It was my friends first pedicure so he was a little nervous but the nail tech doing his feet was very knowledgeable and considerate to his requests. My pedicure was fine. We both got the European one for $65-70. I think in comparison to other salons I've been to, I've seen more bang for your buck elsewhere. This pedicure didn't have anything special about it which is why the cost was surprising. If coming for a pedicure here, I'd recommend sticking with the basic pedi. I'd consider coming back for future pedis when I'm back in town!

Ok so I have a hard time writing this review because I'm torn. I've come here a few times over the…read morecourse of our short time in North Dakota, and it's hit or miss for me. Firstly, the good: the vibe is classy & chic, clean and sophisticated. Also, their bar guy is solid! I've never had such an amazing Thai tea!!! They offer plenty of fabulous mani/pedi/spa options. Now here's the not-so-great: it's NOT CHEAP. Let me state the fact that I come from a city with the largest nail salon in the world (Houston, up until this past summer... Dallas now holds that title with a 13,000 sf ft space!). I guess they really do everything bigger in Texas, right?! Lol. Now back to Nail Boss. I swear the prices here are at the very least DOUBLE of what I pay in Houston. I haven't been to any other nail salon in Bismarck (or North Dakota, for that matter), so I can't attest to the average pricing for y'all, but DAYUM! So I would give 5 stars if the mani/pedi was perfect every time, but my last one before leaving was not, unfortunately. My pedicure was essentially UNCURED and my shellac was slipping and sliding all over the place for well over a month underneath the top coat. Furthermore, I didn't even ASK for shellac on my toes! I just wanted matching polish to my shellac mani. I was preoccupied talking to the nice girl next to me before realizing what had happened. I must say however, my manicure & pedicure lasted well into the 8-week mark. That is a super record! No chipping, breakage or anything. Just super, duper grown out nails. I think I was just seeing how long it would go. I didn't replace it all until I absolutely needed to for an event, and even then, my nails were still intact! I'll miss that Thai tea though... :(

A week later, I'm still upset about my experience at Nail Boss. I wanted to give it time before…read morewriting a review, but the more I think about it--and look at the state of my nails--the worse I feel. My pedicure with Emily was painful and uncomfortable from the start. She was clearly in a bad mood, barely spoke to me, cut me, and at one point dumped what smelled like acetone or alcohol directly on my leg instead of using oil. I told her the experience was unpleasant and that her mood was affecting it. The manager stepped in, and I asked not to have Emily do my manicure. I was then left waiting 45 minutes before anyone else was available. The manicure was rushed and already looks terrible--chipped polish, ragged cuticles. The entire salon was packed and tense, like no one wanted to be there, including the staff. It cost $120 and took nearly 2 hours. I will not be returning.

When I got there I sat down and had my feet in the water for maybe 1 min before she pulled them out. She started trimming my nails and then asked if she could cut them shorter. "I guess.." then she asked which pedicure I wanted and I told her I hadn't decided and before I could read all of them she was snatching the book out of my hand. same thing with the colors. my big toe is cut crooked and the paint is on my cuticles and skin. i am expecting a baby in a few weeks and was hoping to relax and have some relaxing time before i deliver. i am so extremely disappointed and feel like i wasted my time and money at this place.

They have a lot of colors to choose from, beautiful and clean nail salon, relaxing waiting area and separate nails and pedicure rooms. We had an appointment for one pedicure and ended up coming as a group of 4, they were very accommodating and happy to help us all right away. We would definitely not hesitate to return and recommend.

I have been going to Evolve Salon and Spa for a long time. I want to quantify that but I find that…read morethe specific number makes me think about time in ways I am not prepared to address in a Yelp review, so I will say many years and we will both understand what that means. Here is what I know. Every four to five weeks, without fail, I have an appointment. It is on the calendar. It is not negotiable. The Evolve appointment is on that calendar. It has never moved. This should tell you something. I came in originally for a haircut. I am a man with straightforward hair and straightforward requirements and I simply needed someone to address the situation on a regular basis. Evolve addressed it. Then they kept addressing it, at a consistent level of quality, across a considerable number of appointments, without a single visit that made me reconsider the arrangement. Do you know how rare that is. Consistency at that level is something most people only discuss in aspirational terms. At some point the appointment stopped being a haircut appointment and became the thing I look forward to that week. I did not plan for this. It happened anyway. I am at peace with it. The pedicures came later. I am tall. My feet exist at a considerable distance from my face and I had, over the years, developed a relationship with them that could be charitably described as out of sight, out of mind. I approached the pedicure conversation with the cautious energy of a person who suspects they are about to reveal something about themselves that a professional will find notable. The staff at Evolve did not find it notable. They explained what the service involved, what they would do and in what order, and what I should expect to feel during each part. They answered my follow-up questions without suggesting, through tone or expression, that the questions were anything other than reasonable. This matters more than people acknowledge in reviews. What followed was a revelation I am still processing. My feet, which had developed characteristics over the years I can only describe as ambitious in the wrong direction, are now soft. Consistently soft. Every visit. I can feel surfaces I was previously unaware I was walking on. I attribute this entirely to Evolve and to staff who explained the process clearly enough that I actually understood what was happening and why. The massages came after that. Deep tissue, for reasons involving the shoulder region and several years of accumulated tension that had established what I can only describe as a permanent residency. I had never had a massage. I said this out loud. The staff responded by explaining exactly what would happen, what they would need from me during it and how to indicate if anything was too much. What they needed from me was to lie down and breathe. I am qualified to do both. I did them. The tension, which I had come to regard as structural, turned out not to be. I am still adjusting to this information. What gets lost in reviews that focus only on services and hours is this: Evolve is consistent. Not just good. Consistent. The haircut I get today is the haircut I got years ago. The pedicure produces the same result every visit. The massage addresses the same problem with the same competence. And every time I have walked in not knowing what to expect from something new, someone has taken the time to explain it until I did. That last part is what keeps the appointment on the calendar. It is not moving.

I drove down from Minot to this salon for a consultation and perm with Tanya in November 2025…read more During the consultation, she made it very clear that she was not going to be able to achieve the "wavy" perm I had requested. She explained that she would need to take off a lot of hair and do a tight perm in order to give it volume and that it would soon fall to a "wavy" texture. Regrettably, I agreed to proceed with the perm. As she was wrapping the hair, I could tell it was very tight, but this was my first perm and I didn't know what to expect. When she got to the front pieces, the hair was pulled so tightly it was starting to make my eyes water. In her defense, I did not let her know that it felt so tight because I assumed that was just the way it had to be. When the process was over and I saw my hair, I was immediately disappointed by the curl pattern, but even more disturbed by the breakage. I have an absurd amount of breakage at the scalp, especially my bangs, which is shown in the photos. There is more breakage throughout the head but the front pieces are the most embarrassing for me as they are difficult to hide. Breakage has continued to worsen with time since the perm and I'm using Olaplex to try to prevent it from leaving a huge bald patch. Full transparency - I have not reached out to the salon about my experience as I frankly don't want them touching my hair again. I feel bad leaving a negative review but I feel like people should know! Please reconsider before getting a perm here! Pictured are my results the day of the perm, breakage after ~3 weeks, breakage after 6 weeks, and my hair a few days BEFORE the perm for reference
