Extremely rude staff…read more Family has patronized Hendrix Heating before, but when I was asked to call this company to investigate the process of installing a ductless HVAC with heatpump, this company showed its true nature: petty and vindictive. I called first thing in the morning, right as they opened, excited to start the process of updating the property (currently has no AC and only a wood stove for heat). I explained who I was, why I was calling, and what my family wanted. I explained that I was not the owner, but I'd been asked to gather information from a local installer on their behalf, and that they would be available to approve any visit for estimation. I left a callback and waited more than an hour before checking with them, again. The scheduler not only refused to answer even general questions about their services, but told me the reason she had not called me back was that she was going through messages from the weekend. I said "oh, that's fine, can you call me when you get to my name on the list?" She said "no, I won't be calling you" and ended the call. I called back and spoke with another woman and expressed "frustration" over this. I told her we absolutely understood that the property owner needs to authorize an estimation visit, but stressed that I was simply tasked, at this stage, with gathering info and recommending a vendor for the service. I asked this second rep if the company has too much business and does not see value in answering prospective customers' general inquiries, and she said "no, we definitely do have time to answer questions". I thanked her and asked that the scheduler call me back. She said she would. The call ended. No call came, and our family contacted Hendrix again only to be refused any level of service (despite, again, having spent multiple thousands of dollars with this company in the recent past), due to me being "rude" on the phone. Our family simply called a competitor -- and I urge anyone reading this to call another company. This company does not know what to do with direct prospective customer feedback that is offered without rudeness, colorful language, or raised voice. I would much rather provide this kind of feedback directly to a company and keep it out of the public sphere, but at this stage, since this company is not professional enough to handle one on one communication, I am putting this out to warn others.

He recommended Santiam Heating &Sheet Metal having used them for both commercial and residential work. I got quotes from Santiam Heating &Sheet Metal and one other company. Both inspected my system and said it would not last much longer but that I use the existing duo until they died. Santiam quote was slightly higher of the two. After more than a year in fear of the system failing during a cold snap or a heat wave I decided to get it replaced. Based on my son's recommendation I hired SHSM. They were great to work with! They came when scheduled, they were friendly and respectful, and they were extremely careful not to make a mess. In fact the area was cleaner when they finished than when they started. The new system works like a charm. When there was a small problem they responded immediately and corrected the problem. Don't hire Weis Plumbing!…read more We live in a beautiful 120 year old home in Albany with plaster ceilings and walls. Ten years ago we had a leak in an upstairs bathtub (seal failed) which caused water to drain into our dining room ceiling, flowing down through our chandelier. It ruined part of our table, our table pads and left numerous flaking sections of the ceiling. We called Weis to fix the leaking drain. Unbeknownst to us, they "repaired" the seal with plumber's putty which dries out and cracks over time. In the spring of 2024, we finally had budgeted to have our dining room ceiling repaired and painted - FINALLY!! Three months later the seal in that same upstairs tub failed and water poured down and through our ceiling again. Once again I have patches of plaster that are cracked and threatening to collapse. Needless to say, we did not call Weis to fix it the second time. The plumber that we did call told us that it was "repaired" with plumber's putty which had dried out and cracked. They fixed it with silicone which does not dry out or crack. I sent an email to Weis last summer explaining what had happened. Foolishly I thought that I would hear back from someone with - at a minimum - an apology for what had happened. I held out hope that they might offer to cover the cost of our latest plumber's bill or - I know crazy - offer to help cover the cost of the new repairs needed. I did not hear back in any way from them. That tells me all the rest that I need to know about this company.
