I was the first one to arrive and decided to enter the store to grab some coffee and something to eat as the rest were due to arrive shortly. As I situated myself at the table, I sat my bag down and was about to walk to the drink station. Before I could proceed I was interrupted by the cashier as he came out from the office area; and what he said was unprofessional and uncalled for. Ken "these chairs are up for a reason". My reply, "I will be getting something to eat and drink, I'm a paying customer" Then Ken actually grabbed my chair and placed it back up on the table and said "you need to leave, you can't be up in here" I have never been treated like a second class citizen in Texas but that morning I had been. I will never give my business to an establishment that doesn't appreciate a paying customer. Furthermore, I will not spend a single penny at any Stripes establishment in the Killeen area!

OK, 1st the good…read more The store has either been recently remodeled or is brand new it used to be called the corner store according to Google maps. Ever what the case, the remodel and look is very modern, up beat, clean, well stocked, bright and inviting. The selection is fantastic, there's a ton of variety, fresh food (for convenience store standards), lots of cold drinks (especially important in this hot hot hot temperature) and all sorts of other goodies.... plus fuel can't beat it. I do have to say, that upon walking in the store and there was a grim face behind the counter, she was near expressionless, I greeted her with a smile said how you doing today in my normally booming voice, received 0 back. Made my liquid selection, gathered my goodies and made my way to the counter where I was again greeted by an near expressionless attendant.... I take that back grim expressioned attendant. She rang up total, stated it and I paid using my car per norm.... she asked... receipt? I replied no thank you... may I have a sack? She snatches one from the dispenser shakes it put and hands it to me... i bag my own product and leave... i wish her a great day and turn to leave in the same silence i was greeted with.... hmmm. I have been a regular customer for lottery tickets, stopping by nearly every day specifically for…read morethat purpose. In the past, I've never encountered any issues with using my debit card for these purchases. Today, however, I was informed that lottery tickets could not be purchased with a debit card unless combined with another item. While I understand this may be due to transaction fees, that has nothing to do with me. Don't open a business if you're concerned with machine fees. Additionally, I've noticed some ongoing concerns with the store's overall condition: - Dust accumulation in various areas - Stale selection of candy and chips - Flat fountain drinks I've purchased other items (such as snacks for my nephews) in the past and experienced these same quality issues firsthand. I truly value convenience stores like yours for quick lottery access, but these factors have led me to decide I will no longer be returning. I wish you the best of luck with your business moving forward and hope this feedback is helpful in identifying areas for potential improvement.
