It's always nice to have Starbucks around to decompress after a morning of wandering around Roanoke. I spent about 1 1/2 hours here and thankful that there was seating availability on a Friday afternoon in March 2026. There was nobody that was in Starbucks when I was there, so I picked out a spot that had an outlet right next to the table so that I could charge my phone. The experience was good and typical. I enjoyed the quiet ambiance that came with being here during the workday. The drive thru was slamming but I ended up getting in my drink order. The two baristas working that day was amazing and they definitely brought their A game with them. Nobody in the store with me but the drive thru was stacked. I eventually ordered a trenta black tea lemonade, which hit the spot the day. The vibe was quiet and definitely helped me feel like I could actually live in Roanoke. While my phone was charging, I tended to my phone and worked with the Starbucks WiFi that was provided free of charge. The Starbucks WiFi signal was strong and definitely helped me with my work. All and all, it was a nice experience here at Starbucks like anywhere I go. Due to being a tourist and having that flexibility to be there during the workday, the store was very quiet and empty for me to focus and concentrate while living and working in a comfortable environment. I sat in a wooden chair accompanied by a table. It was nice and comfortable. Definitely a place to enjoy with food and drinks. While the local library is awesome, this doesn't have Starbucks drinks at your disposal. The staff here was very friendly and helpful, considering the drive thru situation at the time of my purchase. The overall experience here at this Starbucks location in north Roanoke, Virginia was very good and pleasant while being typical at the same time. I enjoyed the kindness of the restaurant and the music that often plays in a Starbucks. That's what I enjoy about Starbucks and my experience here at this location. The prices here are typical of any Starbucks, whether you get a hot drink or a cold drink and you can always get water for free. Starbucks is a coffeehouse that you can trust to get your favorite drinks. While the prices are competitive and slightly overpriced, the Starbucks brand is known worldwide, so you can be sure that you're getting a premium product. The trenta black tea that I ordered was good and refreshing. It helped me calm my nerves and helped me transition into the evening ahead that day. For the most part though, my experience here at this Starbucks location in North Roanoke was very chill and pleasant. The sounds of the blenders making espresso and frappunchinos was nice along with the house music that plays virtually constantly was music to my ears. And so, if you are looking for a chill spot to enjoy the downtime of the daily grind or need your daily Starbucks fix, consider coming to this Starbucks location in North Roanoke, if you're in the area. The baristas here are wonderful and great, even when they're trending to the drive thru window customers. They'll make time for you. This Starbucks location is located in North Roanoke, near the Valley View Mall and the Walmart. It's physically located at 4801 Valley View Boulevard NW. Like all Starbucks globally, they accept the local currency in cash as well as major credit cards. Mobile payments are good too, via the Starbucks app. As far as parking goes, there's plenty of parking here for y'all who drive. Just park around the valley view mall and walk on over. There's also limited parking around Starbucks itself and there's the aforementioned drive thru for added convenience. If you are like me, bus route 15 comes to the Valley view mall, so you need to walk from the bus stop. Route 25 comes into the area too, but you'd have to walk 2 miles from the Roanoke airport bus stop. Of course, there's always Uber and Lyft to get you to where you want to go, here to North Roanoke Starbucks, when it is primary destination #1 for your first stop of the day or night in the area. And so, Starbucks is a cool little place to come to when you want refreshments. The baked goods are delicious too. I usually head for their brownies, but during my time here in Roanoke, I decided not to. Maybe in the future when I have more time to spend in Roanoke. Till then, it's a nice place to stop by if you're in the area. 4.5 stars for the overall experience. Support local! B+

The folks who work here are all cheerful and know their java sciences. Lately I have been shifting to Americanas or Latte Macchiatos. Oh, and they have a drive through. I don't know why but Roanoke lacks many coffee drive-thru windows. This feature alone makes cause for 70% my trips to this Starbucks. The only reason I downgraded this location to four stars is they don't have space to work if your group is 3 or more. All the table sets are for 2. So with larger groups I go down the road.

Ordering in advance got me a timely pickup and my drink was iced in front of me to avoid melting. They charge extra for takeout cups, but not for oat milk. My chai had a nice spice mix but felt like it was missing a little sweetness; they had some flavor options but I would like to think the drink should stand on its own. They also offer pastries from a downtown bakery, though their online inventory said they were out of most of them when I checked, whereas in store it looked like they had some. Given the reviews on the matcha, maybe I'll try that in the event that I return. For someone not seeking to go orders, it is a nice space to sit in.

They do have a QR to scan but that's not conducive to driving/navigating the lanes. There are two lines and people standing with pads to take your order. Very quick and efficient system. You won't wait long at all. There's music pumping out and people working there are having a good time. The person taking the order was patient and friendly. You can pay when you order or cash at the pick up counter. The cashier was just as nice too. Ordered a large house blend with one pump of sugar free carmel syrup and one pump of sugar free vanilla. This is the same as a blondie but was nervous ordering that in case it was overly sweet. This has a touch of taste. Probably should have gotten two pumps of each. Rookie mistake on my part. Also ordered a cold brew with cold foam. Asked if there was sugar in the foam and was told yes so got it without sweetener. They give you maybe - seriously, like maybe a 1/4 tsp of foam on top. So, the drink is very strong without added creamer/sugar AND cold foam. Aside from the rookie errors - again our problems since never been - the coffees were just okay. Wouldn't go out of my way to get again (we took slight detour from our route). However, if one is in the area and it was convenient would for sure try again.

I'm usually a black coffee gal, but I decided to get a latte-ish drink because I needed something that photographed a little better. The Cafe Nola is l espresso shots topped with cream, so it looks like a latte but it's even more decadent. It was very tasty, and went well with the beignets and beignet chips I ordered. The beignets here are more like mini elephant ears, but they're still worth a try. I liked the beignet chips a little better -- they're nice and crispy, and dusted with powdered sugar. I visited during breakfast, so I also got a bacon, egg and cheese panini. It was good but the bread could have been a little more toasted, if I'm being nit-picky (and when am I not?). The panini came with fries, which were delicious. There is lots of seating at Brew Da Bean.
