This branch of Starbucks is the closest branch to the Hilton in Berlin, which was where I stayed for my week in the German capital. It is a fairly large branch and probably one of the larger stores I've seen so far in Berlin, it is accessed through a large step from the ordering station to the seats which can be a little frustrating if you are attending in a wheelchair, there is a satisfactory amount of seating including downstairs seating too.
The staff here seemed friendly enough, the woman who spoke to me spoke little English but still tried to talk to me and get my order right, despite a little confusion at first. I ordered a Hazelnut Praline Frappucino as it isn't available in the UK, my home country.
Like Most Starbucks in Germany, this place has free wi-fi and is a tad more expensive than other branches of Starbucks such as in the UK and US, and only accepts Starbucks cards from Germany, nowhere else, this tends to be the case for most of Europe where the country's Starbucks cards are only valid here and it tends to be more expensive due to the licensing, meanwhile in the UK and US cardholders can use the cards between those two countries and others including Ireland and Canada.
My drink quality was okay, it was a tad thick but it was actually a nice drink, combining the coffee and hazelnut flavour and some form of mocha/chocolate.
Overall, this is a nice branch, albeit there are some slight issues such as the issues which affect Starbucks stores across Germany, not just this one as well as the slight inaccessibility through the step, the location is a little hidden and can be hard to find, being close to Stadtmitte Station, overall the location is okay but not fantastic. Due to the points discussed I feel this branch of Starbucks, deserves three stars. read more
