I was traveling I-10E and was in need for a Starbucks. This was the closest where I was at. With about 7 cars in the drive-thru I thought it would've been quicker if I went inside to order. When I walked in, there was 1 other person in line. I ordered 2 drinks off the menu and it took about 20 minutes to get my drink. Looks like they were making the drive-thru a priority. Now I know to use the drive-thur no matter how many cars. Lesson learned, though I think walk-ins should be treated separately. Also, the condiment bar was pretty messy and needed re-fills. The speed of the drive-thru has definitely improved in recent months. I go to this location daily, usually late morning, and even if there are 10 cars in line, it never takes more than 15 minutes to get through. Afternoons are definitely slower, but that's probably at least partially due to an increase in orders of frappacinos (sp?). Hopefully once the new location opens, it'll lighten the load for this location. The employees are all mostly friendly and knowledgeable about their menu and my drinks are consistently good. read more

This is by far the worst Starbucks I've ever been too. They get my order wrong 75% of the time. It's a very basic order not sure how it's constantly messed up. What makes it worst though is the wait. It takes at a minimum 20 minutes to get your drink, even when they're not busy and then it's wrong. And the few times it's been correct it still tastes off. I'm assuming the management here is not staying on top of quality. I've been to Starbucks all across the country, actually across the world and the drinks taste the same from place to place but not here.. they can't even get that right. Ordered on the app and it said my order would be ready in 3-5 mins. So I got there in about 5 mins. When I got there it was busy so I was ok that my drink wasn't ready immediately but I waited an hour and my drink still wasn't ready so now I'm leaving. Will not be going back. read more

Ridiculously slow drive thru line. We're talking up to 20 minutes sometimes and it doesn't matter what time of the day it is, there's always at least 5 cars waiting and they take forever with each order. I've been to plenty of other Starbucks locations that are prompt, efficient, and accurate with their orders (inside or drive thru) so this location needs to get it together. read more

I've been to Starbucks all over the nation, and this one is easily the worst. I've given them chances. Really, I have. I've lived in Beaumont for 3 years and try Starbucks again every 3-4 months hoping for new baristas, new management, new anything at this point. It. Still. Sucks. First, this is the slowest drive thru in town. I'm talking an average of 20 minutes waiting... Even when there are only 2 cars. This is incredibly annoying. I gave Starbucks one more chance on 2/15/13. I waited 25 minutes for 3 drinks on a slow night. There were 4 baristas and one girl was making all 3 of my drinks. I watched her try to squirt caramel on my husband's macchiato and the top of the bottle popped off. She stepped on it. She picked it up. She put it back on the caramel bottle and continued using it. I was disgusted that she didn't wash it. I left, and I will never return. Take your $5 and buy a cup of coffee anywhere else in town. read more

Continuous disappointment. Starbucks why do I continue to give you my money only to deal either inconsistency in your coffee drinks and rude employees? After waiting 10 minutes for the girl to come out of the bathroom, I order $40.00 worth of gift card. She gives them to me and then goes to make a coffee. I am waiting on the receipt so I ask her If I can have my receipt. She ignores me. I ask again. She states "I heard you." If you heard me why didn't you use the most basic of customer service skills to respond and actually finish ringing me out before taking on another task? Ridiculous! May I first say that they are "slow" because they are very busy. They are our only stand alone location in Beaumont. That said, I agree with the reviewer that said their service speed has improved recently. I find it depends on what time of day you go and what baristas are working. I ordered at 1:40PM it's 2:20 PM and still haven't received my drink. When I talked to the manager she didn't seem to care. This location by far is the WORSE service. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks and after receiving them my husbands drink tasted like water and he ordered a double shot of espresso choc mocha. He stopped at the nearest convenient store and threw it out and got a water. The one I ordered was mostly milk! I got the sugar free vanilla latte. I suffered through half of mine and threw it out. VERY disappointed! When you pay a lot for coffee you expect it to be great! We drove 20 min to get it and it was our only reason for getting out too. VERY disappointing!!!!! Will NOT be back! PS they were NOT very busy either because all 3 ladies working were talking on their headphone sets to each other the entire time ignoring all customers. Today I stood in line for fourth minutes to get two slices of gingerbread loaf only to be told they were out of that item. The drive through window was completely out of control. There were four employees working out front and four in the rear. They had two registers with just one of them being used with eight workers in the store Starbucks products aren't good enough for me to endure this again...... They need competition. read more

This place is ALWAYS slow and on the last occasion, a lady asked what our drinks were before we made it up to the cashier like she was ready to make them.....wrong. For the third consecutive time (and several previous times) my experience at Starbucks on Dowlen in Beaumont was a letdown. Yesterday I was surprised to see less than the usual 10-car backlog at the drive-through, so I went for it. I ordered a Grande dark roast, black. I got some kind of chocolatey syrupy goo. But I did not know that until I got to work and wanted to have my coffee. $2.27 down the drain. And the other customer who was looking forward to that morning jolt of liquid chocolate was also in for a disappointment. This morning I went into the store and got in line. It was about 7:15. About 6 staff in the store. The person who was supposed to be waiting on the counter was laughing and singing the Twelve Days of Christmas. Other employees were about equally divided between working and standing around. I placed my order, paid with a debit card, and waited. The server did not say "Oh, I'm sorry! We are out of that coffee, but I will make some -- do you have time to wait a couple of minutes?" She said nothing, turned around and was working on a coffee filter, etc. When she turned back to me she said "You're good to go." She quickly translated the "HUH?" look on my face and explained "we are making it; it will be ready in a few minutes." I said "This is the second time in a row this has happened to me. How hard is it to have the basic products ready instead of singing Christmas songs?? That is your freakin' business. I would like my money back." Then I asked for the manager, who was standing right beside the counter. I said the same things to her. Then advised it was the last time I would be visiting their store. She walked away, calling over her shoulder (with an edge of sarcasm) "I'm sorry for your inconvenience." I said "No, you're not. You think I am out of control and over the top." She did not bother to disagree with me. Farewell, Starbucks on Dowlen. Very slow service. Usually it takes at least 20 minutes to get through the drive-thru. The other day I went in the store and I waited in line for 30 minutes. Some of the staff members are unprofessional and sometimes rude. I'm giving this location two stars because despite the terrible service; they have never gotten my order wrong and they are sanitary. read more

Every time I go to this location, the staff is rude and they get my order wrong every time. I ordered two drinks through the mobile app; one a Maple Pecan Latte with just a couple Splenda in it, and the other was a Maple Pecan Frappuccino with 3 shots of espresso. All of the details of each drink are printed out on the stickers for the baristas to read, so tell me why the girl tried handing me an ICED maple pecan drink... Then when I point out that I ordered a frozen drink not an iced, she acted like she didn't even know. It says it on the label. Not to mention when I got the replacement drink, it didn't even have my shots of espresso in it. I hate this location with a passion because it's always something with them. Will they ever get there stuff together? The one on College is ten times as busy and I never have any issues with them. Someone needs to go in and retrain everybody at the Dowlen location. read more
