For example, with the carpets, he insisted on getting the couch (which has been installed for years) out and cleaning the carpet behind it. I was amazed an appalled at what was behind there!!! He didn't have to do that. He's a perfectionist. Third, price. I do only have a one bed apartment but the service he gave me for the whole place ($150) I have received before and paid double for. Forth, this is a man who loves his job. What makes you happy won't make him happy. He knows clean better than you. Fifth. Products. The last time I had my carpets cleaned by some cowboys they used chemicals. Tony uses natural products that cost him more but are far better for both the carpets and the scent afterwards. He doesn't cut any costs and those costs aren't passed onto you. Sixth, work ethic. Tony was supposed to be here for two hours. He was here for four hours at no extra cost. How about that? Seventh. I hired Kleanup Home & Carpet Cleaning to clean our 3bd condo and clean the upholstery on our Minotti couch. The couch is very expensive and I asked repeatedly to the owner, Justin, who was the one cleaning the upholstery, if he knew how to clean this special linen material, if he had experience cleaning these types of couches and he reassured me that he had and he knew what he was doing. THE CUSHIONS WERE ALMOST RUINED after he "cleaned" them. They were filthier than before because he decided to lay them out in our hallway on the dirty floor while they were wet without wiping down the floor or thinking to lay down something clean. He also tried to clean a water stain on the back of the couch frame and instead MADE THE WATER STAIN BIGGER! When I sent photos telling the owner what had happened, he reassured me that the large water stain created was actually because there was a hidden water stain (ummm, no) his cleaning had revealed?! When that answer did not satisfy me he agreed to refund me the money I spent on the upholstery (just checked my credit card statement and he HAS NOT REFUNDED ME and it's been over 3 weeks now). I took the cushions to a specialist and it cost me an additional $750 to have them cleaned. They weren't even sure they could correct what he had done! It was the worst experience ever. And when I tried reasoning with the owner on the phone about what happened, he began saying "he didn't know what I did all day, but that he works on his hands and knees" insinuating I just sit on my ass at home all day (because I'm a stay at home mom) and how dare I try to file a claim for the good work done!!!! UGH. Worst experience ever. Still waiting for my refund that he agreed to pay me... ****AND he originally messed up the scheduled dates! They were supposed to come on Monday. I waited all day. Finally I called and the owner was so confused. Said he didn't have me booked down or my credit card information (which I gave him the night before). He apologized, said he would give me a discount and then scheduled to come on that Wednesday... I should have known from this sloppiness what kind of operation I was dealing with. RUN!!! Find a better cleaning company to use.
