We are an Asian American family and I felt like we were being targeted because there were a bunch of other "non minority" kids playing football and running into people but none of them had said a word. She just had her eyes on us the whole time. He already has a swim pants on and then I said that she seen us enter and we were sitting down in front of her face the entire time why she didn't say anything when we first got in. she was there and seen us but didn't say anything until my son started to have fun. I didn't like the experience so we left. She was a blonde girl between 5'6 - 5'7 monitoring the kiddie pool around 1:15pm 12/30/24 The prices are affordable and the place seem really decent enough I'm just not happy with the worker that told us right when I finally got my son to open up. It took a long time to show him the water was ok. He is non verbal so to see him smiling and having fun then being told he can't wear that already an hour in, hurts.

Definitely an affordable and fun thing to do with your family. The bathrooms with showers have always been clean and, because we tend to go right when the pools open on Sundays, there's never any lines to use them. There's plenty of lockers for you to securely store any belongings, but my family usually just leaves our stuff out with our stroller, parked where we can see it at all times. The kids area of the pool is right at the entrance. It has a small running water slide for the younger kids, a whole play structure with slides for the bigger ones, and the water is much shallower, allowing for kids of all ages to have fun! My twins love sitting tummy-deep in the water and splashing away. There's also a small lazy river that's a lot of fun to go around! My son is about 4ft 7in and he can stand with his head above the water and freely float about the current. Next to the lazy river is a huge water slide for those who don't mind climbing stairs and being somewhat high up. My husband and friend have said it takes you down a lot faster than they expected. It was a ton of fun. There's a rope separating the area of the pool where the water sliders come out and the lazy river / kid area is, so my son was able to have fun watching his dad shoot right out the water slide. Next to the large water slide are the lap pool and diving boards. The lap pool has a few lanes and is perfect for getting in some aerobic exercise. There are two diving boards; one standard 3 or 4 ft and a bigger 10 ft board. We've only been here for the indoor pools, but we would absolutely come to utilize the many other functions of this center.

This is a very unique experience that I won't soon forget. Pricey so may be a one time experience,…read morebut if you are reconsidering it... I say do it once! They say that over 10,000 years ago the Homestead Crater was formed when melting snow along the Wasatch Mountains mixed with heated geothermal hot springs 2 miles below the earths surface started spewing out water and picking up minerals such as limestone which were then deposited above the earths surface forming a volcano or "beehive" like formation. A Swiss settler discovered it in the late 1800's and named it a hot pot. Originally visitors had to be lowered into it via cable. As of the mid 1990's there is now access via a tunnel. We of course had to check it out and I'm so glad we got to experience it and learn about the history. It wasn't as hot as I had expected it to be, and while I initially thought 50 min was not enough of an experience, it most certainly was.

I asked my sister if she wanted to go when they came out here for Christmas, and I had her help me choose where to go. I polled friends, and then I had her choose. She chose the Homestead Crater, and she wasn't disappointed! It isn't too interesting in terms of things to look at, but getting to swim in a hot spring in a Crater, on Christmas Eve no less, made it a cool experience for family from Virginia. The water reflected was pretty blue-ish, which reminded me of a lagoon (like in The Little Mermaid ). I loved hearing of the history of the cave, how it was formed, and the minerals in the water. The water was perfect for a cold day. There are a few stalls, built into the cave wall for changing. The time changing is included in the 1 hour time slot you pay for. The staff was nice and knowledgeable. You do have to wear a life vest, which is provided at the Crater. There are also a couple of places you can sit, like the shallow end of a pool, if you don't want to "swim." Scuba diving is an option, for a little extra. Apparently some of my friends certified there for their scuba certifications. We hope to come back again soon!

Being the neighborhood gym, it is not too shabby, in fact, it is pretty decent and well equipped. It is located within Centennial Park and is right next to the West Valley Accord Ice Skating Rink. This gym has all the necessities and has a decent price for entry compared to other gyms. Here are the perks: The Good 1. Large parking lot 2. Pool -- One for kids with a large slide, small lazy river and other kid friendly water contraptions. The other for laps and playing marco polo or water basketball. There is also one hot tub. 3. Two levels of equipment -- Top floor is filled with cardiovascular equipment such as: ellipticals, treadmills, stationary bicycles, and a small track. The bottom floor has weight lifting equipment and free weights. All equipment are in good condition. 4. Great for kids -- If you have kiddies running around there is a massive playground for them to lose all their energy. The playground is big enough that they could get lost in it. Seriously. They also have a daycare and day camp for kids. 5. Racquet Ball courts that you can reserve beforehand. 6. Rock climbing wall 7. Small indoor track 8. Many different programs such as cycling, zumba, water aerobics, etc. that you can sign up for at a decent price. 9. Plenty of free lockers so bring your own lock! There are also some to purchase if you want to as well. 10. The facility doesn't smell like b.o. 11. Right next to a skating rink so you can skate afterwards too. 12. Located within Centennial Park so you have access to two play grounds for kids (one of which has swing sets), bbq areas, tennis courts, a bike/running trail, wide open spaces for ultimate frisbee or other sports. 13. Close enough to Walmart so you can do shopping afterwards if necessary. Two birds with one stone, right? The Bad 1. Saturday it closes at 9 pm and Sundays opens at 10:30 and closes at 5. 2. Crowded, crowded like a can of sardines from 3 to 8 Monday through Thursdays. In the wintertime it gets worse especially in January when people make those damn resolutions. 3. Unsupervised children using equipment sometimes. Very bothersome and annoying. 4. Some of the patrons just sit around on the equipment and chat and chat and chat and silent and chat some more. 5. Pretty much, the bad comes from the other patrons that use the facilities. This can be avoided if you go to the gym earlier in the morning when everyone is working or late at night two hours before closing. Overall, I gave this gym four stars because it has everything you could ask for in a gym and a little bit more.
