After that, I went to see an optometrist--someone who was completely unprofessional, rude, and racist. They didn't acknowledge me at all; I sat there for 30 minutes, and--nothing. So, I asked myself these questions: 1. Do you feel disrespected? Yes. 2. Did they acknowledge or greet you? No. 3. Do you feel like being "helped" by people who don't show you even a shred of concern, respect, or PROFESSIONALISM? Of course not. 4. Do you want to spend over $500 at a business that is displaying clear signs of racism? NO--absolutely NOT! So, I went right down the street to a very nice optometrist instead. I have a Flexible Spending Account that is used exclusively for things like glasses and dental treatments. So, my new glasses should be arriving soon! I spent $752 there. Eye Express's Loss.

All was a waste of time because they didn't happen to mention they charge new patients $150!! They called it a co-pay. My insurance doesn't say anything about a co-pay. I wanted my time and gas because not only was I not told about a co-pay, but I didn't expect to pay $150. Most people would have like to know something like that before hand. They did not attempt to shave down 1 mm thick lenses with an index of 1.74, which is the highest possible. I sent them back and 11 days later, one lense was shaved down significantly more than the other, leaving them noticably lopsided. I will not use them again, as they can not handle the high index lenses. I recommend Institute Optical on S. Wheeling in Tulsa for high index prescriptions. This was a $375.00 mistake. The staff was ok, but not experienced in high index lenses enough to know what to expect from their lab.

I was texted a link and easily booked my appointment. I went in with what I found out was a painful stye & he immediately checked me out, issued me a prescription for antibiotics, & gave me immediate relief! I recently had my 2 week checkup & got a prescription for glasses to make my life easier too. Getting old sucks but their customer service is stellar! This team is very caring and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and get you solutions! They have a decent amount of frames to choose from for sunglasses and reading glasses, contacts, etc. depending on what you're needing.
