A drive-through beer distributor is a tried and true method that is both convenient and efficient. The only thing that can really bring is down is the staffing.
That said, Star Beverage seems to only hire people who go out of there way to be rude and condescending. I'm a 35 year old male who looks his age. Twice now, I've been to this place and received the Gestapo treatment from the pimpled 20 somethings manning the drive through. I've been accused of furnishing alcohol to minors, who attempting to use fake ID, all before I even attempt to purchase anything. Apparently I looked vaguely like someone who had been there before, and so I needed to be grilled, despite the fact that I was in a car by myself, more than willing to present my ID showing that I'm 14 years past the legal age to drink. The aforementioned employees seem to get off on mentioning that their garage is covered by security cameras, and that I can be prosecuted for some ambiguous crime if I misstep with them. Thanks but no thanks. I can certainly understand security measures when they are fairly close to a college campus, but accusing adults of crimes seemingly at random is not very good customer service. I'll make the trip down to Brew Zoo or Budget Beverage from now on. If I wanted to be grilled by douchebag bouncers, I'd go to the Island or up to state college. read more
