They are up to date with what's on trend and have never done a bad job with my hair. The best part? They charge fair prices! I literally pay 1/3 of what I used to pay when getting my hair done at a well known chain close to this particular salon - and I'm going by the prices my former stylist charged 2 YEARS ago. Be prepared that because they charge fair prices they will not spend a lot of time chit chatting with you and work quickly; as you can guess by now they are extremely busy on Saturdays!

She takes the time to address your current hair concerns, offers tips to suit your face frame, and ask all the right questions, so rest assured when I tell ya, you can leave your tresses to Lucette, as she will take care of you and have you step out looking like a diva!! I was very impressed with her work, but mostly with her dedication and time she spent on ensuring I looked my best. No rush work, no glancing at the clock, no taking calls (I've experienced this in other salons)...just perfect one on one time. Am so going back to her, and look forward to my next appointment with her. This time, I feel like a burst of colour for my tresses. It was Taylor, at Be Hair, on Oaklands Rd. Marion. I went along and had a bit of a makeover ie I suggested what needed to be done and said sort of "go for it". The compliments re my hair, have come in thick and fast since that time. One lady in my exercise group recently, just sort of stared at me! It seems it was my haircut, apparently it was "just gorgeous" Thankyou Taylor, there is nothing quite like a good haircut to make a girl feel good.

My family and I, happened to be in town having lunch, when my husband disappeared for a few mins only to return and tell me we are going to the hairdresser. They saw my hair, took pity on me and within a couple hours, George and team had corrected the horror on my head and replaced it with everything I originally had wanted from the first hairdresser. I felt welcomed, I felt important and was treated like a queen. I walked out of the salon feeling like a million bucks. I will be coming back from now on and recommending them to my family and friends. Thank you George, for taking such good care of me.

It takes something big for me to switch hairdressers (sorry, 'stylists')…read more I will only change to a stylist, not salon, that is recommended and even then only if the person recommending it has similar hair to mine and I like what has been done. I've left too many salons and burst into tears in my car to take any more risks. I went to a Rundle Street salon for years and even continued there when I moved interstate as, based on previous bad experiences, I was too nervous to find another. Thankfully I made regular trips home to Adelaide to visit family and booked in a cut and colour each trip. When my sister with similar locks switched salons, it was easy for me to follow suit. "I need a cut and colour and I'd like you do cut me a fringe just the same as you did my little sis." I told Richard, the owner and wizard with the scissors. He's also a makeup artist and specialises in getting that colour just right for your skin tone. I loved the result and have been going there ever since. The salon is open and modern with floor to ceiling glass on three sides offering views into the mall, over the rear car park and to the street - not all that exciting in themselves, but when you're waiting for colour to process it's magic, any people-watching activity is entertaining. Richard's built a passionate and professional team. They all have a great attitude with a focus on giving you the style you want rather than encouraging you to try the latest trend. Although if you are into the very latest, I'm sure they are up to the challenge.. The crew have that special ability to fuss over you without fussing over you. If you cape has slipped, they discreetly fix it. They notice as soon as your coffee or wine glass is empty and offer you another. They'll chat if you seem interested, but will leave you in peace to your magazine if your interest in conversation wanes. I have trouble sitting still while waiting for the timer for my colour to 'ding', so often wander about the salon and sometimes into the mall. There are comfy, black lounges with a stack of magazines and a flat screen TV that helps to break up the monotony, but before I know it, I hear the telltale buzzer and I'm at the sinks having a wonderful head massage and feeling the stresses of my week wash away. I haven't had it done myself, but they do makeup too. I usually get my hair done midweek, but I have a friend who has gone in on a Saturday and witnessed a bridal group all having makeup and hair done for that important (and very busy day). Perhaps a one-stop shop for brides. There are a number of awards listed on the entrance, but I'm not all that fussed about that. Here, I feel welcomed, listened to and walk out feeling a million bucks. Can't ask for more than that.

I was having a chat with her and asked how long she'd been there and apparently it has been a while. The front of the salon has a vintage bicycle with a flower basket on the back, which adds to the whole feel. My hair is in the hands of another hairdresser but I'm tempted to try this one out, so if I do I will keep you posted (but no beehive please).

After buying a Scoopon in August last year and…read moremaking an appointment in September, they cancelled on the morning I was meant to go in, telling me that the hair extension technician went home sick. They told me she would call me when she was back at work. Three weeks later she called and we made another appointment in October. Same scenario, called me on the day and cancelled, telling me they would call me back. No one called me so I called after waiting nearly a month!! I was told to leave my name (AGAIN!!) and someone would call me back. I then waited another few weeks and rang again and was told that they weren't booking any appointments until next year as they didn't have "the book yet" WTF! I left my name and was told someone would call me back. I rang AGAIN a few weeks later, when it was about three weeks until the Scoopon expired, and was told I was on the list and someone would call me when I was at the top of the list. I asked if this would be before the 2nd of February - as that was the date the coupon expired and was told they would honour the coupon after the date. I rang them today to see if I was any closer to the "top of the list" and was told "Sorry there aren't any appointments left". I argued that I was told they would honour the coupon and said I had made two appointments only to be told it was "too bad". When I complained about the inadequate service I had received the woman hung up on me! The most terrible experience I have ever had!!!
