Well this is my YELP review for a coffee shop. I firstly need to say that if there is a 'local' coffee shop I will always support them more. However, if you want a modern, all mod cons, code number toilets (yes you have to enter a code to get into the loo and what does this say about the way our society is going), tons of choice with added cakes and treats, with neon lighting, but big comfy chairs* and a sanitised environment, this is the place for you. The * is for the fact that the comfy chairs are back to back, so you are back to back with a stranger. I was with someone who voiced that the smell from the person behind them was overpowering . . . to the extent they had to move! Either this person was REALLY smelly, their seats where too close together (eg back to back) or I had a hygiene problem! It really is a very clean sanitised space with regimented circular tables and neon lights with metal shades to hide the fact. Wow, I am not selling this place! Lots of choice of coffees with the thin wooden spatulas to stir your sugar in (they bend and soften so much from the heat they are useless). Big windows both sides so you can watch the world going by and vice versa. I would never recommend to go to this place if you wanted a place with a bit of atmosphere or to meet a blind date for the first time . I suppose the toilets where the final confirmation that I do not like franchises and monopolies, and my experience was a tiny snap shot of why. read more
