I've visited this store often throughout the years, mainly due to its' location, I have frequently had issues with the service, on the past two visits, I had a staff member argue with me after making a drink that I ordered to be iced, as hot, on my most recent occasion, where I visited in August 2022, it took a whole team of three baristas to work out how the Cold Brew was made, and they still forgotten to add ice, which could be down to poor training. The interior is dark and well in need of a refurb, as it hasn't changed much in years, and even the seating isn't too comfortable. I think they also need to take care, as many of the tables were blocked by a huge stack of boxes, which were just all over the place, with no sign of anybody unpacking them, not only did this block off a good 2/3 of the seating area but had the potential to be a safety hazard. My guests mentioned their beverage quality was fine, and I would agree with that, after having to explain the process of making the Cold Brew to the staff (To be fair, they seemed friendly enough and apologised, so it must be a training issue) 2* - This Starbucks has a lot of work to meet the regular chain experience and really does show the vast contrast between chain and corporate-owned Starbucks locations.

Beverage quality is generally up to the usual Starbucks standards, however stock of food items / specific beverages could be improved, and they seem to be out of stock of items frequently. I do find the store shuts far too early, closing at 18:00 during the week, and 17:00 on a Saturday, which is a huge inconvenience. 3* - Typical Starbucks store, nothing too special, but there are certainly worse spots around town for a coffee.

The staff were prompt and service was Good, with them asking for my name (so the drink doesn't get mixed up, and the barista repeating the order back to me as it was made... this ensures a) I got the right drink and b) it was made to my requirements, one of both of these Starbucks traits often missed out due to laziness). The toilet is in a strange place and was just OK inside, not dirty but just needed a regular tidy up!

The interior does look good for a mall location, the store used to be so dark and dismal and they really have spent time and consideration improving it, to make it nicer and more welcoming. Most of the seating is just outside the branch, on the mall floor and there isn't a great deal of comfortable seating, compared to the hard chairs on offer. I like the decor. It's perfect to catch up with friends or coworkers, and it would be also be an enjoyable co-working space. We saw plenty of people toiling away on their laptops. Unfortunately, one little gripe though, all of the booths only had one person, camped out with their laptop, so those people should be more mindful to take a smaller table if they're going to work for several hours. I like the various seating options including big tables, small tables, comfy sofa chairs, and counter seating. The menu offers lots of options too including chai lattes which seem less common in the UK, so that was a nice surprise. Overall, it's a cool spot. I'd come again.

Service and drink quality remain good, the typical Starbucks standard. As a corporate-owned store, they support Starbucks cards, rewards and charge the usual prices, which is handy. The opening hours are pretty good, they stay open a little later on Sunday's compared to other Starbucks locations in the city centre, which is great if you're a night-owl like me who loves combining those late nights with a coffee. 4*

I like to sit in with my drink and relax, and the fact the seating area isn't always consistently open does make it less of a safe choice than other coffee shops around town, including the larger Starbucks store across the way at City Tower.
