We were kicked off our court because some people said they reserved it. I checked the electronic display for. It didn't say anyone booked that court. - Another time, two of us were waiting to join another two, but another other two waltzed right onto the court, making us have to wait longer even though we were there first. - No water fountain nor water bottle refill station. - Faulty lights. At times almost all the lights randomly turned off, and the players just had to stand there twiddling their thumbs waiting for the lights to turn back on to continue playing. - The restroom paper towel dispenser only ejects 3-4 inches of paper at a time - Not quite enough room to walk behind the courts. - Many broken chairs. - It may be hard for you to communicate or connect with some people here because of a language/culture barrier. - There's no big sign in the front of the parking lot pointing you to the back. I was confused trying to find this place. - At $11/day, the facility needs more badminton courts. Perhaps total 15 or more. -- Given all these lingering flaws that the Los Angeles Badminton Club has, $11/day seems expensive. You can access other sports with better amenities for free. For a high quality facility, yes. For a subpar one such as this, $5/day max seems more fair.

The facility is clean but apparently groups will reserve the courts for hours which makes walk in on busy day especially Friday night impossible to play. Not a bad thing just a testament to how popular this place is! You can reserve the court online and split the price with friends. However I do not recommend coming as walk in as I waited 2.5 hours and only played 30 mins in 3 broken segments of 10 minutes. Everyone is nice here including the guests, lots of seniors, kids, teenagers. There are about 16 courts, very very warm, no ventilation, there is a Thai restaurant that serves the courts directly. They have a cool rfid system to queue up and the lights turns off to indicate the court is moving to the next queue.

Did not try to upsell me anything and recommended me strings for my arcsaber play. The place is a relatively small shop, but I got to know the owner. He said his shop has been here for a very long time. I actually drive by this place on my way to play badminton, but have never really seen it! His prices are incredibly reasonable, and I would surely come back to get a racket restrung. As far as shuttlecock or rackets for purchase, the selection is quite limited. The shuttlecocks were a bit pricey for the high quality ones, so I did not opt for them. He noted costs for shuttlecocks increased significantly due to tariffs. Anyhow, I am all for supporting small businesses, and he seems like an honest, genuine shop owner. Hope to see his shop succeed! Parking is available in front, shared with the rest of the plaza. Did not have any problems finding parking when I came.

They also offer racket rental and shoe rentals for $5 each! Parking is a little bit limited, you have to drive all the way to the backside of the building. When I came here on a Saturday, I only saw people playing badminton, so I'm not sure if Pickleball is in different area.

If you don't have the right shoes they have shoe rentals for $5. Price for renting the court is $38/hr if you reserve. They have walk in for $15/person minimum of 2hrs play. But if the court is full then you will have to share the court with other walk in player within that 2hour. Overall it's a nice indoor court. It doesnt get too busy so coming walk in is cheaper. Staff are there to assist if you have any questions.

In terms of playing games, from what the other players I asked how it works is: you have to put your bird on the little cones in the corner. If here are 2 of you, you have to put two birds there so people know there are 2 of you waiting. You are guarantee 2 games once you step on the court. After 2 games you have to get off. All this seem fair except that people at this club like to play with their friends so even when I had my birds on the cones and when they where done they all got off and people straight up would say "no" I don't want to play you. hmmmm... I guess that is a problem. I'm not sure management can do something about that. In Fremont area, and in the badminton community I think it happens very often which is very unwelcoming to newbies or even people who come in one or twos, who want to play. Unlike pickle ball. I get in people faces and ask them to play with me as if I'm a man asking a girl to dance at a club. And yes, guys walk away but someone eventually says yes, and I try to kick their ass because at this point I'm mad and fustrated. Since is it summer it is really hot, and I will say the temperature is the same outside as it is inside maybe hotter inside as everyone and their grandmother is in there running around. The price was also kind of crazy , $42 for six people for one hour feels steep for what you're getting. The building feels a little outdated overall, and the restroom was honestly not great. The brown soap coming out of the dispenser was not it. Also, the lady at the front desk wasn't very friendly and rushed us off right when our time was up, even though there were empty courts.
