Wish I could leave zero stars. I have a 60's farmall cub…read morethat I needed an oil pan gasket, alternator belt, and a fan belt. I thought I could call a reputable implement shop so I didn't need to do any research and order the belts online myself. I thought I could trust a small business. They gave me the incorrect belt the first time I came. After that I did my research and told them to order me a 23" belt. They called me and said it came in and they had a 27" belt and told me to try it. As per expected it was too long. I called and told them to order a new belt that was 23" and they called back and said they had it... it was a 25" belt that was once again too long. After way too many trips back and forth just for them the continue to give me the wrong belt. I am 22 years old and they have treated me like I am an infant. They have shown me no respect and talk to me like I am brain dead. I will never do business with them again.

It's easy to get in and out. Very nice facilities. They've usually got a fire going outside. We only get a Frazier Fir, but there appear to be many others to choose from. Everyone is super nice and this year they were especially accommodating to our unusual circumstance and went above and beyond our needs. You can cut you own or they will do it for you. They also have pre-cut trees available. Prices are very reasonable for the quality: 9 foot tree for $116 this year. They bail the trees for you if you want which makes getting it in the house much easier. There's a nice shop on the premises. They have saws and wheeled carriers to transport the trees back to the bailer. We drive 2 hours there and it's well worth it! Thank you to all at Happy Land!!

Our Farm Christmas Trees - Cut your own Christmas tree!

Our Farm Christmas Trees

If you're on the hunt for a live Christmas tree in the Oak Grove area of the Twin Cities, Our Farm…read moreChristmas Tree Farm is the place to go! A father and sons establishment, Our Farm has been 15 years in the making. The Ritcher family started planting trees in 1998 on their property with several varieties--Balsamic and Fraser firs or Scotch, White, and Norway pines. They offer cut-your-own or pre-cut! My family grew up with the lovely smell of pine in the house around Christmas time, and it has been a continued tradition to trek out into the woods and cut a tree ourselves. At Our Farm, you have the option to walk all around the 40 acres to hunt for your preferred tree, or one of the sons can offer to drive you into the back area (where all of the biggest and best trees can be found.) We were pleasantly surprised by the selection. We had trouble deciding because every tree seemed like the perfect one. I think the best part though was getting to enjoy the beautiful property. When we settled on the perfect tree, the Ritchers shook the excess needles off and bailed it for us. They even were kind enough to assist in tying it down to our truck's roof. The Ritchers were folksy and incredibly pleasant to chat with, telling the story of his grandad was a tree farmer elsewhere in Minnesota and they wanted to continue the family tradition. Pop Ritcher has big plans for the Farm, hoping to have hay rides, hot cocoa stations, and toboggans to haul your tree up from the back woods. Really glad too that they were open just three days before Christmas. Many tree farms are closed by now. Their prices are fair for their trees. We got a huge Norway pine for $60! Be sure to make it your tradition for Christmas, to visit the Ritchers for your Christmas tree.

Whoa. This place is succulent city…read more My friend is getting married in a couple of weeks and is making her own bouquets and arrangements for the tables (yes, she's crazy). She tracked down Greenworld because they sell their cuttings at much cheaper prices than you'd find at a florist. On Saturday morning, four of us hopped in a car stocked with Isles puppy dog tails and coffee and shlepped ourselves to North Branch to check it out and pick out which cuttings she wanted for the arrangements. You have to make an appointment during their off-season---they are not open to the public otherwise. I've NEVER seen so many succulents in one place. Mainly, the greenhouse is full of hundreds of kinds that I had never seen ever. Strange rose-mimicking plants, bright orange and purple colors, furry friends, snowball cacti... and a new kind of aloe plant that looks like a cylon basestar (nerd alert). See photo: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/greenworld-greenhouse-north-branch?select=TLWUoAhWW9BCHHh4jCkTIg#TLWUoAhWW9BCHHh4jCkTIg The owner is super chatty, but also informative about how to take care of the plants and when would be the earliest to put the bouquets together. For example, did you know that you are supposed to clip succulents fairly often and then replant the clippings. Otherwise some of them just get tall and sad. He was nice enough to make cuttings for a wedding inspiration board, so to speak. We messed around with combinations of different plants for a while and then let him know what the plan was. After that, I roamed the aisles again and picked our some new additions to my own succulent family (I've covered my whole bay windowsill with them). I picked our four good size plants that were only $5 each and not things you'd typically see in a store. Normally, they do accept credit cards, but it's cash or check during the off-season. The cylon plant has shown no signs of attacking the other plants, but there are many copies... and they have a plan.
