What a great little breakfast spot - cannot wait to go back to try a few more things. We had the #3, which is just a little smaller version of the classic English breakfast. The food stuffs were great, but the bread probably could have had just a little less than a tub of butter on it (I could see my friend's arteries clogging while we chatted over breakfast). I had the Lorraine quiche, which was lovely. The cole slaw, though, was not edible because there was so much mayonnaise. The pastries looked amazing - I definitely will have to try one of those next time - maybe for cream tea or something like that (since the scones looked spectacular). The coffee was EXTRA large - I'd suggest not getting the large if you're not planning to be near a bathroom for a while. The main thing about this place is the view - right there on the sea. The parking lot is of decent size, but you can always park on the street. Even during the winter the place gets packed up, so be sure to grab yourself a table first thing you do when you walk in the door - THEN order. Silly set up for sure, but it is what it is. read more

I agree with everything about this café. A good meal at a very busy lunch time. a very long queue and loots of staff to cope, meaning once you got to order you could not have to wait long for the meal. A separate ice cream shop below too. read more

Nice location on a lovely day over looking the sea. Food and service are very good. Good place to stop if your wondering along the seafront.

This cafe looks out straight over the beach. Its always busy. It serves hot food and it can be a little pricey but then it is the only cafe in Worthing which has such great views. Great for a hot chocolate after a long walk along the promanade. read more

Very popular with locals Sea Lane Cafe is always busy, summer and winter. Food is excellent - I can recommend the toasties. Staff are efficient and food is well presented. As it is so busy it is sometimes difficult to get a seat. read more

Have been going to Sea Lane Cafe for as long as I can remember. I loved it before it grew in size. Bit of a Worthing institution, walk in the freezing cold wind to be rewarded with a nice hot tea and bun at the cafe. Now it is bursting at the seams after the addition of lots of tables. It has lost it's charm and personally I have lost interest in the place. It is pricey and there is always a queue to be served. The staff are nice. I gave it three stars as it is the only place in the location with such great views. read more

Visited today, Wednesday 6th April, 2011. First really good hot sunny day so far this year. Got there later than I intended - around 1.00pm. The place was heaving, absolutely jam-packed. Really difficult to find a table. Horrendous queue to order refreshments but staff were coping very well. They were most organised and efficient. Yes... the food is very varied - great choice, and not too long to wait either, considering how busy they were. Really only the place to go for special treats, high days or holidays - or unless you are incredibly rich as prices are somewhat over-the top!! Some might even consider the prices a bit of a rip off but judging by the business they were doing, I don't suppose they care too much if customers think they are over-priced. Plenty of staff, however, and tables cleared and cleaned down quickly, and staff very pleasant and courteous. I agree with another review - the serviettes are ridiculous, wafer thin and too small to be of much use. I think, considering their outrageous prices, they could give customers a decent sized and thicker serviette. What does this place proud and attracts so many is its fantastic location, right on the beach at Goring with outstanding sea views and, of course, a bonus if you come by car as they have a large adjoining car park. Pity the owners/proprietors are so greedy and charge over-the-top, so be prepared to be ripped off - it is highway robbery what they charge!! But... if they can get it, more fool us for paying I suppose!!! read more
