I'd ordered a latte with an extra shot, which admittedly was my mistake, because after only a few sips I started to feel jittery and unwell, so I asked if I could swap it out for a matcha. The barista said this wasn't possible and I had to pay for a second drink if I wanted it, which I did, but I just thought this was a bit different from my experience at other coffee shops where if I'm unable to eat or drink something comfortably, or even if it simply doesn't taste how I thought it might, I've been able to swap it out no questions asked, and certainly not for an additional cost. Although, the part that really threw me off was that as I was sitting and drinking my matcha, I overheard the baristas speaking negatively, and very loudly mind you, about other customers. I could very clearly hear their complaints about one customer in particular who apparently had asked multiple times whether or not they had an option for online ordering (they don't), but the baristas all seemed very openly annoyed by this customer and agreed with one another about it. It was a bit awkward to be sitting and hearing them talk so negatively about a customer, especially knowing that I too have asked them that same question before... I ended up feeling quite uncomfortable knowing that they probably thought me a difficult customer, too, for asking to swap out my drink and left soon after. Probably won't be back for a while, or at least until I can order online and not have to face the baristas again TLDR: Good coffee with cool specialty lattes/flavors, but baristas are a bit rude/unprofessional and openly talk negatively about "annoying" customers

Even more remarkable, when I tried to leave a tip for going so far above and beyond, Libar graciously refused with, "I love my job." That kind of compassion can't be trained--it's who she is.
