Evard and his partner Z were very knowledgeable worked together as a team to insure our carpet was done just right and to our satisfaction. I had them come last week to steam 3 rugs. They coaxed me into getting this enzyme freshener. It was the worst ever.The smell lingered and is still lingering and actually giving me such a headache. I called and talked to Ciara who is their quality assurance manager and explained to her what was going on and asked her if she would please refund what we paid for this enzyme freshener. I explained to her I did not want any money back for services rendered as far as cleaning the rugs, but this extra freshener is absolutely awful and I would appreciate if she could give us a refund and she would not. I went back-and-forth with her explained to her that it was actually making us sick. Do yourself a favor stay away from these people they try to sell you everything.I was quoted one price on the phone and it was triple by the time this tech left. Edvardas was very pushy.Very, very disappointed with them and the fact that they would not refund me for the enzyme freshener which I really did not want anyway, but was talked into. Disappointed in the quality of the work. Hired Stanley steemer to clean & seal tile in 7 areas of my house. I was unable to inspect their work while they were here because you cannot walk on the wet floors. After the floors were dry, it was very apparent they did not clean the floors well. For example spackle dust was still on the floor as well as other items & spots. The multiple colors of the grout, also show that they did not clean the floors entirely. For the price, I would expect better quality of service. It's a shame because I was going to hire them for our hvac ducts. read more

Would never use them again, or recommend them. First thing in the door, the person tried to sell us two mismatched doormats; he said "If you had these mats, you would not have the stains". Seriously? Then he asked if we had any specific stains. I showed him. The stains are still there. Then he said "Yes you have Berber carpet, but there are different qualities of Berber, and yours is not one of the good versions". Another Seriously? Next, he told us not to go barefoot on the carpet because oil from our feet will leave oil stains. Where did they find this guy? When it came time to pay I got out the checkbook, because I asked when I called, "Yes we take checks". He said we prefer cash, or if you have a credit card. He then said our cat 8#'s; and dog 20#'s, could not walk on the carpet for 24 hours. I am very curious why we was not told any of these things( you cannot walk barefoot on carpet, nor can your dog or cat walk on it), so we could make arrangements. Bad business. I told him we have two water spigots outside our home; one for the well which out sprinkler system is hooked to. The other is hooked to our water meter. He said "We don't use well water, too many minerals". He began cleaning the carpet. I said you have your hose hooked to the well. He said "No I don't". SERIOUSLY? The water meter is not moving at all! I do not think all Stanley Steemer's are bad; nor do I even think this location is bad. I just think they hired the wrong person. I felt bad for his assistant. I rarely comment on things, but man was this a mistake. They came with clearly unclean equipment - the place smelled horrible once they left, everything still soaked. Buy a cheap steam cleaner on amazon like I did after, and you'll be much more pleased; no expensive services, no appointments, your own detergent. I can't really comment on the cleaning yet, since I haven't seen it. I am basing my review on the fact that I was quoted $488.61 that was to be charged to me for a family member's 1 room loft condo. It included some wood floor, small amount of carpet and a tiled bathroom. Not only did the make my family member pay (when they initially said he would only have to sign, since I gave them my credit card info), the bill was for $874.81 - nearly $400 dollars more!!!!! So they basically ignored everything that I had discussed with them prior to the service. I will never trust them to clean anything again! read more

I called on Saturday, Dec 22, and an appointment was made for Monday, Dec 24 between 11 and 1. They arrived promptly, were professional and courteous, and they did an outstanding job of cleaning the floor using a multi-step process to remove dirt, oil, grease and other debris. This is the first time I've used a professional team to clean my carpets and upholstery, and they far exceeded my expectations. Crew just left and cannot recommend them. Reading other reviews it seems that the quality you get depends on the crew you get. Lead person of the 2 who came to my house didn't seem to have much common sense or ability to adapt easily to client requests. OK - The Toms River Office has been cleaning my carpets for about 7 years. I ask for the SAME guys EVERY TIME. His name is Edvardus (not sure about the spelling). He's is the BEST! Called them to clean rugs in two rooms. They start off by walking in with dirt on their shoes and track it all over hardwood floors. They start in the loft area and did a fair job although one stain did not come out. My problem is nothing was moved although I asked when I called and the women said furniture would be moved. The rest of the carpet was done randomly at best skipping many areas. One guy sprays a spray bottle and the other runs the vacuum. Not only did they not move any furniture but didn't even try to get under the edges of the furniture. Then they move down to the bedroom. Same issue. No furniture moved except small end table by bed. Again they did not even try to get under anything. I asked why they didn't do the walk in closet. "That will be extra" I questioned why and they said two doors make it extra. They did half the closet. The closet measures 4' X 12' They cleaned 2' X 8' again not going under hanging items or racks. Don't waste your money. Just had the pleasure of having Joseph Edgar from the Toms River, NJ office clean the carpet on the stairs and in my basement. I was seriously considering replacing because of all the wear and tear over the last 10 years, and then believed I had to after replacing my rusty air conditioning unit and furnace left large dark stains through out the basement and up the stairs. Worst experience ever. Had carpets that were 4 yrs old cleaned. The extractor wasn't working because my carpets remained wet for more than 24 hours and they looked matted once they dried. They offered to come back, but I passed. The Tom's River manager offered a 30% discount on my next job, but when I tried to redeem the discount 2 yrs later the new management had no records of my complaint or discount on file. I'll use Sears from now on. It may cost more, but you get what you pay for. read more

Was given one price via their 1-800 number and then told that it would be a minimum of $54 more when they arrived. Management at the corporate headquarters verified that I was given this quote and confirmed that if they had any way to force this independently owned location to comply with this they would. Unfortunately the management here does not care to honor agreements made by their corporate name-sake. Make sure you know what your getting before you waste any time waiting for them.
