavouring. I decided to just get a chai latte. The chai had a slightly artificial taste. Definitely not the worst I've had but I didn't really care for it. I had been planning to get just the drink, but the muffins looked good, so I got a banana nut muffin too. I liked the muffin, it was fluffy and not too oily or sweet. Tasted fresh. Despite the letdown with the drink, I was happy with muffin, and relieved to have such a pleasant experience with the service. I would try this place again if I was in ORD, but order a different drink.

So, I'm walking around, and being a bit hungry I saw The Hampton Social satellite restaurant and decided to give this famous restaurant a try; and it was packed, which was a good sign. I ordered their fried chicken sandwich with Cole slaw. I got a stool at the bar and waited for my number to be called. Within 10 minutes "5120" was hollered "your order is ready for pick up". I grabbed my bag, walked over to my stool and lo and behold I got a very salty smash burger with fries? What the hell? I didn't have the time to replace this mishap, so I ate as much my palette could handle. I was disappointed and salted out. I'm sure their regular stand alone restaurant is good and something like this would never happen.......but there I was very dejected!

I decided on the breakfast sandwich and an espresso martini. The breakfast sandwich was delicious! It came with scrambled eggs, cheddar and bacon on a toasted buttery croissant. It was absolutely delicious! It also came with a side of fruit (pineapple, honeydew and grapes), which was very fresh and also delicious. To drink I had an espresso martini. It was very good. My server and bartender was Sean. He was attentive and checked in on me often. I also found out they offer their cocktails to go. This is good to know if you're trying to catch your flight. For the breakfast sandwich and espresso martini it cost about $40 including tax. I found that to be very reasonable considering it's at the airport.
