I've been here a couple of times for a drink and the bar menu has always looked great so I decided to pop in one day for my lunch! Knowing I was eating later on I opted for one of their light bites although their main menu looked great aswell. The B.L.A.T was a good twist on the classic with the addition of some tasty avocado. With a side of salad and served in a crusty bun - it just hit the spot! Having treated my mum to a spot of lunch too saw her going for the hot salmon salad served in the same dressing and some soft boiled eggs which also looked divine. All washed down with some white and rose wine and just enough waiting time for our food - i'd say success all round. I need to come back to try some of the bigger mains!

In my humble opinion it is the best in the North East, it has a bar and diner upstairs, it is next door to a McDonalds, Frankie & Bennies, Pizza Hut and a local pub so you are not restricted to just the cinema if you have a while to wait for your screening or you want some food or drink after the movie. There is an Asda a few yards away also which comes in handy if you would like to do a bit shopping on way hom also. The cinema itself is really comfortable, the seats are really comfortable and roomy and I think this is one of the main things I like about this cinema and sets it apart from other cinemas Ive visitedoh and the popcorn is the best I have ever tasted!!

I've also never been to a packed cinema here - most films seem under-attended, but I actually prefer that. If you join their club, you get cheap tickets on Tuesdays, and they also do Meerkat movies so you can get a good deal that way. One mildly annoying thing (though it's for a good cause) is that cinema staff pop in once or twice during each film to make sure people are sitting in the proper seats - namely, that nobody is sitting in the premium seats who hasn't paid for them. It's a small distraction but over quickly, and keeps people from sitting in the wrong spot. I've been to other cinemas where people just sit wherever they like, and it's a massive hassle to get your proper seat, so at least here they're looking out for you. If there is a panto on or a new show then it is packed so be prepared to arrive earlier. The seats are dead uncomfortable though so bring a pillow if you need it. Usually find the back seats go first as they have more leg room, so arrive earlier if you want those seats.
