The young lady making drinks was argumentative whennI told her I ordered xtra Strawberries in the Acai lemonade. There were literally 6 to 8 strawberries in my cup and it looked like water. She argued that she put extra in the order and I wish I did take a picture. She offered to put more in it and I said yes, please and she had to add, but there are extra in the glass. I get this drink all the time at the Starbucks our New Scotland Avenue in Albany and it's perfect and always loaded with strawberries. I had to bring it back again, because it taste like water. A Young man was making my drink and she was making comments to him, so I'm just thinking the manager needs to know. Was with a person who is not used to going to Starbucks and the counter person was awesome in explaining the different drink options- right down to which have cubed ice and which are more frozen smoothie consistency- and the service was quick and drinks were done excellently. The inside is fine with seats and tables as expected. I've gone and gotten coffee with a friend and sat on the leather club chairs. It's what you would expect. The problem is just the parking and entrance. It's hard to get in/out of from certain directions. The parking lot is shared with other businesses and is small and usually full. The drive thru seems to always have a big line. I'm not sure if that is a testament to its' popularity or a negative about the time it takes to get through. read more

We stopped at a rest stop, Hwy 90 Clifton Springs, NY. I placed my order and after 15 min got my money back. There were 3 baristas working feverishly trying to keep up with orders including a drive through while 2 managers and another barista messed with a coffee machine (which they had to get a 4th person to fix). A good manager would see the line of 10 people and the long line of cars and pitch in. These 2 women were oblivious to the situation. I basically work out of this Starbucks every week day. It's close to the house (bike ride away) and the baristas are always friendly (not just to me, but everyone I see they interact with). Usually I sit at the bar so I get a front row seat haha Bathrooms are pretty clean, there's a small "rush" around 10am or 11am, but by 12-2pm, the place clears out significantly so it's a great place for work. Coffee tastes like, well Starbucks coffee. Which is why I come here (consistency). Most importantly, wifi game strong, so highly recommend, super fast shipping, A+++ read more

I'm a fan that they have a drive through window. Seriously. In my life, Starbucks has been relegated to drip coffee for a caffeine fix while I'm on the run. If I have time to sit down, I'll seek out an independent cafe. If I want an espresso drink in the region, I'll go to Caffe Vero. But I'm a busy guy, and I'm in the car more often than I would like to admit. For those times the drive through Starbucks experience is a life saver. And even if you don't believe Starbucks coffee is better than Dunkin' Donuts, their drip coffee is actually cheaper ounce to ounce. Although I do happen to believe Starbucks is better. That DD excuse for coffee is just nasty unless you hit it with a ton of cream and sugar. And by then it's not coffee. It's a confection. So thanks to this store for supporting a drive-through window. This Starbucks has a good look about it, and they manage their service very well, but it's layout is a bit odd. Pros: + The service at this Starbucks is very helpful. At least once when bold wasn't available, they comped me an Americano. + The drive through is very convenient. Cons: - Location, location, location. What a mess! No left turn on either entrance on a ridiculously busy corner. Really tough to get to. - The location isn't comfortable. One of the major features of Starbucks is the feeling of relaxation, escape, and somewhere to meet, talk, and work. This Starbucks feels like none of those things, but maybe several rooms that accidentally got together in one place. - Ditto on the ordering counter. It's like a funnel, and makes a mess of ordering pastries and reading the menu. The problems of this Starbucks are more construction than service. Their coffee and staff are good, and that's really what it's about. If you need a brew from Starbucks, stop here. If you need a place to hang out, try the Starbucks at the other end of Wolff, or Professor Java's down the street. I've never had a bad customer service experience at this Starbucks. Their coffee and dessert drinks are fine. Their lemon and cinnamon pound cakes are fresh and tasty. They are clean and have free wifi. I am not the biggest fan of their location. The turn into their drive through is only easy if you are on the right side of wolf road. No entry from any other direction. The exit on the Wolf road side makes it hard to take a left at the intersection when turning right and really no fun when turning left. There is no left turn out of the drive through. You will have to take a right, go to the traffic circle just past the library, then come back around to go to the Albany airport. Parking is not great either as the lot is shared with a Moe's though for some that might be a plus if you are looking for a coffee and burrito... Basically, it is a good Starbucks in a less than ideal location. read more

So I should start by mentioning I lived in Seattle for a number of years and maybe I have high expectations of Starbucks locations. This place is a complete hit or miss depending on the day and I'm not sure if in other places, like Seattle, this location would survive. I recently moved and this location is along my commute. And it has a drive thru. I was so excited. Then I tried it a few mornings. A few mornings I've spent over 10 minutes sitting in the drive thru waiting with only 3-4 cars in front of me. A few times I've had terribly burnt espresso drinks from here. And one time I'm fairly certain they just gave me a wrong drink - the side said it was the right thing, but it definitely did not taste like what I ordered. However, there are some mornings that I go and it is speedy and the coffee is delicious. Sometimes the people are friendly and other times I think that some of the staff must hate their jobs and it shows. I do enjoy Starbucks coffee, but sometimes it's hard for me to come here because I'm never sure what I'm going to get. read more

The ambiance of this small cafè brings a immediate comfort. Unlike most Starbucks shops which have a lot of people who are in and out quickly for their daily routine, this Starbucks is a home to socializers alike also. The coffee is self-explanatory. I get three shots of espresso and a blueberry scone every time I go and it is consistent every time. My girlfriend enjoys smoothies and she said they are delectable. The point is that this is a lower trafficking Starbucks based on my experience being week mornings. It's cozy. The coffee is ideal. The staff is completely nice. What I like about Starbucks is consistency and overall this place delivers the same drinks, food variety, merchandise as other Starbucks. The main complaint I have is the logistics here could be better. I went here for three straight days and noticed that the baristas were taking a significant time to get the made to order food like oatmeal or tasted sandwiches. This resulted in a longer than necessary wait time which I believe is usually less than a minute at the cashier station at most Starbucks. This Starbucks needs a lot of help. I visited this location yesterday and ordered a salted caramel hot chocolate through the drive-through. As I approached the window I could see close to 10 employees running around and not really knowing what to do inside. Upon my arrival at the window, the window barista asked me again what my order was. I explained it to her and she asked some of the other employees and they all looked completely lost. I'm not sure why it is so hard to add a drizzle of caramel and some salt to a hot chocolate but these folks could not figure it out. I waited at the window for almost 10 minutes and after driving away I realized that they just gave me a plain hot chocolate after all that. I wouldn't even be writing this review as aggravated as I was but when I looked at my bank statement this morning I saw that they charged me $10.91 for said grande hot chocolate -- that's double what it should have been (which is already overpriced). I live locally and will never be returning to this location and am pretty burned on Starbucks as a whole. read more

This is a poor excuse for a starbucks. My fiancee and I have come here quite a bit and its always a hit or miss with the service, but when its a miss its a HUGE miss. The cashier person tends to yell sometimes (I guess because they are multi-tasking) when asking for your order. Also, the counter person was just taking out the expired yogurt from the display. I ordered a soy chai latte and my fiancee ordered a nonfat latte with 2 splendas and they forgot the splendas. I went through the drive through and purchased two venti decafs. When I got them, they were ice cold. I went inside and while standing in line, one of the workers noticed me and immediately addressed my problem. The manager (or at least the person who acted as a leader) handled it well, even giving me tickets for two free drinks in the future and multiple apologies from the team. Customer service, folks.
