The food stuffs were great, but the bread probably could have had just a little less than a tub of butter on it (I could see my friend's arteries clogging while we chatted over breakfast). I had the Lorraine quiche, which was lovely. The cole slaw, though, was not edible because there was so much mayonnaise. The pastries looked amazing - I definitely will have to try one of those next time - maybe for cream tea or something like that (since the scones looked spectacular). The coffee was EXTRA large - I'd suggest not getting the large if you're not planning to be near a bathroom for a while. The main thing about this place is the view - right there on the sea. The parking lot is of decent size, but you can always park on the street. Even during the winter the place gets packed up, so be sure to grab yourself a table first thing you do when you walk in the door - THEN order. Silly set up for sure, but it is what it is.

My wife can recommend the scones and I can, most definitely, suggest the croissants.! Just the job to compliment their oh-so-well made coffee. Plenty of other selections to go for. Tractor rides to get you to the fruit or veg you want. ( also free ) So much choice. Great day spent with kids. Got loads of goodies very cheap. Played Peter Rabbit in the strawberry fields. Really was a great day out. Really recommend. Then stopped at the tea rooms for a drink and some food. Very tasty and still quite reasonable. They also have car boots on a Sunday ( I haven't been to this one but have heard it's quite good ). All the fresh air, the kids slept well. I thought we'd be there maybe 2 hrs? We were there nearly 4 1/2hrs completely lost track of time.

The Chardonnay grapes are as good as on the continent as is the Pinot Noir. The wine is available directly from the shop (discounts for bigger orders). The cream teas they provide on arrival are spot-on, and the perfect start to the tour. As to the quality of the wine, well the UK are a long way behind the best in Europe of course, and each wine will suit one person's palate and not another, but Aly's wines are made with infectious enthusiasm, she tends to her vines with the care you might expect someone would only afford rare flowers.. pruning each vine personally and almost single-handedly (all 8 acres of it!) I would recommend this tour without a moment's hesitation. For their sheer endeavour Aly and Paul deserve every bit of success that (hopefully) comes their way, and I wish them the very best of luck..

It was that awful bagged catering chicken that comes in weird knobbly tiny gristle shaped lumps with some withered lettuce and saturated in a very cheap and disgusting ceasar sauce that certainly had no anchovies or Parmesan in the ingredients. To top it off no croutons and stale brown bread. This is another one of those places that looks nice on the outside but unless you want anything more complex than a coffee and a slice of cake it's really one to avoid
