TLDR: apparently Nick=Dick=Richard. Funniest thing ever happened here once that I keep forgetting to leave a review about. One time we were waiting for my husband's order and it looked like the order ready was his...but they kept calling out "RICHARD??" Which is NOT his name. And nobody was claiming the order after waiting forever. Finally after thinking about it long and hard (that's what she said) we realized...Richard is sometimes an alternate name for Dick. And my husband's name is NICK. So the cashier had written his name mistakenly as Dick, and the person handing out the orders idiotically decided this Dick guy also goes by Richard (which isn't even true for all people named Dick in the first place, and a very stupid thing to just decide on behalf of a stranger). We still laugh about this mixup today, every time we pass this location. read more

I come here often because it's the only starbucks on the mountain. I went today and ordered a strawberry matcha strato and the lady with severe overlined red lips and dark brown hair rolled her eyes at me when i ordered. She was giving me an attitude the whole time, I didn't get her name. I talked to my friend about it and she went earlier today too and she said that same lady was being rude to her too. The drinks ended up coming out wrong, but luckily the barista was kind enough to fix them. Starbucks should work on their customer service because this isn't the only time i've felt disrespected. read more

Located inside a grocery store (Jensen's), this Starbucks location has an amazing crew. The people working there were full of energy and humor. The coffee drinks were made right and fast. We all felt re-energized after a long day at the lake after picking up our caffeine fixes from here and driving back to The OC. Thank you! read more

I've been dropping by this location for sometime, first review. This place as most Starbucks is busy. It's the only "express" coffee place in the area and especially now that Mc Donald's is closed. At Starbucks located inside stores like Target, Ralph's, etc., the associates can be friendly or not depending on who you get and there mood (the employees are store employees not Starbucks). Yesterday, the individual working the register really should have stayed in bed. Barely got two words out of her and those were short. On the positive side, my latte was good. read more

Began visiting in February---visited often in the beginning and via careful observation frequented on harmonious days. Revered seeing locals/visitors alike in this exclusive town. Visiting Starbucks---domestically and internationally---alots a certain appreciation for consistency (a Nobel Laureate said "it wins"). Still learning through exploring this theme slowly while observing and writing. Thanks C. Yep, this is definitely THE WORST Starbucks in So. Cal. I think the workers there know that if you want Starbucks up here in the mountains, this is the only choice, so we're all pretty much held captive. The workers here don't give a rat's ass about the customers. What I usually get when I go here is not prompt courteous service. What I DO get is what the girls did over the weekend/who said what about whom/what their plans are after work. Yep. Crappy service. We usually get ground coffee to make at home, so when we can plan ahead, we pick up said coffee from the Starbucks at the bottom of the hill. read more

The Starbucks located inside a Jensen's market really is its downfall. If it had an actual store front that was bigger it would be so much better. I always have an experience where these types of businesses located inside of another are neglected and are never serving all of the items on the menu because they are consistently out of stock on items that are in high demand. She smiles, looks at customers in the eye, makes you feel like it's a pleasure to serve you and she has a great attitude that makes you feel like she enjoys her job. People love their Starbucks and even more when it's delivered with such great service. Update: This Starbucks has had a huge turn around. not just the afternoon crew, but all day long, every day.... Everyone it seems, has made the decision to smile, ask customers how they're doing, and the whole dynamic behind the counter seems to have changed. People seem positive and like they enjoy their job. I have been a costumer at Starbucks for a very long time and it always had been great employees , food, drinks, and always so clean but these last few month I have been going a lot because I live right by there and the newer employees have treated me like I don't belong there there was a guy employee that did not fill up my tea all the way and I asked to have it filled up more and he asked me what I know about making tea and I find that very rude because I actually did work at a coffee shop and if I said that to a costumer I would be fired I went back today to get some food and a tea and I would like to say there is only one newer employee in there that is sweet and her name is Natalie P. She was so sweet made sure she was quick but very polite and I haven't got that kind of employee there for a while. read more

