This is a good location when I need my fix before work or a pick me up throughout the day. Parking can be tricky, but nothing too awful. Staff is always friendly. The pick up counter can get jammed up a bit. It is small and some customers like to stand in the small cubby waiting for their beverage. Martin was fantastic....like better than any other we have encountered certainly in Starbucks.

This location is very inefficient. Often I'll order food and drink. When I arrive after placing the mobile order 10 minutes ahead of time the drinks are ready but the food often isn't. Sometimes the food is ready, I'll tell them I'm waiting on food, they ignore me then finally come back to give me the food several minutes later that was sitting on their side of the counter the whole time. Their Baristas are Rockem Sockem. Seriously. Best of all, so far I have not had to ask to have any Do Overs, Generally, I order my usuall fav. The Hot(Yes, I said "Hot") Caramel Soy Latte w/Whipped Cream. I was doing a quicky. On the Run Visit. So I opted for a Caramel Soy Frappuccino w/the Whipped Cream & A Drissle of Caramel on Top. Nice Starbucks located in Lakewood Ranch, just outside of Sarasota. If you happen to be in the area, this Starbucks is located within walking distance of the Lakewood Ranch Hospital. The interior is very large, with plenty of seating. They offer a nice selection of take and go food items by the register. Staff was very friendly and Espresso drinks were made very well. read more

I've been to better Starbucks. This one is OK but if they don't have a certain drink they don't suggest another one you might like. For example, I asked about a salted Carmel white mocha. The man said they don't have them right now. Most other Starbucks could have still made it - without the salt (it's a seasonal thing). Or, I asked one time for a custom recipe I brought with me and the lady acted as if it were a huge hassle. It was like 4 squirts of flavoring but because it didn't have a "name" on the menu she acted confused and flustered. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because my daughter loves their Carmel fraps and they haven't done her wrong on that. They have potential if the workers would relax a little more and be more friendly to the customers. It's not brain surgery - it's coffee. It should be fun and more upbeat. read more

Nice baristas who remember a lot of the regulars that comes in. Drinks taste about the same as other starbucks. I like this location just because it has very spacious seating. Two sets of very comfortable large couches (fits 4 total). There are even ones where you can put your feet up! Only con: more outlets! The 3 middle tables are not near any outlets, so you either have to grab the one table near the rear entrance or try to study with your laptop in your lap on the couch. Edit 08/31/13: they changed the seating! Took away the couches and replaced them with more tables and 4 new leather ones! So I give them 5 stars from 4 last time! read more

The Starbucks has a nice atmosphere and a great location if you are in Lakewood ranch and are up for a bit of shopping or seeing a movie! It's also great because it's so close to the hospital... If you have to drop/pick someone up, it's a great place to chill. I've been here twice and both times the staff has been great! They even appear to recognize regulars, addressing them by name. Overall it's very pleasant and a great place to stop in if you are by the hospital, want to shop a bit, want to see a movie, or just want to walk around a bit if you live close by! read more

The customer service was not up to par with other Starbucks. The cashier was impatient and also forgot to give me part of my order. Another worker sat my missing food on the pickup area and quickly walked away, not even an apology. My food selections are consistently delicious from Starbucks though. read more

Very poor customer service at this location. I came in towards closing time and the shift leader was very short with me. She then proceeded to tell me I mumbled so she needed to clarify my drink order, even though the whole time I spoke to her she was giving orders to the other employees. As she was making the drinks she was very aggressive with the supplies and once she finished my drinks she placed them on the counter without a single word spoken. Overall it was a bad experience at this location and I hope they will pick their employees more carefully in the future. read more

I used to visit this Starbucks daily for a flat white. At first, they were very good and I became addicted to the creamy, velvety microfoam and the smooth ristretto pulls of espresso. Unfortunately there now seems to be a rotating group of baristas - only a few of which seem to know how to make a flat white. After too many mediocre flat whites, I finally just gave up my addiction and now I save $4 a day. When trained baristas can only make the drink correctly probably three days out of seven, they should reconsider calling themselves baristas. On my final visit, I'm pretty sure they used hazelnut syrup instead of the raw sugar syrup because it tasted really weird and my tongue got tingly (I'm allergic to nuts). I miss the good flat whites but I don't miss all the mystery drinks. read more
