Most of the time I will order a Tall Pike which is as close to medium roast that I can get at Starbucks. Although there may be lineups at times they never seem to be long waits. This says a lot about the great staff they have. Seating is usually alright but at times there are no seats available inside or out so you have to take your coffee on the run. It's okay if you don't mind walking with your coffee. Which is not that abnormal. All in all a good location all around.

I was happy I stumbled into it one afternoon when I was shopping. It's a fairly average place with the regular coffee and pastries you'd find at other places, but has more of a homemade feel to it. It has a nice atmosphere to it with interesting pictures of coffee-related designs painted on the walls. They have these nice chairs with coffee imprints on the back... just thought they were cute! The workers of the place were all so cute and friendly. They all had such welcoming faces and seemed excited when I came in. The place wasn't dead, so it couldn't have been due to boredom. They just seemed like good people who enjoy what they do. All the pastries and goodies looked so delicious and fresh. The prices aren't outrageous for the amount of food you would get. There was this yummy looking pie thing that I'm kicking myself for not trying. Next time, I guess. They also had an assortment of sandwiches for lunchtime to choose from. I then told the barista that I ordered an extra large as I always do. The barista who i spoke with identified herself as 'breanna' and immediately started to get angry with me. She said that I got a large because they only have a large for that beverage. I asked breanna what she could do about this as I was in a rush and had a work appointment shortly. Breanna again said that it was normal to give a smaller beverage than ordered and that this beverage only came in large. Having been to starbucks from China, England all over the USA, Toronto etc I was very surprised at her attitude towards me. Generally starbucks has excellent service. I asked to speak with a manager. Breanna told me that she was in charge until tomorrow and that I could come back then. I told Breanna that I was too busy for this and would just like my money back and to go. Breanna then asked to take the beverage from me. I was surprised as I wanted to leave at this point. I told Breanna that I needed something as I had to leave. Breanna then said that I sounded like I was trying to obtain a free drink. I was shocked that a store employee would say this to a customer. I am a great customer at starbucks and have been for over 10 years. I invite starbucks to review my payment history. I have been a gold member for 10 years and have almost never received a refund (as their has rarely been a need). I do not know why this happened. I always thought they trained starbucks employees better than this however I can't confirm that my ethnicity was not a factor in breanna's attitude.
