If you've been to Starbird before, you know the quality and experience. Personally, it's always positively delicious. Located at the B gates in SFO, this Starbird is unique by being the only Starbird location to have a breakfast option. With the sounds and view of SFO airport surrounding the restaurant, the mood feels like a coffee shop. But what doesn't change compared to other Starbirds is that the great quality is still there, the affordability is good, and the service is phenomenal. And personally speaking, the service went over and beyond! I made an error with an order and was about to place a new one. One of the staff members, Grace, noticed and helped me out in getting my correct order, so many thanks to her for her help with my issue! Yeah, I'm personally biased as the Starbird near my area is great, both food and staff. The only downside for this location is not being able to use coupons if you have the app. But otherwise, I'm happy to see my Starbird experience go beyond cities, even when I'm about to fly away to another one. read more

The sauce was ok and the ingredients were fresh, but nothing out of the ordinary. Id return if I'm the area, but wouldn't go out of my way to try again. read more

Kind of pricey but it was pretty good chicken. Ordered the chicken sandwich with fries along with a chicken tender box with coleslaw. The food was good per se but the food counter, seating area and surrounding is gross. Like the tables are dirty and the side standing tables are holding their supplies like the fry oil and produce. They should be really keeping their supplies inside the restaurant. Also the pick up counter is in front of these awkwardly arranged seating tables. People waiting for food, people don't want to sit in the tables. It's just not good flow. So chicken with the yogurt ranch sauce is good. But the logistics of Starbirds restaurant is not so good. read more

That said the airport location is awful comparatively speaking and prob damaging the brand for the many fine city locations. In short: - Can't use app - Can't seem to get or use Starbird points at this location - Prices are more than 50% more than other locations - They charge a 5% EE benefits surcharge - Pieces are way smaller and not as crispy as city locations - understaffed - No digital board showing ready orders like other locations - No Tater tots at this location after 10:30a In short twice the price and half the value. I'm so glad that I stumbled upon Starbird Chicken while roaming Terminal 1! I knew I'd need something filling for my long flight, and their Chicken Chop Salad caught my eye. It came with crispy chicken, tomatoes, roasted corn, avocado mash, pepitas, crispy tortillas, cotija, and a delicious Chipotle Lime Dressing. The chicken was tender, crispy, and juicy and the dressing tired everything together perfectly - it's honestly one of the best salads I've had in a while! Though, following in the footsteps of In-N-Out, their fries need a serious makeover. Starbird: Surprisingly good sandwich for airport food. The fried chicken breast was crunchy over every bit of the surface area, but tender meat inside. The buttery roll was nice and fluffy, a perfect contrast. I liked all the veggies, adding some texture and flavor contrast without making it overwhelming vegetable-forward. Sauce was good too. Fries: Sadly, this was a blight on an otherwise great meal. The fries were soggy and limp. Also, tasted too oily. It seemed they were made fresh, which is admirable, but more attention should be paid to making them crispy. Even fresh fries should be twice-fried for better texture. Strawberry Lemonade: Very refreshing. Tasted freshly made. The candy-like strawberry was a great pairing to the slightly tart lemonade. As an airport employee I've come to rely on Starbird for quick, friendly service. Food quality is consistent and they make great salads. My fave is the Green Goddess Cob. Jackson who is a very spirited customer service rep there is a great guy. It's best to pre-order for fastest service. read more

Love this location! They make a salad you can't find elsewhere (or at least not at the South San Francisco location) -- Chicken Katsu. The BEST Starbird salad, and better than any salad at Chick-fil-A. Usually I come here and receive great service. Today's night crew started off ok until I accidentally dropped one of my tenders on the airport floor and had to throw it away from falling on the nasty carpet. I went back to tell them (Elizabeth G, Cashier) about it and asked if I could get a new one as a replacement. She along with the meal prep guy said they cannot help me with that laughingly and speaking about it in their foreign language. Laughed again, said sorry again and told me about a 5 second rule to pick it up off the floor and eat it. I was taken back and baffled by this statement. Especially that I was a paying customer, A hungry Flight Attendant at that waiting for his next flight. Elizabeth wanted to charge me an extra $4 for one more finger instead of doing the right thing. It really was just not great hospitable customer service. Starbird SFO please fix this procedure as it is not customer service friendly and makes your business look bad by employees servicing like this. I would have atleast appreciated some type of effort to confirm what I was saying was true, as if they thought I was trying to get a freebie. Instead I was met with rude, disrespectful dismissive comments that was simply poorly worded to tell someone they should've picked it up and ate off the floor if within 5 seconds. Second time going here and it was okay, nothing great. The dipping sauces are pretty generous portions which is nice. The food, however, has come out cold. It's unfortunate because the price is high and the food could be much better if it was hot and fresh. Definitely going to give the other restaurants at.