First of all, the service was insanely slow. I could tell immediately that the workers cared more about gossiping to each other than taking my order. The Americano I ordered was obviously just a regular coffee. The London fog tea latte had to be ordered multiple times as the worker was not paying attention. The only saving grace is the bakery located next to the Starbucks that had sweet workers and delicious pastries. After visiting, I read the ratings on this location, and they are spot on! The ladies could not be bothered as they discussed current happenings in their lives. All 3 gathered behind the espresso machine, not making a drink, as I waited at the register. Later, after being helped and waiting at the pickup counter, the ladies stopped making my drink to go back into a conversation. I couldn't believe the sheer lack of customer service when the barista slid my drink to me while continuing to talk to her peer. No acknowledgment and no thank you. Wow. read more

If I could give them a .5 star I would. In the last 3 months this Starbucks customer service has taken a dive into "you're bothering me to serve you as I'm to busy chatting and making your drink wrong even though I wrote it down". Now I am the type to just not go back but on the mountain we are limited to THIS Starbucks only:( The service used to be friendly and nice and the drink was correct and not slopped together but the new hires are not trained well or need to be in a job that doesn't include customer service. In the last week 3x my drink was wrong and then "a hassle" and an "eye roll" to remake and then made wrong in the remake so I took it and left. 3 months ago they didn't put the lid on correctly and I went to take a drink and hot coffee flooded my chest and legs so I had to pull over and get the clothing off my skin. In reviewing them I hope they make changes so I can have Starbucks in the mountain. read more

This is a smaller store inside a grocery store so seating is limited and lines can get long. But the baristas keep the line moving and even when there are a lot of people it usually doesn't take long to get my drink. read more

The Starbucks in jensons is by far the cleanest places I've seen on this mountain. Everything was so beyond nice there especially one of the baristas Ashlee. She was very very sweet and kind. My tea wasn't filled all the way to the top and I asked her to fill It to the top please and without any word she filled it up and handed it back with a huge smile! I've never really had any of the cashier's be rude to me before like all of these other reviews say. Actually, the baristas are usually really nice and fun and upbeat for such a location. They get super busy as the only Starbucks in the area and I've watched them deal with a lot of crap that I haven't seen in other places. I don't know if it is just the attitude of some of the tourists or what, but I've encountered some of the worst behavior on the customers part here, more than anywhere else on the mountain. They make my drinks consistently and if I have ever had a problem, they fix it immediately (while it happens, I believe it has more to do with the fact that I'm high maintenance rather than an error on thier part). The baristas are always super helpful, especially when I go in and tell them what kind of flavor I'm looking for and they help point me in the right direction. It's always very clean and well stocked and the area they have for it is set up in a really cute and cozy way, especially for being located inside a grocery store. read more

Today marked the second time that this Starbucks location didn't carry anything coffee-related. I understand the store being a bit behind in shipments, seeing as it's both a mountain business and within a different store (in this case, Jensen's). However, I feel as though the store shouldn't even be open in an event such as this; it's a coffee house without coffee! When the most essential aspect of the store is missing, I can't help but give it a substandard score. If this keeps up, I think I'll just stick with the Hot Shots Coffeehouse across the parking lot. That place has more variety in its menu anyway. read more

I've read a lot of the reviews most negative, but on a positive note if you go in the morning the girls that work there are awesome. Alot of the times it gets very busy and there quite fast. Always nice. But I've noticed when I've gone in the afternoon there were some young Hispanic girls that were more concerned with the conversations they were having amongst themselves. This is pretty much the only place to get a cup of coffee on the mountain. So.... yeah. It's your typical Starbucks only with mountain people roaming around in it. I had the hot chocolate. Hard to screw up. It was good. Drinks came out fast on a weekend morning. There was no line when I walked in. Unfortunately, I got distracted by the bakery at Jensen's (It's about 5 paces away from the line). When I returned from my bacon donut fantasy (Don't worry, it was just a fantasy I didn't eat it!), there was a line of 4 people. It went fast, service was good. It's the only option but it isn't a terrible one. Probably the only Starbucks I'll ever admit having been to. read more
