Location: Penfield, NY Your job was to BALANCE and put…read morethem on PROPERLY! I have been back twice because when I drive over 60 mph the steering wheel shakes. I was told that the front was not balanced? WHAT? And that you did me a FAVOR and "FIXED" all of them? OH and by the way, what happen to my wheel weights. HORRIBE first time experience and last. Unfortunately, now I have to SPEND MORE $$ to fix this horrible job. Washed my truck yesterday and surprise, they scratched the hell out of my brand new rims too. Thank you!

I have mixed opinions about this Goodyear franchise. I came here regularly years ago because I…read morefound the staff to be honest and trustworthy. I stopped coming for a while, but only because I was getting free maintenance with Dorschel during my lease. I finally returned today. To my great disappointment, the staff suggested lots of unnecessary work which would have made my visit significantly more expensive. I reviewed the invoice with the receptionist line-by-line, crossing out things which he himself admitted were not essential: duct cleaning, a tire warranty, an expensive alignment plan which would have allowed me to get more alignments in the future, and more. I'm not an economist, but I know that these plans and warranties are unlikely to save me money in the long run. If they were, Goodyear wouldn't be selling them. If peace if mind is what you're after, sure. But that's a different story. When all was said and done, I had saved about $500 by removing these unsolicited extras. That's not a small chunk of change. I left disappointed, wondering how else they screwed me over. After reviewing the invoice with another person, it became clear that I also overpaid for alignment and the cabin filter. They charged me $95 for alignment and $50 for the cabin filter, including $10 of cabin filter labor. I have to give the receptionist credit for not fighting me on these adjustments. He even admitted that some of the work was non-essential. I can even understand that businesses are struggling right now, but that's no excuse to screw customers. Customers are struggling, too. It's disappointing to know that I would have spent an extra $500 for little to no benefit benefit had I not read the invoice carefully. I'm sorry to say that I don't think I'll be back. All of that being said, the work they do is very good, as far as I can tell, the staff is knowledgeable and professional, and the waiting room is clean, with free water and decent WiFi. They didn't poke me in the eye. My car didn't explode. So 2 stars it is.

If I could give zero stars I would...listen to this experience...truly unbelievable...but 100%…read moretrue. I want to share our experience at Mavis Discount Tire so others are aware. My husband brought our car in for two front tires. We paid $330 and received a receipt claiming the tires had been replaced. This is what took place:: * Employee took our car for over an hour without permission. The manager at the shop had no idea where our vehicle was and he called the police assuming it had been stolen. This is after he said our car was "all set" and my husband paid for the work. * the employee returned to the shop with our car (about the same time the police arrived), saying he had taken it for a test drive. This is completely BS because he was gone for more than an hour and racked up ~30 miles on the odometer. - the employee also smoked in the vehicle which left an odor of smoke and ashes on the dashboard. (We are not smokers and our vehicle has never been smoked in). - when my husband got home with our vehicle and parked it, he realized that the tires on the car were still our old tires. They never even c did the work we paid for!! * And...the icing on the cake...the Receipt my husband got after paying for the work that was never done, listed our odometer reading as 28,000 miles, while the car actually has 57,000+ miles! So...if we had actually gotten the new tires, the tire warranty of 65,000 miles would look to have 30,000 miles already on it when we left the parking lot! We seriously could not have made up an experience as bad as this! We ultimately received a full refund for what we paid but we highly advise against going to this establishment or any Mavis in the area as the REGIONAL manager did not seem to take this matter seriously. In fact, he told us the employee that took our vehicle for a 30 mile joyride was "reprimanded " but not fired.

I brought my car in a month ago to have my winter tires swapped with my summer tires. I noted this…read morein the online appointment and when one of the staff called to confirm. They rotated my winter tires instead. People make mistakes, so when I finally had some time, I brought the car back. I agreed to come back and get the car when they called. The guy who waited on me said they were busy, even though there was only one car in the garage. I assumed it would be a few hours, so I took a walk and went grocery shopping. Two hours later my car was still sitting untouched in the parking lot. The garage was empty. Two staff members were out back admiring someone's sports car, and the third was sitting on his phone inside. I asked for my fob, and they initially couldn't find it. The woman on shift got a little snarky, and insisted I didn't give it to them. A few minutes later they found it and I left. It appears that they forgot about me this time. That was my last time at Mavis. My experience has been nothing but a frustrating waste of time. I expect I'll get the same copy/paste response everyone below has gotten asking me to call. No thank you.
