Wash that down with a few buckets, and it was averagely priced. Bar in the inside is kind of tight, as it's not a huge bar. But the bartender was friendly enough. The manager/owner came out and was directing us where to sit , cause he's telling us it's 11 AM it's gonna get really crowded, real quick. Which it did , but at least we got to eat and have some beer first, before it got out of control with wall-to-wall people. Which was expected . But again you're two blocks north from the White Sox play, why wouldn't it get out of control and it was a playoff game. I did enjoy the service and the atmosphere... since as a Chicago sports fan you don't get many playoff opportunities, so it's always a fun atmosphere. Turtles was good and I would go there again. On one side is the bar and a few TVs to watch the games, giving it a louder sports bar kind of vibe. On the other side there are a bunch of tables--almost like picnic tables. It feels very communal and laid-back. It's a place you can sip on drinks and easily spend time with a group of friends. The Cove is very group-friendly. My favorite part? The beer selection was pretty good. All of the basics you would expect. They had free pretzels and cheese balls, too. The service was great and the bar tenders were very friendly.
